Hello Dr.Samara, I am about to defend my master's pre-project in PINN here in Brazil, and I would like to thank you for the teachings and knowledge shared in the course, which were very important and the basis for my studies. I will finish my master's thesis using the DEEPXDE library, as presented in your base course, I would like to know if it is worth transitioning to NVIDIA Modulus in the future. Another question, do you have any tips for when the PINN's PDE shows discontinuity? as conditionals like: Y:x>0 or X

I know you, and I am very happy to see that you finished successfully your masters program, with such challenging topic to get your masters.
For the discontinuity problems, in general PINNs behavior can be changed by adding wights to the values of loss you have for example if you see the issue in discontinuity came as a result of the conversation part of the N.S equation you might damb the solution a bit during the early part of the optimization and later change the weight to get a smoother conversation to the solution this is a strong way to control the PINNs behavior but you can do other things such as the data points count increase near the problem area or you can also keep updating the B.C and I.C data count increase to force the conversionce into the direction of solving the problem and avoiding any possible issue.
Good luck and hope you the best, I think if you want to continue PhD it will be a good idea to get things progressing in PINNs and research more and know more about these hidden behaviors and applications.

Yes, I am going to pursue my PhD with PINN and other related machine learning techniques applied in the context of physics and engineering fluid mechanics and rheology! We are creating a small research group and contacting other universities to develop this research area here in southern Brazil!
