Hey! Keep in mind I'm speaking without a script here, so there are a few things I had to correct myself on after the fact with the captions (as I usually do even when using a script). One thing that kind of bothers me every time I watch this, though, and that I didn't correct with a caption, is when I talk about "96 bit or even 48 bit" music files. I don't know why I keep bringing that up; the highest bit depth in any file I have is 24 bit, and I don't know who, if anybody, has actually released files at bit depths higher than that. "HiRes" music is "at least" 24 bit, but I just don't think anything higher than that really exists right now. I may have been thinking of the future, or maybe I just misspoke. Anyway it's a small enough error that I'm just gonna leave it and pin this comment.
Yeah. I think sometimes people miss the point of how good is "good enough" from a format that is long dead, but MD still sounds just as good as it did when it was current. It surpassed tape by miles, and like you, I love the portability/reuseability (if that's even a word?). Still got my original separate MD, and recently bought a portable recorder with NetMD. So easy to just drag and drop music onto it with electronwmd. Also, I agree that some of us have hobbies that we like to sink money into. I've got G.A.S. for all sorts of cameras. But I know I'm not a pro level photographer. I just enjoy the experience.
I love these chatbox videos. :D I just had a record I enjoy signed and was curious about your framing that you show here! Can you elaborate on what you used to frame? I've learned that with the signatures, I need to be careful to keep the jacket off of the glass/acrylic, and it seems like yours has a nice air gap versus the cheap stuff you can get off the shelf at Michaels. Thanks!
That's just the box it came in, I didn't frame it myself. But I'm sure that a good framing place could give you a shadowbox solution that would keep the record away from the glass. It might be expensive but if I had a record that was really important to me, I'd pay it.

Very, very good discussion. Thank you.
