  • "Together" is Woodbridge High School student Noelle Zepeda's second-prize-winning film submission into the 22nd Annual Holocaust Art and Writing Contest sponsored by Chapman University and The 1939 Society. Noelle's film is based on the testimony of Renée Firestone.
Permissions have been granted for all media used in the making of this film.
    Noelle's film statement:
“No matter what, we must stay together,” Renee Firestone and her sister reassured one another, promising to stay together after being torn away from their family. These words empowered Renee as she endured the nightmare of the Holocaust. Knowing that she wasn't alone gave her the strength to carry on even after her sister was brutally murdered by the Nazis. Renee shares her story with us as a reminder that if we stick together, sharing our strength, we can persevere through anything. COVID -19 will not shatter our world, it will not destroy our lives, it will only make us stronger.
