It's actually really refreshing to hear I'm not the only one that's tired and fresh out of patience and dealing with so much student drama, fussing arguing, playing ans zoned out during the lesson has me on the edge. Literally praying to God for patience and help in these final days. Thankful I'm not alone. Thanks for sharing! Phew!!
Thank you!! I am literally the same about birthdays! 🥳 I always want to be more ahead of the game with that!! You inspired to do the goodies over the summer!!👏🏻🥳😊
The Take Your Child to Work Day is national… always the 4th Thursday of April. My district (I’m in Florida also) changed it to Friday the 26th though. I only had one student absent 🤷♀️
I remember being surprised that none of my Virginia (right outside of DC) kids were absent that day. My parent population tends to participate in things like that, but surprisingly none of them did this year.
We are doing Lemonade War and economics this week as well! Thank you for your real moments that you share-you are such a positive person but I love moments when you’re real with us too!
Hi Katie, I feel like its a whole week in each day at the moment, urgh!!! 😁 road rating sounds cool. I love driving, but I love when we just do a road trip with my husband driving. Have a lovely restful weekend. Blessings Susie 🙏🇬🇧
I absolutely love group jams! We have our state standards but not the curriculum (textbook). That’s cool! We’re adopting new books for next year. Maybe we can get that. I’m going to share with our Math coordinator. Ooh thanks for sharing your screen!
Hi Katie, When is your last day of school with students for this school year? P.S. Thank you for showing Your Birthday things that you make for your students. - Dwight
We use IXL as part of their morning work. They have to work to the score of 100. I teach 3rd but we assign 2nd grade to the special Ed kids who have mods for reading because it reads it to them.
Do you have to write plans and do slides? I’m sure you have stated this before. It’s just locally, some districts are counting slides as their plans. So I’m curious about your school’s requirements.
My admin does not require us to submit plans or slides... I make a weekly outline to keep myself on track or for if they walk through and are curios but we do not have to submit them
@@mrs_katie_in_elementary that’s so amazing! Congratulations! I have been teaching for 26.5 years and have always been required to turn in lesson plans that require hours upon hours of writing per subject.

We finish at the end of May! So close!

Hey! thanks for the vlogs ;)
We use IXL in our district and we like it.
Do you use it for both math and ELA? 😊
When will you tell us about your position next year?
Soon!!

I'd love to know more about the Taylor Swift day I saw on Insta.
I am working on editing a vlog from this week with more details! It will be up next Saturday!
