Saw this show in Seattle, 3x before it went to broadway. LOVED it! Carolee C's performances were miraculous! Loved ED Watts too!
Carolee was phenomenal. Songs and choreography killed it.
I know the reviews were terrible, but I legitimately enjoyed this show. It was one of four shows I saw in NYC, and it is miles ahead of Evita and Annie. I'm sorry it is closing before it can change it's problems. The subject matter is great, and the performances are wonderful.
I was planning to see this show in NYC Christmas 2012 but the show had closed! There was still a billboard (a large one) in Times Sq many weeks after closing!
I agree with you there . The show needs improvements , like MAJOR improvements , without Carolee it wouldn't have last .
Honestly, from this I wanna see the show..
Carolee potrayed a very strong woman, who's story was very scandalous for her time, as she was a woman preacher, and founder of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Please don't judge the show in such a negative tone, as it had to be a horribly hard character, as the character was between 17-her 50s, and Carolee potrayed the whole thing. Please don't disrepect the show

I doubt it has been published, but try the sheet music department of any reputable retail music store and ask for the Vocal Selections Book.

The numbers seem a tich long... IMHO
Saw this in previews. AWFUL show. The set was hideous, the songs weren't memorable and dragged on, the choreography was uninteresting, and the story was lacking. Even the sound design was noticeably off.
Honestly, every 5-10 minutes I thought, "Wow, I could be at Book of Mormon right now instead."
But Carolee Carmello was fantastic in every way. It's sad that she couldn't have had the lead in a better show...
Talked to her at the stage door for a few minutes as well, she's such a sweet person.
wow... the set looks like Superman's Fortress of Solitude. I don't know why they would design scenery that can't be moved from the stage. Carolee Carmello looks like she was incredible in this, but she could seriously sing anything... the songs sound like they were awful though.
Not a Sound of Music or My Fair Lady for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
+LadyT You can't beat those good ole musicals. it's not a patch on guys and dolls either!
