@@dannyboi6192you don’t get it don’t you? Bro really said finally a “tutorial” that explains the key to press, and you told bro to learn them before modeling. And isn’t finding a tutorial is learning? Literally, there’s not much tutorials with key explanation anyways.
Amazing and extremely well explained tutorial for a programmer that needs to learn to make prototype art for his game. I actually have faith I can make weapon prototypes now, something an hour ago I thought was impossible. Subbed.
Dude, Kade, thank you so much man! I just got into 3D a couple days ago. I've more or less finished the donut tutorial, and I'm a big fantasy nerd so found your tutorial and made my sword whilst listening to the Zelda ost >;p Really happy with how it turned out. Was definitely a challenge but I learnt a lot!
When I attempt to extrude the plane of the blade outline into the 3rd dimension, it does not fill in the sides of the blade, they must be done manually like the front face. Then, when an attempt to make a loop cut down the center is made, it does not run the loop cut all the way down the blade.
I was able to fix this, if anyone else also has this dilemma, make sure you very carefully and exactly follow the instruction at 3:35 when connecting the bottom of your blade together. edit: 3:35 not 3:55
guys what do I do? when im clicking I button and trying to put another dot(or whatever is it) it simply just disappears. buttons I'm pressing: 1. I 2. (after scaling) enter
I can't scale the sword after finding the middle of the extrude, it clips through the tip on the curved part of the top, it just won't spread out to the sides but instead go either up or down with the lower or top segment of the sword.
did you fix this? i gave up already man, whenever i try to scale object with S, it won't scale to sides like dude did, instead it will stretch and rotate as well. i was 10h and stil can't fix this
@@exim522you need to select the part you want to scale in edit mode (press tab), then press 1,2, or 3. depending on what you wanna edit (1 = vertices, 2 = edges, 3 = faces).
Lol just my luck picking an image that is super complex like dammm dude this gonna look sickkkk. but then it is like 20x more complex than his handle then he said this is kinda compex so fudge
you might've mirrored it on the wrong axis or mirrored it on two axes at once. i was having this issue too until i realized i was mirroring the vertexes on both the x axis and the y axis if that's not the issue then it might be that the edges/verts aren't connected as @TrIIden said
Finally a tutorial that explains and shows what keys to press
If you don't know what keys to press, i suggest learning them before starting models.

this guy deserves at LEAST 200k subscribers for how good his tutorials are omg
Thanks Kade, this was a lot of use for my game. I'll be sure to credit you :)
thanks for making this amazing tutorial! before watching this tutorial i just installed blender and now i made a good sword!
this tutorial is just too good. Wish there was a "share what sword you made along side the tut" section aha
Nice and well done video, but can you do a tutorial where you do a sword without using this method but using parts instead? (like from scratch)
U can use the same method, but instead of doing the same thing as a reference image do it by yourself
i was trying to figure the clipping thing out for a while i brushed it off and you just randomly answered my question lol
Thanks for the keybind showing thing at the bottom right. all the other videos are so brain dead. they do everything without even explaining how
whenever i extrude why does it not align with the old vertices? its either slanted forward or backward.. pls help me

@@lyteshadowz Thank you so much!
THANK YOU I was stressing trynna figure out what I did wrong
nvm..
Thanks So Much Bro
when i click S and Y it only makes the sword grow larger from the Y axis

Hey could you make a sword without a reference like from scratch
I think that would be a cool vid idea
There's videos for that?, he's mainly doing it from reference images
W vid truley deserves more sub
Can you teach us how to make a helment chest plate shield some differently please or like a different gun.
U can look those up..or use the same thing he did (reference images) they're really helpful
How can i extrude certain parts of the blade to make it sharp because it extrudes in the wrong places where i want them to be
why does this show that the segment cant be made and shows some error when i press f to make it?
How to I paint it in Blender? It's just painted instantly when I try to paint it somewhere
I know I'm late but could anyone help? Why is the middle part for S to make it smoother only going up to a certain point???
same
can you do one with effects

Did u scale on the z axis, or y i can't rmb which one

why arent you just using the mirror modifier for the handles?
U ARE AMAZING!!!

You was doing so good until u started mirroring it then u stopped telling us how to do something u just said do it like we know what exactly to press
my loopcut doesnt run all the way down
Did you find a reason for this???
@@VstarCre8tive i dint know specifically but i think it has somethign to do with the model not being symmetrical idrk tho
@@VstarCre8tive i had to remodel mine and even then i had to do the most lol
It's because of the edges and verts aren't connected
you might've mirrored it on the wrong axis or mirrored it on two axes at once.

can you make tutorials too for coloring that sword step by step?
Its simple
@@ItsBeta not simple for a beginner :(
@@jasminneo3144 I can help I been doing this for ah month and made 10 models
8 looks bad 2 look good
how do you do the widescale on y axis they all go their own direction
press Y
When I import it into Roblox some of the faces are not there
check for backface culling
Click double sided
Check normals your whole model should be blue, if u see red those faces need normals flipped
In blender, select your model, enable *Edit Mode* and press *Shift + N.*
Pls make video how to make trining dummy plzzzzzzz
some of my stuff is inverted how do i fix
im not able to move it in the x axis
where is wide acess
good
Ctrl R did not work
When I am extruding it to make it bigger some parts of sword dont seem filled even when I filled them
same lol
How would I texture this
well actually its 14:45 minutes geez
hi
can some let me know why you have to "merge" the vertices at the centre
Its probably so the origin(point of movement or rotation) is at the middle instead of being offset
Click what then e I’m so confused
the E thing doesnt work for me
me too
you have to be in edit mode
how to turn around loll?
more tutorials! pleasee
yeah
I lost all my work
That's Iliegal
He's not making money from selling it so it isn't, and plus reference imaging exist for a reason..
