Igor Thiago: Brentford sign Brazilian forward from Club Brugge on a five-year contract

Brentford have signed Brazilian striker Igor Thiago.
The Brazilian joins the Bees from Club Brugge having agreed a five-year deal to move to west London from next season.
“I’m very pleased that we have been proactive as a club; big credit to Matthew Benham, Phil Giles and Lee Dykes for the hard work they have done," said Brentford boss Thomas Frank. "We are ahead of the curve.
“We have signed a key player for a key position. Thiago is a very exciting striker who fits the role in our team. He is hard working and a very good pressing player. He is also a physical presence, very good in the box and can link the play.
“He’s progressing well in the Belgian league, so there is big potential and we are looking forward to seeing him in a red and white shirt.”

They signed Raya’s replacement (Flekken) before selling him, and have now signed Toney’s replacement before he leaves in the summer.
Brentford (and Brighton) are such a well run club.
Let's hope Igor thiago isn't as bad a replacement as flekken has been or brentford are relegated

Went months without scoring for Club Brugge. Has scored 2 goals against top 6 clubs IN BELGIUM so far while playing for the club that creates the highest amout of chances in the league. I'm not talking out of my ass here, would be very surprized if Thiago will be "banging goals for fun" next year. Good luck to you.

In addition; just checked his market value at Transfermarkt. Currently at 6 million euros, less than one year ago 1 million euros. He is 22, not 17... Scored alot in the last few weeks, but again, in a top team that finally is finding its groove. Nothing justifies a 37 million price tag.
