"Pippo pappo pippo pappo piii" 🦊🤘🔥
Welcome back John, always cool to see you around with more BM songs.
YAVA! (actually Yabai!, It's a contraction) means like "oh no!" or when describing something dangerous or surprising.
They're fusing ska genre and metal in a way no one did before, the cuteness and charming of our girls is unmatchable.
There's a super fun Kami Band intro version, Mikio Fujioka-sama (the guitarist) doing some magic there. (R.I.P.)
You can enjoy that clip around with footage of Five Fox Festival 2017 and mixed up with Big Fox Festival 2017, that was the last live performance for YuiMetal.
This live at Tokyo Dome 2016 was huge and equally awesome, it was the same place you probably saw Tales Of The Destinies and The One.
They played this song several times with the new avengers system after YuiMetal left the group and more recently last month at Legend MM celebrating MomoMetal's 21 birthday at Yokohama Arena.🍑
"Chigau" in the lyrics is the temporary title fans gave to this song when live premiere without knowing the song, the word means "different" and totally fits with the meaning of the song, this could be a song talking about them, you know the surprise factor of being different.
See you next time!🦊🤘 🔥
Dude, you are seriously a jewel of a person and I look forward to reading your comment every time I drop a BabyMetal reaction! Thank you!
Not only does Su have super stamina, she has great core strength because her voice is steady, even when jumping up and down. She can isolate the muscles for voice production so the movement doesn't bleed over. Su doesn't get the credit for how technical she is. She's on a revolving stage, flame pots going off, timing her breaths while executing choreo, and it's like she's singing in a studio.
Great reaction - and yes Tokyo Dome Red Night was amazing ... I think there is a roughly 50/50 split between who thinks Red Night or Black Night was better - you will have to make up your own mind.
This song - 'YAVA' their take on mixing Ska with the Metal .... and you are absolutely right about Su-metal, she doesn't just sing a line then mince about for a minute until its her turn to sing another line.🤘🦊
friend of mine is in physio therapy and has worked on olympic teams and she went to see them live and says they have to train for these shows like olympic athletes like there is no other way
Oh I believe it! Recently an interviewer said to Moa that they probably train 7 days a week and she said No, just 6 days a week...either practicing dance routines or learning new routines!
Yes, Yava is one of their best songs imo. Top 10-15.
Awesome! Watching your Tokyo Dome reaction as we speak!
This song is one of my favorite. Gotta love Babymetal for doing J-Pop Ska Metal, and call it Yava! (oh no!), while singing about “being different”, and “what should I do?! It’s so different!!”
🤣🤘🦊
YAVA!, Syncopation, and Kagerou are 3 songs that are in my top 10 favorite BABYMETAL songs, but are often overlooked by reactors. Thank you for reacting to YAVA!🤘🦊🤘
I'm right there with you. Hate they didn't make it into the US shows the last tour
Thank you Brother. This was great 🤘
Oh boy, hearing this version when Su was younger just shows how much more amazing of a vocalist she is now. The more recent version of this song at Legend MM blows this out of the water in my opinion.
Iine is another amazing example of Su's endurance, the choreo is intense and she actively participates throughout. Outstanding skill from the start.
Yeah Babymetal's great and only Ska-Metal song. Maybe the only greatest Ska-Metal song.
「Jumping at the same time Singing」Why is it possible? can't believe it😱🤘🦊
Great reaction as always, thanks!
Yep, the Tokyo Dome setup is one of their craziest ones. And yes, Su-metal is a very, very special vocalist and I'm here because of her. I mean, the first thing that got my attention was the Kami Band and the music but I became a die-hard fan after watching Su's solos at Budokan 2014 Black Night.
"YAVA!" is one of my favorite songs... now imagine getting it live, unexpectedly and with the Kami Band intro... 😜
During an interview, Su said that during their hiatus she was happy that she was able to sing over 6-8+ hours everyday without needing to worry about her voice! If she can sing that much, imagine how much easier it is for her to sing nonstop for a 1-1.5 hour concert!🤘🦊🤘
What interview??
For the finale of this show, the girls walked out to the ends of each of the three arms off the stage to shout out their "We are..." and the crowd to respond with "Babymetal!". Then they took the elevator that's hidden away in the centre of the stage to rise to the roof and do a final call and response before Su hit a gigantic gong that was set up on top of the tower of screens. EPIC!
This song is super underrated, I love everything about it :)
think my favoriote part of the Tokyo DOme shows was when they did Road of resistance on tope of the video screens. and when they did IDZ I got winded just watching Moa and Yui run to Su.
Nice reaction, next pleas babymetal kagerou live with intro🙏🔥🤘
Great combination of informed, good and enthusiastic comments on this reaction. Great job and yeah, we can kinda take it for granted-the bar is set so high-but Babymetal and the Kamis just crushed this one.
👍👍Awesomely awesome performance.🦊🦊🦊 🖖❤
Yava is one of my favorite songs. Love the feel and choreography. Especially the opening and the breakdown parts. I swear every BABYMETAL Song could be a hit single. Like back in the day when we waited ( well if you are old like me) for MTV to drop a popular artists new video, BABYMETAL would crush it 100% of the time.
One of the coolest stories from these Tokyo Dome shows is the fact that the girl's "Teacher" Mori Sensei went to one night. He was hesitant to go see the girls as he never attended one of their shows. He was apparently afraid the girls weren't doing what they truly enjoyed musically perhaps. I forget exactly what he was saying or feeling, BUT after seeing this show. He was so impressed and just jaw hitting the floor type of wow. He knew then the girls were meant for this and loved what they do. And I think he felt guilty for not seeing them sooner. There is an audio interview that covers all this. So heart warming. 🤘🦊🤘
You might be surprised, but they had a trick up their sleeves, from an old comment by someone who was there:
Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but the girls were carried onto and off from the stage in black boxes
at Tokyo Dome. They had to do so since there was no way (path underneath or hidden aisle) to get to the stage--located right
in the middle of the arena--without being seen by the audience. The two photos here are from Red Night, and the tweet says
"Yui-chan being transported right now.:)"
Then on Black Night, some of the audience assumed, and they happened to be right, what(or who) were in the boxes and gave
applause to the rolling boxes. Guy who took this photo says, "on the second night just after the show,
when black boxes came out from the stage area, people just stood up and saw them off with warm cheers and applause."
Another fan who saw the boxes tweeted, "I saw the boxes too! Just before one box went over a ramp, guy who
was pushing it tapped on the lid so that someone inside could expect the bump. That is when I knew the three princesses were
in the boxes."
To prove those witnesses right, there are interesting tweets from yet another fan whose friend got a part-time job
as one of the stage crew for Black Night. The tweets go as follows:
"I heard that it took the entire crew from 9 pm that night until 5 o'clock next morning to tear down everything and clean
up the place. A friend of mine was working there part-time. Three princesses came out of the boxes, by the way, laughing all cute and
saying "it(the ride) was fun!" My friend saw all that within the distance of 6 or 7 feet."
"Head of the stage crew mistakenly told my friend and some of the part-time staff to wait at this spot where the girls would be
"unloaded". Well, nobody was supposed to be around the area, and they had to take the blame and were scolded later."
"The three girls seemed to enjoy the occasion. The witness(friend) said that they were all in high high spirits(kyapi kyapi)."
"My friend said her/his(note: tweeter does not mention which) soul was completely stolen in an instant after witnessing the girls."
If you liked this, you'll love this version with a kami band intro: ua-cam.com/video/eBoAL6dCWF4/v-deo.htmlsi=13FkU21JCmocXT5F
Great reaction as usual; nothing beats BabyMetal Live... I love this song; with a little ska thrown in; from the original Holy Trinity....... I love their choreography at the very beginning of the song; all three are perfectly in sync. All three are music, vocal and dancing athletes!!! SUMETAL as an entertainer is next level!!!!
great reaction! Your reaction video is instructive with your extensive knowledge of music!🎸
concert in japan is always amazing there stage is always high tech japan also the one who invented the moving stage concert the name is Matsumoto Jun member of Idol Group ARASHI...
The stage for Tokyo dome is an engineering marvel in itself just the way they designed and built it with an elevator that goes up to the platform on the top and three sets of stairs with platforms on the bottom of each set of stairs not to mention the video screen The bottom platform that turns then you have the platforms that move out to the end of the coffin walkways
From someone who had a friend in the crew: "it took the entire crew from 9 pm that night until 5 o'clock next morning to tear down everything and clean up the place."
Let's also remember: the day before was a baseball game.
@@autohmae Tokyo dome was two nights and there was no game the night before Tokyo dome day one babymetals crew was there the night before building their stage setup because some friends of mine that were in Tokyo for the concerts that were on Periscope when it was still around we're there looking through the doors watching them build it because where they were at some of the doors across the way on the outer concourse were open you could see right into the arena and they streamed some of it on Periscope before some people came and closed the doors
Great reaction as always John! “Java” is a great song and yes, the Tokyo Dome shows were extraordinary in every possible way. ❤🤘🔥🦊
Who else is obsessed with the guitar riffs in this song?
and just now Nick Thurl Mavromatis dropped a banger 🔥 You gotta react to it!
I have the pleasure of having this dvd
It's funny how they wore Black and Gold for Red Night. Then wear Red and Black on Black Night.. 🤔.
I always love hearing that short bit of scat that Su- does leading in to the first verse.
Yava is one of my favorite songs by them, but it's a bit under appreciated.🤘🦊🤘
Mini-info: this song has been performed for a long time at the Legend MM 21 Night on 3 March. And it came with an intro by Kami Band the West, and the three ladies came up from the theater basement after the intro, as they did at the Big Fox Festival in Osaka in 2017. In Japan, it had actually a delay viewing of Legend MM 21 Night today and I just saw it. Kami band the West's performance, including the intro, was massive and different from Kami the East, but it was great.
Next babymetal syncopation 🔥
Lyrics wise, YAVA is not a happy song, but I don't know why YAVA makes me so happy every time.😂
👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾
ah. you finally got around to reacting to Babymetal's objectively best song. To bad more pro-shot videos of it don't exist. Thankfully they played it at Legend MM (I can die happy having seen it.) Hope they release a pro-shot of it.
Only Su could sing the chorus while jumping lol
Great reaction mate :)
Su is definitely superhuman, thats the only explanation lol
Check out the B'z, too and some of Koshi Inaba's First Takes.
Its like ska metal😊

Please react to Babymetal guide 🦊🎸
I absolutely LOVE this song. But it makes miss Yui.....alot
You could tell that this concert they were so connected, timing was perfect, they were all smiles and I agree it makes me miss her
wait it's like Ska-metal?
Yes ! 🙂
I love how they add some "skanking" during their dance, fits the ska feel at the end of the verses. Much better seeing Yui and Moa doing that then a sweaty, suspender wearing, dr. martens stomping dude in a trilby.
Please reacto to Nick Thurl end up dead
What is the name of that live concert on UA-cam

It's Babymetal no more
As usual you TOTALLY ignore Yui and Moa. It's like they don't exist for you. They're working 50x harder than Su, yet you praise how hard Su is working. She's standing still most of the time. It's called being "grounded". It's too bad you think that BM only has 1 member.
Gotta love Gate Keepers 🙌
Chill, dude! We all love Yua and Moi, or whatever. Those are the chicks on guitar, right?
You really havent been here long have you? This guy has been doing BM reactions for over a year and has never once made any excuse or advertisement otherwise that it was Su that initially blew him away (I believe it was Karate, the very first one, and the followup live version). The man is a vocalist, of course he was drawn to the lead singer. Cmon.
No SU-METAL - No BABYMETAL
Deal with it.
I mean it’s in the video title but I do absolutely love Yuo and Moa and in the full reaction I talk about them a ton they all did great just didn’t talk about them much in this song
