Hello..I'm wondering how well the heater attachment works ? I have a mini moto ... I find using some hand sanitizer or a liquid firestarter really helps to gets the pellets to light . Also a lighter with a longer end helps to light it.

Hi Evan, thank you for commenting with some good tips! Everyone has hand sanitizer on them these days, so that is useful info!
The heater attachment works really well but it definitely won't "heat" a large area. It is perfect for sitting around and getting warm but it does not cast the same amount of heat as those large space heater stands. I personally like it though and it is something I would recommend, especially if you cannot have an open camp fire. Thank you again and feel free to ask other questions you may have about it. Hi..great review..I have a mimi moto cookstove..bought the radiant heater for the top ..it does give off quite alot of heat for its size ! I bought a large bag of cheap but hardwood
Pellets ..but there was too much smoke to bring it inside and use ..(yes I know it's for outside )thought it would burn cleaner..do you think it was the Pellets..there was nothing unusual written on the bag that would make me question using them ...any ideas ?

Hi Evan, thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate your feedback! Yes, the heater does give off a nice amount of heat for a small unit! I am uncertain that it would be the pellets. The first thing I would ask is if your fan was going with enough speed. Remember in the video when the power was off to the fan, it smoked like any fire would but once I got the power hooked up and fan on full, it eliminated the smoke entirely. If you had full power, then I would ask how much wood did you put in the hopper. Too much wood could cause it to smoke as well. Please let me know what the situation was and if it is none of the above I mentioned, it may just be the pellets (but I doubt it). That would have really sucked to have smoking up your home! lol. Please remember, even if it is burning "clean", it will be giving off Carbon Monoxide and that is lethal. You cannot smell CO and it will knock you unconscious very quickly and then kill you. Always use a combustion device outside in a well ventilated area. I look forward to your reply! Cheers, Rick :)

I've used it since with no issues.. it's a great little stove .. I set up a sport umbrella and set it up with the radiant heater on top and sat under the umbrella at - 20 C and it gives off a surprising amount of heat ..and the hardwood pellets burn a long time and with no smoke . ..unlike the firepit I have lol I like it .I used my battery pack today to top it up .

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

Hi Jon...I typically just run off the spare pack I showed in the video because that thing lasts for ages. Having said that, the specs on the internal battery from Smokehouse rates it as:
"APPROXIMATELY 28 HOURS (LOW FAN SPEED)
APPROXIMATELY 9 HOURS (HIGH FAN SPEED)
APPROXIMATELY 5 HOURS TO RECHARGE (1 AMP USB)".
They have even come out with a new Solar Panel to charge it!
