Beautiful coop! It's a 'Catch 22'....has to be heavy enough to stand up to predators but light enough to move! You did a very nice job building it & repairing it!
Hi. Todd. The chicken coop looks great. I a. So glad the chickens and turkeys will have fun moving around the coop. God Bless you, and stay safe. Maria.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Hi Todd, thanks for the video. I will go back to see the other video(s) on the coup. I like your design and will need to see if it can fit on my area designated for livestock tractors. Say, my flashlight order was delivered yesterday. Looking forward to reviewing them. Blessings to you and thanks for your channel content...
I’m not sure if you have predators or not....I live in a forested area and we have many, many predators that can’t wait for a chicken dinner. We had chicken tractors built, for our meat birds, and we made sure that there was no way for any critter to make their way into our tractor (coop). Our tractor is flat to the ground and has 1/4 inch welded wire on a frame made of hollow metal tubing. We have not lost a single bird to a predator in the 6 years we’ve used it.
@@1870s I was wondering a similar thing. Doesn't that space under the edge of the coop caused by the wheel lifting it up give predators an easy way into the coop? Edited to add: I went and watched the original build videos and now I understand. You only put the wheels on to move it, and then you take them off so it sits flush to the ground. Nice coop!
Curious about the gap between the coup and the ground. What keeps snakes and smaller predators out of it and your baby chicks from escaping? Or do you take the wheels off after moving it. Definitely a very nice mobile chicken coup.
They will stay in the coop section, until they are larger. We also use a block of wood to level it out, when it's in final resting spot. most predator we have are at night, when birds are locked in the top part.
Hmmm. Can’t predator come under that gap made by the wheels. Check out the Chick Lift. It’s a lever that move lifts the coop up on wheels when needed and lowers it back down. I guess the are secure at night so probably this is ok though.
Please always brace when you use a tractor to hold something up! I’ve seen too many people hurt because they trusted their tractor hydraulics to hold it up and then it suddenly lost pressure and drifted down.
Fatal Flaw ? probably your design. Way too high off the ground, check out Joel Salatin (sp?), he uses a dolly where he elevates the back. then he lifts the front and pulls.
My heart jumped when i saw you lying under the coop. My dear friend lost her husband to an accident such as that when the implement sifted.
Beautiful coop!

So glad you were able to figure out what to do then repair your nice Chicken Coop Todd. This design is the sharpest I've seen so far.
Bravo, Todd!!🏆 You make everything look so easy-peasy!🌟❤

You should watch living traditions homesteads channel. They have chicken coops that are pretty nice and light weight. Good luck.
Love that channel too.
I re really respect your honesty. Looks like you'll have it right in no time. Thanks for the video.
Great job figuring out a solution.. I was going to suggest steel plates too but it seems that this just might work

Well you have one off the best looking chicken trailers I've seen.
It was built nice and clean, wasn’t it?
we just bought that same tractor last month.... now I wonder why we waited so long. I'm totally in love with it.
Good choice! I love ours too!
thank you for the update! watching your channel is a joy!
Thanks for watching!
Good job Todd.
Nice fix mate, i really have to get a little chicken house put together one of these days
The back is too high off the ground. Won't they get out?

Todd, Simple Living Alaska channel, he put the wheel all the way at the back end and it's much larger seemed to work very well.
I love the short "clip" shots.. LOL
Great job, Todd
Thanks! ♥
What a great idea
Well done !!

@@1870s Thank you for responding. Have a blessed evening.
How do you keep predators out with the wheels lifting it up? Otherwise, great solution!
Put some skids on the front of that thing so you can pull it without it breaking.
Wish I had chickens. 🙏🏻
Concerned about the rise in the back..chickens out...predators in..
It's ok, they are up in the coop at night when predators are out.
ASMR Warning 👌 | 2:10 - 2:30
I hope it wasn't too loud 😃
@@1870s Not at all, just sounded cool :)

Good morning in Thialand😊🍎🍍🍋🍊🍅🥒🥕
Good morning ปลัด โย ♥
Do you worry about something, like a weasel, getting under that large gap in the rear of the tractor, behind the wheels?
Angle iron
Put a strip of chicken wire around the gap the keep the chicks from escaping

You should check out www.chicklifts.com great wheels for moving chicken tractors. Jason from Sow The Land uses them.
Are you concerned about it being too high in the back at the bottom? They may escape.

When predators are out at night, they go up into the coop which is totally protected. It worked great for us all last summer.
