Great video. I bought my Sea Doo Fish Pro Trophy a few months ago. I was told at the dealer when flushing your engine after you turn off the water but before you kill the engine give the throttle a pull for a very quick 2 seconds, then immediately cut off the engine. Thank you for this video. I’ve been trying to find a video on how to clean my engine bay because I was nervous to just spray the engine down so thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing your video of the cleaning process. You do have a lot invested in the ski for sure. Question, when you're spraying inside the engine can it affect the electronics connections, is it safe if the connectors and so get wet?
Honestly I don't spray the inside of my like that all the time. It's a ski all connections are and should be water proof. There design to keep water from causing electrical issues. I've sprayed my down 3 times since I've had my ski and I've had no issues yet. One reason why I had salt water in my ski was because the rubber seal under my seat came loose and was allowing water into my ski.
Nice job on the video. A year later are you still cleaning the engine compartment with the spray hose or as someone suggested just using a can of silicon spray?
Thank you for the positive feedback, yes someone did recommended useing silicone spray and it does work really good. I still do a good cleaning but not as much as before.
I’ve never had water inside either of our GTXs. Like you said, get under and spray the intake grate, shaft, and impeller, then spray the protectant on those areas too.

Yes , sorry I just saw this question. If you are referring to the small holes at the bottom back of the ski those are your drain plugs. If you leave those open while on the water you'll sink your ski. You suppose to remove them once the ski is out of the water.
It is recommended that 7-10% of the total weight (weight of the trailer plus weight of the cargo on the trailer) be on the tongue. For example, if the gross weight of the trailer and cargo is 2,000 lbs, then the tongue weight should not be less than 140 lbs and should not be greater than 200 lbs. Idk much about these but definitely want to get myself one, one day. How many hours do these typically last? I read 300-500 hours. That doesn’t seem like a long time to me, I picture about 8 hours a week/weekend trip if you really like fishing. That’s about 415 hours in one year. So if you’re a very active fisherman this will only last about a year?
It really depends on you. I work a lot and depending on the weather and the seas it determine how many times we go offshore. I may get 6 trips in one year but that's only offshore. As long as you take care of the ski it will last a good while.
Service guy told me the 2018 and up only need to be inspected after 2 years or 200 hours. They changed the design of the supercharger and made it way more reliable, that's why they recommend just a inspection and not a rebuild like the older models. This being said they last years with proper maintenance, inspections to see if there are problems before they get bigger. Next is the carbon seal that defiantly need to be replaced when you do your regular inspection after 200hr. I know a dude who has put around 1100hr on a 2019 and besides the carbon seals every 200hr he had the supercharger rebuilt after 600hr and it cost him around 750$. The engine is still going strong in it.

@hiennguyen-eg6yx the rubber seal under my seat came apart that's why I was getting water in my ski
How should I clean it if I use it almost everyday?
In fresh water just a good soap and water cleaning. I saltwater I would use soap and water, and saltaway. Everyday in saltwater. I would at least do a extensive cleaning every 3 days at least.
Good video. But I do think this is overkill. It’s almost then a boast owner does. Dealers say no reason to rinse engine. Just spray silicon spray on it.
Thank you, I give it a extreme wash every other salt water trip. I haven't had any issues with it but I will try that silicone..thanks
You need a wet vac. That way you don't have to pick it up like that.
Where did the water go after you water the engine?
It flows out the drain plugs behind the ski
U have a hard time getting the flush treaded end into the ski?
No I didn't. It threaded just fine
Where did you get your numbers? They look real good .
After 1 hour of searching my emails lol I found the store that I bought them from. boatdecals.biz/registration-numbers/
do you clean like this everytime you took it out?
I clean it like that every other salt water trip. It's really up the owner I wanna make my ski last
There are 2 holes on the the back of the sea doo are they supposed to be closed
Yes , sorry I just saw this question. If you are referring to the small holes at the bottom back of the ski those are your drain plugs. If you leave those open while on the water you'll sink your ski. You suppose to remove them once the ski is out of the water.
Where did you get the hose kit?
Atlantis A7003 Quick Snap PWC Flush Kit , Black a.co/d/gxYTxEB
@@TexMexOutdoors thanks man
Well damn! I guess i better up my clean game!
Do you wait over night to flush? That’s what I thought you said.
I believe I said I wait till the engine bay dries out before spraying it down with that anti corrosion.
What model number is your trailer? Thanks
I have a 2004 Triton Lt model no sure if that helps. I had my own trailer when I bought my ski
Where did you get your letters and numbers.
I got them from here boatdecals.biz/registration-numbers/
What’s the approximate tongue weight?
It is recommended that 7-10% of the total weight (weight of the trailer plus weight of the cargo on the trailer) be on the tongue. For example, if the gross weight of the trailer and cargo is 2,000 lbs, then the tongue weight should not be less than 140 lbs and should not be greater than 200 lbs.
If my math and research is correct.
Trailer weighs 195lbs for the Triton LT
Seadoo fish pro trophy 1,023
1,118 × 10% = 111.8 lbs on the tongue
Wheel chocks?
No because it sits in the groove on my bed but the right thing to do is put chalks
I have a question hopefully you can help me with not related to the video content. What is the overall length jetski to trailer hitch. Looking to purchase one myself but storage may be an issue. Thank you in advance.
No problem I'll get you that info as soon as I get off work
@@TexMexOutdoors thank you also the width. Do you fish out of Galveston?
@@mannysalazar1124 I did but the fishing is better out of Matagorda the rigs are so close.
@@mannysalazar1124 did you get a ski
@@mannysalazar1124 my trailer is 14 foot long, from fender to fender its 5 foot. Keep in mind the ski adds length and width.
Great video, brother. I've been trying to find one of those skis, but haven't had any luck. Do you know where a dealership is that has them in stock?
Thank you very for the comment. I live in Houston where you from ...most of the mancuso's had them in stock
@@TexMexOutdoors I'm in the Lake Livingston area here. I work in La Porte, though. I'm normally in Houston every few months. I'll check them out and see if they have some. Do you recommend the one you have? I've been fishing off a 2005 Sea Doo GTX for years - both fresh and salt. I recently sold the '05 and was wanting to upgrade so I am looking for the best one I can find. Thanks for the quick reply, brother.
@@MrCrosbygrandpa The seadoo trophy is the mother ship of all skies 😃 yes it has all the bells and whistles but its built for fun and fishing. I love it has everything you can need. I do recommend this ski after 10 hours of break in it tops out around 58 to 60 depending on gear and thats in sport mode.
Have you tried calling both mancusos to see if they have seadoo trophys in stock
@@TexMexOutdoors They were closed so I'll shout at them tomorrow. I looked online and it appeared they have a few in stock - from what I could tell. Man I really appreciate you for this. Hope one day to see you on the water. I'll have some good cigars if you enjoy them. I'll let you know the progress I make on the ski. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
Why is there salt water “inside” of the ski??? Maybe you have a bigger problem. Ive been in the ocean upside down and the interior around motor was dry as a bone? Please explain
I found out the seal under my seat came off
Ah i see now.
@@reelhighmedia916 yeahhh I was wondering why I had water, I had to reglue that seal back on it was half off you wouldn't think it would come loose especially after being a new ski. Lesson learned lol
@@TexMexOutdoors I see I see. You could always just replace the motor when the times to right? Rather than dropping another 20+k on one?
Great video, I would remove the short hose and replace with the short plastic quickvconnect nipple... it looks like it's actually part of the ski
Thank you for the positive feedback. Do you have a link on the shorter quick connection?

How much was your rig?
22 with out the trailer I bought another one .
Awesome thanks. Figured 20 or above. Nice. Cleaning ain’t fun but I know it’s a blast on the water. :)

Man you must have a leak somewhere. After riding my gti I might have a 1/2cup of water inside.
@@bobreichel the seal under my seat was half off. I just glued it back.
Wheres the Salt Terminator X? i only see Salt Terminator.
Install a bilge pump
Thats my next investment, this takes a lot of work keeping it clean on the inside
This is exactly why I won’t buy a second hand ski. No one will do this -.-
People are so lazy I’ve seen people flush it with just water at the car wash and full throttle it.
Can’t wait to buy a brand new one :(
Thank you for the positive feedback. I do my best to keep it clean and running like a champ. It's a he'll off a investment not to take care of it. I wish you the best on your new ski and take care of it. Tight lines bud!!!
Dude you should never leave the quick connect adapter on ever!
Do you wanna sink your ski one day?
I left the quick connect on and left it on the lake overnight. No water got in! When I left mine I also called and asked would it allow water into the ski and the tech said no.
30,000? Thought those things are 19,000 plus 2,000 for trailer !!
Hell no bro, after tax title and license it went up around 28 and some change. Plus the price went up shortly after they came out. I put 2 grand down and waited 16 months before getting it. Then again I made them add the cover as well.
Just bought my 23 trophy at 24,500 (rounded up) out the door 28 & 30 is crazy
I agree!
Ooof pre-ordered the 24 trophy for 22800 out the door with trailer
a pressure washer would be a time saver
@yubetou52 I bought one, lol
Great video but the so called music in the background is beyond annoying.
