Thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes. Genie and Stephen are so wonderful together. Stefan's love for Laura is so heartbreaking, I couldn't of let him go! :(
He made a terrible mistake and he admitted to it. He was so afraid of losing Laura if Helena did something to Lucky that he didn't want her to have another breakdown until he could get Lucky out safely and bring him back to her unharmed. If Helena did kill Lucky,Laura would of gone over the edge for sure and Stefan would of most certainly of lost her for good,he was only trying to protect her. People do things to protect those they love,he didn't want Laura getting hurt by Helena again maybe permanently. He cared for Laura's children and he wanted to save Lucky. I would of forgiven him.
It was awful that TPTB did not utilize Stephen Nichols more appropriately with a better story line to keep him on the show. It broke my heart because I love him and the character.
I was just thinking how could anyone think Faison is just an ordinary guy when Laura told Tony he made her skin crawl. You got it Laura. Your psycho meter is going off!
I always thought it was such a cop out by the writers to have Laura and Stefan break up over him not telling her about Lucky right when he found out he was alive. Yes, he knew Laura was in deep mourning for the loss of her son, but he did have to make sure Helena was neutralized before attempting to retrieve Lucky from her, plus he wanted to see what kind of damage his mother and Faison might have done to Lucky while he was captured. Maybe he should have told her right away, but I definitely would've been more forgiving for him actually rescuing my son and trying to do so without causing him (or me) any further harm. I just feel like the writers got tired of the die-hard LnL crowd demanding that Luke and Laura be reunited so they just threw Stefan's character completely under the bus and turned him into some kind of lunatic Phantom of the Opera caricature of himself.
Like every other Cassadine so far, maybe they will have Stefan come back. It would be interesting to see the dynamics of a potential love triangle between Kevin (if he comes back)-Laura-Stefan. Stefan can come back when Laura would still be dealing with the emotional aftereffects when she founds out Ryan has been Kevin for months now.
I agree they totally threw Stefan under the bus and ruined the character. But I also think Laura breaking up with him (and taking so long to be ready for a relationship with him to begin with) was indicative of the idea that she was never really in love with him. As was shown in an earlier scene she described Stefan and being there during her lowest times (being on Cassadine Island and Lucky's death). A great description. He was there to support her when she needed him (someone) most. She cared about him, certainly. But I don't think she was ever truly in love with him. I think on some level she felt obligated to enter into a relationship because he cared so much for her and had done so much for her and Nikolas. Not telling her about Lucky was a convenient/easy out for her. Also, I think it was also shown that despite how much crap she had given Luke a pass for, she would never be able to extend even a little of the same courtesy to Stefan even when the things he did were directed at Helena, or to protect her or Nikolas. Laura's relationship with Stefan was completely written as a rebound relationship. It was never written to last. Ruining his character to end it was just a lazy way to keep from ruining Laura's and Luke's.
Topaine Reginald well she got Kevin now and like and Tracy was a joke and Laura and Kevin no chemistry but I deal with them better than Luke and Tracy.
Laura has Kevin now no Luke or Scotty just Kevin and they have chemistry it is just chemistry that aged just like the characters did it is a different kind of chemistry which is good
It would've been hilarious if GH let the audience hear Helena's thoughts while she was paralyzed.

She forgave Luke and Scotty for all their lies and their were many so she could forgive Stefan as well.

@@eddiecater1429 I don't think Luke is coming back. Plus the writers literally spent years breaking them apart.
Also, no way is going to happen as Stephen Nichols hated what they did to the charater and considers GH (at least at the end) a bad experience.

I agree. Lazy and ridiculous writing for unknown reasons.
Criminal that tptb didn't allow this couple to flourish. Luke got his Tracy but GF was in L&L prison.
