That looks great! Just what the Grizzly needed. I can't stand that chopper look either. That is the only thing preventing me from buying a Grizzly. I like the look of the Super 73 but it's way under powered and has only one speed. Living in a hilly city and liking riding off road, those are huge no-no's. And yes, I've ridden a Super.
I was thinking on getting this bike but now thanks to you there's no more thinking I'm definitely getting it and I'm going to try and do the mods you did thank you. PS. Love your channel.

That came out nice. I might do something similar except I like the brace bar on the handle bars like dirt bikes have. There are clamp on brace bars on Amazon for dirt cheap. I can't wait to try it out.

The stock Grizzly handlebars are 31.8 mm according to their website specs. The new handlebars are also 31.8. So I don’t understand why you changed the stem. Why not use the existing stem? Is this just for Looks? Or is there a mechanical reason?
The X-Class handlebar setup seems ideal. The stem height seems adjustable. Would an adjustable stem work with the Grizzly?
Can you please have your buddy Splices or someone about 6 feet tall ride the bike and try it on for size? It looks great with you on it but I’m sure people would want to see someone else on it for comparison?

The stem i used was longer than the grizzly and I wanted a white stem. If you’re over 6ft, it’s not going to be comfy. I’d get a taller stem if you like the look of the bars. One that extends upwards at an angle.
I’d stay away from adjustable stems. Too many moving areas and i’ve heard of people having issues with the bars moving around at those pivot points

The "right" adjustable stem is the Bomb - I use Ritchey - have a 90mm and 120mm - Ritchey's never loosen up - Torque to recommended Spec
I prefer the tall bars, but I like the idea of removing the derailer. The mod I really need is massively shorter crank arms, say 95mm or 80mm even since the pedals are just for show and my knees are shot anyways... Just can't find them with the same bolt pattern

Very cool good thinking, simple changes making a big impact. I have had my bike for almost 5 years Its a retro bike from china. No shocks so it is radical to ride. So much fun. I going to paint it soon. ;- ) Have Fun Be Safe
excellent content, no more red anything, not a deal killer for the cafe style bars.
Just the red CLASH is an irritant.
Stock seat, makes my bike feel incomplete and dang it hurts the rear side. anyway get rid of the WTF bars ad and add new seat first mods. Cant believe Supper 73 is even in the same sentence.

my super 73 rx is not a super 73 lol mine is 72v gos 60kmph for 70 km and is duo motor 2000w to a total of 4000 w and climb most hills no problems
Nice work on the handle bars. Ape hanger bars are cool. But cafe racer bars are more comfortable. So driiving the bike all day on the saddle . And holding on to the handle bars and steering the bike, is all about comfort. And that`s the main thing.

I’ve been wanting one of these so bad, but I’ve seen a lot of riders having issues with theirs. Lots of tinkering to make things work, faulty parts out of the box, long wait times after purchases the bikes, I dunno. I’m apprehensive and too frugal to crap away 3K.

Thinking of getting one of these cafe racers. What is the risk in getting these impounded by police even if you keep within the class 3 rules? Cousin said he had a few friends that got theirs impounded in SF and Marin.
I think Cali is pretty strict compared to other states on everything.

damn that looks fantastic. Did you really only have to switch the brake lines by unscrewing them and switching them? You didn't have to bleed the brakes or anything? That's the first thing I planned to change on my Grizzly was the brakes because I want the rear brake on my left hand.
Yeah, i haven’t bled them. The brake lines work like straws. As long as one side is plugged, it will typically hold the fluid in on either end (master and line side)

I went with 60mm, the deity 760’s are about 3” rise and the light is stock

I like the look and agree they are lacking in style stock. Super 73 is a more compelling platform to me just because it’s a better looking design. Ariel is quality tool, it’s not junk I’m just not a fan of the design. My S2 can do 46 pretty regularly, it just doesn’t have the torque of the AR. The Super 73 also pedals better imo some people use that lol
I am currently putting BMX handle bars on my Grizzly but I'm have trouble take off the old stem. The screw on top of the old stem is not coming off am I missing something? Thanks
the inside is probably spinning. try an impact if you have one.
