It would be of benefit to the people viewing to know our bumper includes a very nice set of custom-made prongs that easily install onto the bumper to hold up a mesh grille. Without the prongs, one will have a hard time fabricating stuff to install a mesh (Group A does not include any special prongs or mesh). Our bumper also includes a high quality black powdercoated aluminum mesh along with stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers. These were all provided or at least should’ve been provided on the side and definitely adds value to the product. This is probably a key feature missing in this video. Not to mention our proprietary HybridFRP™️ material is truely a flexible product and not a marketing gimmick.
In addition to that, our black surface coat is a special flexible and sandable gelcoat/primer hybrid instead of conventional gel coats in most fiberglass that are rigid and difficult to sand and needs more prep work to adhere to primer/paint well. Since our surface coat is a primer hybrid, it sticks with primer well ensuring more longevity in your paint. It also has built in flex agent, so the paint can flex along with it.
We are making more in depth videos on each bumper as we install them on the car, and plan to go in detail on the major differences and similarities between each company.

Just remember... There’s more to quality than just simply having good fitment. There’s a reason why we have a line (wait time) and competing brands do not.

John ortiz a dysfunctional team can’t produce and ship $70-80k worth of goods a month buddy. If you have one mold and it takes a week to build a bumper, which is the time it takes to build one properly. A part sits in a mold for 2 days curing alone. This ensures against warpage. While other companies “speed” things up, we take the time to make sure it comes out properly. That’s why we’ve been a successful business for 13 years. So if we have 15 orders and a bumper takes a week to produce from one mold, do the math buddy. Yes, just for you, we will build a second mold. Quality molds will take 3 weeks to build. We’re constantly building molds. We don’t only sell S2000 products.

Are the new bumpers similar in weight and how do they compare in weight to the OE bumper?
Yep I’ll include them on a future video! I would say pretty identical in weight and similar to the OEM bumper.
Our upper is 6.5 lbs. Our Lower lip w/ honeycomb is 7.5 lbs. Roughly 13 lbs in total. An AP1 bumper w/ CR lip is about 13 lbs for comparison.
I was going to buy shine products for my ISF ended up email arguing with the mega Karen Ken manager. Because he assumed I was upset on a $350 shipping fee when I was willing to pay the additional cost.
I am in touch with group A now , and base on fitment alone it's aftermarket product so modifications are going to be done for fitment. Wait time for the products about 2 months. Hopefully Group A products are better in quality.

@@stackzbundle Biggest reason is overall quality. Group A seems to just have better fit and finish. With shawns bumper everything was pre-drilled and ready to go. You basically unbox the bumper and slap it on the car. The Shine bumper didn't come that way. We never got the proper bolts from shine and the shine bumper actually just tore on us this morning. Needless to say it's getting replaced with a group a bumper.

Was about to pull the trigger on a Group A FRP/Carbon lip... prices have gone up nearly 45% since this video. $1150 now for the same combo plus another $250 for freight. Sheesh... hard pass.

That is for the full carbon fiber version of the bumper. We had the Fiberglass+carbon lip option.
I had the chance to owen both shine and group A parts. Shine auto parts needed more body work to get better fitment, group A fitments on hood,bumper ect is spot on. The frp that shine make after a while you could notice waves on the paint, and you end up spending more money on body shop.
What exact part did you order?
Starting with the spoon top bought that couple years back also bought full asm bumper and hood

Authentic bumpers are for hardparkers or fckbois???? Actually, Authentic parts tend to usually attract purist, most fckbois rock replica parts. Also, I agree replica parts tend to be affordable and pratical for some people, especially if you're on a budget. My Seibon bumper shattered going 35 mph when I hit a chihuahua, my Authentic ASM bumper was still intact when my brakes locked going 50 mph on the freeway, I was able to slow down but still hit a car going about 30 mph. My bumper didn't shatter and was fixable. Authentic parts are a lot stronger and usually fit better.
I agree much better build bumpers
Save your money and support the company who put the work into designing it

Group A Motoring was formed by all the old shine workers. 90% of shine's workers that built shine for the last 12+ years left their arrogant owner 2-3 years ago. I'm Glad they did!!!

1. Who are you again and have you worked for us and dealt with us directly to be making such claims or are you just spewing lies Group A has told you and spreading that as fact?
2. We have been around since 2005 and have employed as much as 50 different employees over the course of 13 years. Shine built Shine. No one currently at Group A had ever owned any part of Shine.
3. Group A has only employed 2 of our former employees. As mentioned earlier, we’ve cycled through numerous people over the years and since the labor pool is small, anyone in the composite industry can hire them. EX-employees no longer work for us for several reasons: bad work habits, work quality not to our standards, low productivity... in essence... not worth the pay they want. Anyone is free to shop the market place.
4. We have 2 former employees of Vorsteiner. We don’t go around telling people we took Vorsteiner’s employees and now we’re just like Vorsteiner. That’s just lame as hell. We just don’t need to. We have our own production protocal and the staff does what they are asked to do.
5. If Group A took 90% of our workers, then how are we still operating? How are we still producing and shipping $70-80k of goods a month for the last 2-3 years? Use your brain buddy. You either simply fell for the lies Group A spewed or you are simply tied to them in some way.
6. No employee Group A has worked for us for 12+ years. Please show proof of employment history. We can do this in any public forum you would like.
7. You’re glad Group A hired a few or our reject former employees? Why? All Group A does is offer inferior products for the same price and it is evident in this video alone. There is absolutely not a single item Group A offers that is better quality than what we offer, yet they are offering it to the public for the same price or more. If you feel differently, feel free to list each item and we’ll be happy to debate.
8. Group A runs a small side operation in an LED warehouse distribution company. It is not a real factory. UA-cam Shine Auto Project and you will find a tour video done by Street Banditos of our 15,000 sq ft facility dedicated to this type of work. You’ll see a spray and a shop ventilation system that cycles all the dust out of the shop every 2 min. Group A doesn’t even have a spray booth in their facility. If they show you pics of a spray booth, it is from a body shop located an hour away. They DO NOT have a spray booth or mechanical ventilation system in their facility, which means their is overspray and dust everywhere. This is not the type of environment for building quality carbon pieces.
9. Group A spews these lies and tells their customers they took all of employees because they want the public to believe they are us to form any type of validity as a new company. They need to use our name to build their brand because they can’t do it on their own. Only fools will fall for this. The end product you receive speaks for itself. “Group A quality is better than Shine Auto” - said no one ever.
10. Don’t make claims you can’t back up. When Mcdonald’s hires former In and Out employees, that doesn’t make them In and Out. Every company has their own system, tools, and machinery in place and their own way of doing things. The employees are trained to do things the way the company wants, not the other way around. Good employees are highly valued here and we do everything we can to keep them around.

In our 13 years of doing business, we’re pretty confident we never screwed any customer over. Why don’t you post your issue with us on a forum and link it here so we can properly respond and verify your story and let the public judge if you were screwed over or not? Chances are, being that you’re posting from a youtube account with barely any history, that you’re simply just another Group A minion trying to stir up a pot.

John ortiz Proves how little you know about composites. We proved we could build well-fitting parts 13 years ago. This isn’t revolutionary. Where do you think Group A employees learned their craft? We already on another level of craftsmenship. Flexibility and durability matters. Reinforcement with carbon and honeycomb in key areas. Light-weight construction. Detailed accessories and features. Afterall, why pay the same price for less features when our fitment is already on point?
@@shineautoprojectusa2807 my shine passenger fender has fitment issues with my authentic ASM IS-11 bumper. the construction is nice, obviously lighter and not as solid as the authenic asm fenders but still for the price, the construction is nice, fitment to so much.
