Surprised Peter attacked directly with Kenrith and not at the Tezzeret. Leaving Tezzeret on board vs 5 damage seems off to me. I’m curious if it was a genuine oversight or something I didn’t catch… maybe a conversation or maybe he thought he’d block with manglehorn if he did go after Tezzeret and Peter wasn’t in the position to be affected by manglehorn at the time so he let it stay to stop the other 2 and chip in 5 damage… those little things matter greatly. Anyway, it’s easy to suggest in hindsight without audio, the correct play is to Remove the big mana value engines from a big mana value deck whose life total doesn’t matter until they’re at 0. Also, the deflecting swat Kenrith ability into reanimate Fury not being thrown at the Thrasios… when he has a known Tezzeret or hullbreaker horror in hand… It’s tough. In conclusion I don’t think Kinnan gets enough hate (respectfully) as it deserves. Yes the drannith shuts off the deck but if games go later than turn 4-5 and especially if it still has key pieces in play, it still gets there. Lastly, I know Slicer is a booger and meme of a deck for CEDH and you can’t expect it to hang in this kind of pod (bigger creature based pods) but turn order matters greatly. If slicer went first or second this game would be on its head. (Also Kinnan would probably lead with the remora over the sol ring.) vastly different game imo.
Hey there, sorry for my beginner question but i do not understand why Mike can play Wooded Foothills. I think u can only play cards with the color identity if your commander ?! Lands doesnt count ? Thanks :)
That's why Slicer is just not relevant anymore. It's a one trick pony and once Slicer got removed and Drannith came back onto the board, Matt was irrelevant the rest of the game. Slicer had its time in the sun. Just let it go.
Idk bout that. What we are pointing to here is the gimmick factor that caught everyone by surprise. Now that it’s being dealt with the deck looks meh is all. I think this means it’s the perfect time for people to start innovating on the deck and the 99. If everyone expects one route of gameplay and roll their eyes when they see slicer, it will hit them like a truck if you bust out some extremely unexpected tech yeah?
Yeah unexpected tech in mono red voltron... deck was always bad, just kingmakes. Decks that specialize in taking out one player at a time are bad in cedh.@@nathanstruble8587
I feel like needing to decide multiple pieces of interaction to your opponents in order to keep them from playing the game is the name on the game in this normal
It's fine Very easy to remove and deal with. And to make to him good means the whole deck is built around him so if he is removed the whole deck falls apart
This was a wonderful 1-v-1 commander game between Peter and Mike. Matt playing a gimmick deck with Slicer and Emma just not even showing up makes this game an anomaly. I absolutely enjoy the videos y'all put out. It just seems like some people aren't meant to play cEDH games.
The only reason I’m watching this is because it’s PwP. Normally, I see Slicer and I keep scrolling. He’s annoying to play against and even more annoying to watch (how many times can you say Slicer in a turn rotation?). I’d rather watch someone new to Magic pilot a Krark/Sakashima list.
I love the careful and strategic back and forth that this game was juxtaposed with the end of the game being "I turn my pile of creatures sideways" 😄
As Richard Garfield intended
@9:16 Damn, that Kenrith play to bring back Phantasmal Image was SICK.

Slicer! Love it. Thanx for another great upload
man i love seeing so many cool decks. Also love that they all arent just thassa oracle decks
No Fury on Thrasios at the end? That could have saved the game potentially...

Fetchlands dont have the mana pip on the card and only has text, so it doesnt have a color identity
@@WorldofSoupS thank you
Looking forward to a Kenrith Gameplay Video!
It's coming!
Peter is playing with a serialized Ragavan???
Peter got that bling for sure.
Fellow Kinnan player here. How was he able to untap Treasure Vault? It comes into play tapped due to Thrasios' ability
It was his 3rd land.
Where I can find this "bottoms" Emma uses for treasures tokens? It's sooo pretty and fancy
luxury playstyle, check out the end of the video for the 'card of the game' sponsor
And if you extra cards lying around check out Card Conduit
Idk what the "Real life at home" challenge was, but I really hope I never have to do something that difficult...
That gamble should have been for seedborn muse. It’s almost always the proper tutor target if you’re not trying to immediately win
For kenrith?
almost like u gotta interact with the kinnan deck at some point or its just gonna win...

Doesn’t that fall on his lack of interaction with Drannith rather than being Slicer’s fault? It was wrecking havoc early on.
He did get rid of phantasmal image a couple times, and had some good interaction

He casts....
*GUTURAL SCREAM READY*
*VOID WINOWEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR*
well emma could basically chose who should win the game.
when CEDH with silver-border cards???
Came for cEDH gameplay, stayed for the memes
No krrik Peter? My day is ruined.
Should of copied Slicer at 4:24 and sac the original to legend rule
Slicer is so broken it's crazy to me that WotC does nothing about this.
Why? It's not played often and hardly ever wins.
It's fine
Very easy to remove and deal with.
And to make to him good means the whole deck is built around him so if he is removed the whole deck falls apart
Great win by Mike!
Kinnan the grind lord
Idk maybe send some of the removal towards drannith?
I'm bored of watching gameplay on this channel that is less than common sense
oh you im known by (shoutout folger) oh you im known by (shoutout folger)
nice game
11:04 . I don't know how or why everyone gets this pronounciation wrong in the MTG community but it's pronounced "furry" not "fury".
i can't tell if you're serious or not

Can we stop pretending slicer is an actual CEDH deck.
Honestly. All it does is put a clock on the game, but the moment drannith or anything similar comes down, it does nothing.
Hey, it's pretty damn fast
Yes, slicer is cool, but only in highpower, not in cedh
People need to stop trying to make slicer work. It's not a real cedh deck.
Respectfully---screw slicer.

God i love Kinnan!
