I bought most of my tools at pawn shops. So often it's a place of heartbreak and desperation. Sometimes folks just need a few dollars to get by. Pete and his staff treat their customers with dignity and respect, which makes the whole pawn shop experience less painful, even pleasant. I never thought I would watch videos from a pawn shop but Pete changed my mind.
At least he’s fair. Pawn shops in my area offer 20-30% of the value.. completely taking advantage of people.. made plenty of deals in the parking lots buying items for slightly more than they got offered inside..
Love the Coke machine. I may be wrong, but I think the coins go on through unless you have drinks inside to dispense. That way when all the drinks are gone, customers don’t lose their money. It’s a really cool find!
No the coinmech has nothing to do with the drinks working it will take your money whether there's drinks in it or not , there's also a way to adjust the size of the coin that can go through and it seems like that that is not set because he was dropping a quarter through It should have only taken a dime so it's telling me that the coinmech is probably needing some work
One of the best I’ve been watching Pete and his crew now for about 5 years or so always lol forward for new content he drops, one of the best like I said and a real business man who’s fair in what he does in my opinion some people say he low balls. He’s not like other UA-cam that go to goodwills and yard sales etc and sell on eBay and other platforms, he has a actual building and plenty of over head, bills, employees etc, so with all that o think his offers are fair and if people are unhappy they don’t have to sell it too him, but seems like majority still wind up doing because they don’t want to do the actual leg work to try and sell it. . Most these channels nowadays I guarantee more than have started because this gentleman Pete here, he has a lot of followers & support on his channel and when they have those big resale gatherings, there all always hoping Pete will show, definitely a original in the game for sure
I applaud you on the medal. When I first watched that video I recognised myself I don't have my granddad's medals because my uncles jealous girlfriend trough them in the Trent in Nottingham. Medals are priceless and should stay with the family 100%. Thank you sir.
Need to do "Direct Wire" Type B LED tube lights and then you can eliminate ballasts all together and use your old fixtures. Saves even more money removing the ballasts.
5:13 my very good friend's Grandad is Mr Wilkins of Bower and Wilkins AKA B&W speakers they started the company when they came home from the war they used to tinker with radios and other electronics during the war . when they came home from the war they started a company together selling speakers my friend has got all kinds of B&W prototype speakers like some of the first ever subwoofers made out of Kevlar. that is what they are known for having Kevlar weave cones in there speaker's

KRK are good, But with the fact that the tweeter cone is pushed in is gonna mess with how the actually high end is projecting and if you're mixing with these your mix is gonna sound off!.
Those were the entry level 5" not even Rokits. I have 8"s and they aren't even that great. Every recording studio you go into they will have Yamahas for sure.

I had boxes full of TYCO and other vintage HO scale electric trains given to me a few years back. All new and sealed still from the 60s if I remember correctly.

I've replaced the fluorescent tubes in my shop with modern LED tubes. They do NOT use a ballast/transformer; they connect directly to 110VAC. They just require removing the old ballast and rewiring to the LED's. They work great!
Same, I replaced all my tube lights for led flat suspended ceiling panels. Was a lot cheaper to buy each panel than to replace the 4 bulbs in each panel.

You can get LED tubes now that work without the ballast. Like a ballast bypass more or less. Type A Type B … even if you wanted to replace the ballast the brand isn’t important as long as the input/output voltage is the same.
Peter, when it comes to your shop lighting. They now make LED’s that have the drivers integrated into the bulbs. No need to replace external drivers, just swap the bulb.
Nice to see you fishing my area of Canada. The blue colour on some walleye is from naturally occurring copper sulphate in the waters. Some lakes its very noticeable, especially when ice fishing, the slime will be blue on the snow and ice. Spring is coming. Spool up more rods! Enjoy your content.

I am actually in China and maybe I can help find that brand or similar, but it may be so trouble to ship, etc, so as you say, maybe is more practical to find one with similar specs there to replace it. You dont have to replace with the exact same driver (ballast is for florescent). The early ones burn out quickly. The newer ones are much better and cheaper.
power surges kill of electronic ballast like that...put a surge suppresser in your main panel will likely help those last longer. Also check those ckts for loose neutrals and connections as that will overload them over time as well. remember you got your install for free, so think about it?
Peter that blade is a Mark II. The Mark I is a smaller dagger at 4.75 inch blade length and it is considered by some as a "boot knife." The first production made Gerber Mark IIs in the 1960s were straight daggers. The second and later models had the saw/serrations put in the middle of the blade on both side of the blade edge. There is no Gerber Mark III that I know of. Just a Mark I & II models from Gerber.
The best thing to do with them speakers is to gut the speakers out and the tweeters put an vacuum on the Them to suck the middle piece out and make your own speakers out of them because more time than not it’s the mechanics inside the speaker that doesn’t work as I am always finding speakers that people throw away that they think don’t work and they do the actual speaker more time than not will always work plus if you’re good at making stuff you can actually make the speakers better than I was before, especially if the speakers are worth something working
Regarding the lightning; LEDs do not need an ignition source, as they are not filled with a gas like the older strip lights. Definitely not a ballast you need, maybe a driver, but not a ballast if they are as you say, LEDs. Cheers
i think the guy selling lawn gear was referring to a pricing agreement some tool makers have with ebay which makes the market very uncompetitive because you cant undercut them so its either little guy, approved sellers or the company themselves and the company usually has the highest price which encourages people to buy from the approved sellers who buy in bulk like clock work, control the market and obey the company keeping the price high and crippling the used market

Oyr shop bought the 15:42 bulbs that have the ballast built into the bulb you just supply 110 to one end of the bulb

Some LED lights can be hardwired. You alleviate the controller check and see if the LED that you have is that style.

Those ballast can be interchangeable, just pay attention to voltage.
Not hard to find if you know what to look for.
