BEFORE I watch this... I like to, when I come across either an artist I know and like, or an artist completely new to me, but singing a song I know and like, look up various reacters I follow on UA-cam to see what they think. So, I'm skimming through and then I see the thumbnail of this for y'all's channel. And I'm like, oh HELL yes, I wanna see their reaction!! ************************ That smile and that head tilt to the side, and then rocking back and forth to the music, is exactly what I did when I first saw this. I'm a boomer and I know it's not just her singing talent. But this is like being wrapped in a warm blanket of music. My impression of it is EXACTLY like your description at the end. Joseph, thank you for requesting this. I was a big Carpenter's fan back in the day as I was a child of the '70s as you likely were. Tazzz, I agree that the song gives you a floating relaxed feeling not only because of the melody but because of Tori's voice. I have heard countless young women try to emulate Karen Carpenter and although some have a bit of her sound, the reality is they are trying too hard and it shows. Nobody has been able to replicate her sound. Until now! Tori for me is like Karen Carpenter reincarnated. It is unfathomable what she has done with the arrangement of the song and with her vocals. The reason that succeeds is that she is not trying to sound like Karen. It is her natural voice and when she does other covers of other artists, it still sounds like Karen singing. Thanks Tazzz for your interpretation as music is so subjective and we all experience it differently. I would highly suggest if you get the chance to listen to her original of this particular song and you will realize just how good Tori is. Peace out.

The credits do show what everyone was playing or doing. Tori’s voice was just so so so magical on this. Jim doing the Richard part was also right on point. This just came out. It dropped on 3/2/24 Karen’s birthday in heaven, in her honor. You are also the first to react/review this video so, points for that! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I have another Tori song, her new single and original song. That’s coming next. This one though is on the move. Since Saturday on “I” the short that’s promoting this has 3/4 million views. @@tazzznphillyon closer inspection I see it’s a combo instrument. It’s D shaped. The straight part is a handle and shaker like a maraca, the curved part is tambourine. I hear the shaker and he’s the only one doing the right move so, both. Or I think listed as percussion. I’ve seen other videos like this but I don’t think any that do the harmonies as individual boxes. If you pay close attention to it. Each harmony window is different than the others. Also I later caught 3 #Eastereggs. In Tori’s big window. A drum kit, her next instrument but also a salute to Karen. A Tascam 24 Track and way in the back Richard is looking over her shoulder. This video looks amazing on a big TV with a good sound system/bar. That’s my preferred viewing on my AppleTV on my TV. Tazzz if you have 3 minutes. Tori and Jim, and everyone are so talented. I sent this to a professional musician friend of mine. I know it seems like a small reaction as he is reserved. But he commented back to me 'wow, so clean'. Musicians would know, he meant musical crispness. This is a huge compliment from him. He plays every instrument in this video, and so do I except for the clarinet. I can't make reeds humm that well
