      Absolutely, but people overrate getting mechanics. Basic mechanics can get you to Diamond if you're good in other places (SSL for a few people too)

      Not necessarily cause you have to learn those mechanics and that takes a ton of time

    • @symblitz699
      @symblitz699 Рік тому +2

      learning to air dribble despite the mechanic itself not being overly useful lower down it severely helps with air control which follows over to aerials and saves. Otherwise generally just learn car control and flicks

    • @MyyssticalRL
      @MyyssticalRL Рік тому +3

      @@big_yeeter2097 then again as you learn these mechs u can also practice other aspects of the game. Furthermore things like half flips might take a few minutes to do properly and a few days or weeks to master.

      He was just talking about the Fastest way. Not the best... You get up there quick... But then starting with poor mechs so get stuck.
      Mechs = slower ranking up... But constant ranking up and your always able to improve on those mechs...
      Game sense can only get you sofatlr before mechs are needed (to get into positions better or for recovering)
      Just train both brain and skill

    alot of people say rotation is more important, and i agree, but if it comes to not hitting the ball in the air or not being able to half flip IN GC, mechanics or more like the fundamentals are more important, gamesense comes as you play

      @MyyssticalRL Рік тому

      @@Meechy44 but most likely you can agree with this. If someone doesn't know how to aerial properly in gc, yes they might go a whole game without doing one but it would definitely be helpful to understand how to. You don't need to know but knowing how to would help alot.

    • @superharsh6786
      @superharsh6786 Рік тому

      @@Meechy44 Right, but you can probably shoot with power and placement from most positions and you probably utilize some combination of movement mechanics to keep pace. That is mechanics and that doesn't come efficiently from simply playing the game. Your 1000IQ gamesense doesn't matter if you're just going to choke when it's time to capitalize.

    • @7dayspking

      Flakes showed that power shots aren't required to reach SSL even. You need the car control to confidently move across the field and follow the ball and make accurate, intentional touches on the ball. Power shots aren't needed if you avoid mistakes, counter mistakes and outplay your opponents.

    When it comes to party up or solo queue, for me, i mainly solo queue simply bc nearly all my friends who play rl are leagues above me in overall skill level. I keep hitting d1 but loose it quickly bc of this. Another part is that my ability to being 'good' is not consistent at all. A point starting with "always" is probably a myth.
    More specifics are needed when explaining mechanics. To get to GC, you don't need to know how to dribble, but you do need to know where to be, how to pass and how to shoot pretty well. Those involve a lot of mechanical movement and practice.

But, i know my rotations well, know when Not to double/triple commit, i look at the game and my teammates, and what they are doing and play Way more patiently because of it. 1s is not about mechanics until the very high levels. It can be if you want it to be, but 1s is mostly about making good challenges and being able to shoot on target. And that's the difference between pretty much every rank until around GC2.

And it sums up my main criticism of Luke, it's information that needs to be ore than 60s long, but he's made a short of it regardless, spreading misinfo through lack of context just to meet his short video quota, or maybe it's deliberate so confused newbies will sign up for the course in order to get clarification.

      Depends on what you mean by mechs. If you're talking about shooting, basic aerials and recoveries and stuff you're correct. If you're talking about air dribble flip reset, there are plenty of GC1s who can't do all that. They start to get filtered out in GC2 though
