I know that this video was about Jace and Alec but this video clearly showed how SELFLESS magnus was. Magnus was the best character of SHADOW HUNTERS. He was such a pure soul. He was the main reason for the show's comedy. I just love his character. Magnus is my most favourite character. I just love MAGNUS. He was truly the best character. He truly loved Alec. He always put Alec above him. We all knew how much his powers meant to him but still he gave up his powers to save Jace bcoz he knew how much Jace meant to Alec. He put his own life at stake several time to help Alec and his friends. Magnus was the SOUL of this show. I would've never loved this show as much as I do if there was no magnus in this show. He was the BEST.

As someone who discovered this show like, 2 days ago, and this pairing in specific literally yesterday, what I'm getting is that Alec's feelings are always invalidated at every turn, and he's always getting told how he's actually feeling. Got it. Nice video though! If Mrs. Author did not want these two shipped, maybe she shouldn't have involved a literal soulbond between them. Edit to add: maybe they should've cast people who didn't have as much chemistry as well. Like. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is not a freaking goose.

Alec loves Magnus and Jace, but it is not the same type of love. Alec cares about Magnus as much as he does for Jace if not a little bit more. If you remember in season 3 episode 21, Alec asked Simon to turn him into a vampire, so he can be with Magnus in Edom. Turning into a vampire will break the parabatai bond with Jace or make it very weak. In that same episode, he told Magnus that he will stay with him in Edom after their battle with Lilith meaning he will never see Jace again. Jalec doesn't make sense because Jace is straight (it is canon) and Alec got over his romantic feelings (if you don't want to think the book is canon to the show's timeline, then let's say Alec did have romantic feelings, but got over it) for Jace. Jace and Alec love for each other is very powerful, but it is entirely brotherly and platonic. Feel free to ship them in fanfic world though! My apologies, if this comment is too long, I tend to do that. But I hope you can see why Jalec doesn't make sense to be canon unless their characters and the show is going to be entirely rewritten.
You all don't understand alec... He is very sensitive and attached to his family bonds... All his actions are comming from his sense of duty. Don't mix family love with his soulmate magnus. Alex love magnus more than anything.
