@@ksw501 Somehow I remember that Music . I don't think it's because I'm a Musician . It's a very catchy , but odd piece of Music . I hope you're doing well . 🎸
On The Courtship of Eddie's Father. Bill played Tom Corbett, who was a widower and a TV dad. Brandon Cruz has a son who he named Bixby in memory of Bill Bixby.
You are so right, Bill deserves the Walk of Fame Star. In 2002 before taping a show for FOX, we were admiring the stars of Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, John Wayne...and then Arsenio Hall. WOW. Seriously? My mother had her picture taken with Bill at Lou Ferrigno's first wedding. That only lasted one year. Susan was from our hometown in NJ.
You're the same age as Bill Bixby was when he died! Time flies! p.s. Read my comment above, about seeing Bill Bixby in person, when he played "The Incredible Hulk"! p.s. 1970 shows were better, then!
I loved that show as well..one of my favourite episodes is when mariette hartley has a brain cancer or disease, and dr banner is intrigued by her nighttime disease destroying words of attack ,training her body to kill this inner demon..and of course he loved her, and that idea cuz of his secret very angry and distructive powerful inner being!!( p.s oooh the look when those eyes started to light up kinda green ..didn't they?? or was that my false memory?? lol so cool ..excitement!!
Such great memories, I didn’t remember him in Rich Man, Poor Man. I wonder why this mini series is not shown now. Bill definitely deserves a star on the hollywood walk of fame
This video made me feel a little teary. Great that Brandon Cruz is trying hard, to get Bill his Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Bill Bixby was a memorable actor !
In August 1977, my family & I were at Universal Studio, Calif. on a tram tour, when the driver asked everyone to be quiet, as we passed through an 'active shoot' of a brand new television show! We looked down to see Bill Bixby, waist deep in a large pool of water & the driver said that the show was to be called "The Incredible Hulk"! A month later, we saw this scene on t.v. as part of the pilot episode! R.I.P. Bill!
Bill Bixby was a great actor and deserves a Star. I loved him as, David Banner on The Incredible Hulk, My Favorite Martian, guest characters, Blossom, though, my favorite is, The Courtship of Eddie's Father.. Let me tell you about my best friend. Gone too soon and greatly missed.
i remember his wife, the actress's face now..but did not know the tragedy about his young son..aww soo tragic and the boys mum kills herself ..soooo sad
I’m so proud of child actor Brandon Cruz from the TV show The courtship of Eddie’s Father doing his best to Go Fund Me and raise money for a star for Bill Bixby when he should have one anyway for all of his contributions and talents he bestowed in the TV and movie industry. Its a damn shame if you ask me why he doesn’t to this day have one!
I remember watching my favorite martian that was a fun show. And this is brown always coming around with her brownies. I also remember watching the courtship of Eddie's father that was a good show as well. He seemed like a real nice guy and the kind of person who would lend a helping hand no matter what. I hope he is still resting in peace 🥀🕊️🥀🕊️
I remember watching The Courtship of Eddie's Father in syndicated reruns. He played a widower to a young son. He was the quintessential TV dad. His TV son Brandon Cruz was good friends until his passing. When Brandon Cruz had a son who he named Bixby in memory of his TV dad. The Magician TV show. He played a magician named Tony Blake, who used magic to solve crimes and to get out of predicaments. He should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Yes, Brandon Cruz would name his firstborn son Lincoln Bixby Cruz (born 1995). Sadly not only had Bill outlived his only child but he himself was an only child and his mother Jane McFarland Bixby (1911-2008) outlived her family by many years. However Mr. Cruz made it a point to personally let Mrs. Bixby know that he WAS immortalizing their family via naming his own son that due to how important the late Mr. Bixby had been to him!
I enjoyed your commentary about BILL BIXBY. I grew up watching his shows and I really enjoyed his acting. He was also a top- notch magician. He did a lot in 59 yrs. I was hoping that you had talked about his magic achievements or at least mentioned it. I would have liked to have heard about where he performed, etc, etc. You probably didn't have time to say to much about his magic career. Thanks, God Bless
Bill Bixby was a great actor and definitely needs a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I'm so proud of what Brandon Cruz has done to honor Bill Bixby and hope he's able to get that star for him. He should also have 1. I've been a big Brandon Cruz fan since Courtship of Eddie's Father premiered in 1969.
Since I’m just a year younger, I know exactly what you’re saying about my favorite Martian. I love that show. I couldn’t watch it enough. I look at it now and it’s so dated in someways, but it was a great show and I watched it with my family thanks for another great video, I hope he gets his star
thank you for that sad sad tale of a dearly beloved actor ..I thought aww..I remember his wife too with the 6 year old boy i didnt know died..anyways thanks again for such a warm caring presentation!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Bill Bixby as Tom Corbett. He was the type of father I would have loved to have. I also LOVED Brandon Cruz as a son. He was a cool guy. I love the fact that they loved each other in real life and would do things together outside of the television schedule. 😊❤
I saw Bill guesting on the Mike Douglas show and I'll never forget it. Bill described a scene in which Bill's character and Brandon's character were having a chat in the bathroom. Brandon was at the sink and Bill stepped out of the shower, and would shave at the mirror. Bill said that to make the scene more natural, he did the scene naked. I was a young teen at the time, and I wondered why would an actor would need to do that, and why would he tell that weird story to Mike and his audience.
Wow I didn’t know any of this that is heartbreaking losing his child then wife only to remarry and pass from health complications I’ve always wondered why it takes so many years for people to revive a star on the walk of fame Actress Ming-Na Wen just received hers last year and she’s been an actress for since 1988 but didn’t become famous until 1993 She’s now 60 going to be 61 this year I hope he gets his star it’s a shame they give the best years of their lives to the industry and they can’t even be properly honored
Hi Steve . Another great Video you've created here . After listening to you share Bill's History , he obviously did have quite a rough life in his earlier years . And then worse after his " Good " years . But I'm lucky because I remember quite well his years playing " Eddie's Father ". And I was always obsessed with The HULK !! A lot of us kids at School would spend a lot of time talking about Lou and his weight lifting . Any , I hope you're doing well Steve . And staying safe . I absolutely Love every single one of your Videos . That's probably because of it's obvious how much time and effort that you put in to create each one . See you next week Steve . I always liked him and his work. I never liked the fact that he had an afair with Paul Petersen's wife (Brenda Bennet)and married her after their divorce. Sad ending for all.
That is hard to believe that bill Bixby does not have a star.On the hollywood walk of fame . He truly deserves it.He was truly a star
I loved him as Donovan in "The Apple Dumpling Gang", Tom Corbett in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" and Dr. David Banner "The Incredible Hulk"

The TV show The Incredible Hulk was one of my favorite shows back in the 70’s.
Best part was at the end when the piano played the theme song, The Lonely Man, by Joe Harnell

I recall a guest appearance Bill Bixby made in "The Streets of San Francisco" TV series, playing against type as a sinister 'hit-man.'
And bill bixby deserves a star, did so much in a relatively short life.
He had a really great role in the epic mini-series "Rich Man, Poor Man," but everyone else in that cast was fantastic too!
Loved “The Courtship of Edde’s Father”. My husband loved “My Favorite Martian”. Such a versatile actor.

How many other actors had 3 hit series built around them? Some others did, but only as spin-offs.
Michael Landon, Lucille Ball. But I get your point.
