@inmypaants I've been between the 7700x and 7800x3d, and while the 3d is pricier it seems like such a banger for its focus on gaming and less power draw. The only workloads I do on my computer are writing-software based, which, unless Microsoft Word and Scrivener suddenly start requiring max core efficiency...I think I'll stick to the x3d.
Mostly likely the CPU cooler will be a top-down style cooler and draw air from outside. Same for the graphics card. I think if an additional bottom fan is added. It should be used as exhaust, instead of intake.
@@tazzmania6292 Oh, not again. You have to consider the entire air flow paths of the case. An active 120mm fan can easily overcome the feeble effect of hot air wants to rise up. With CPU and GPU fans act as intakes. An exhaust fan will help air circulation and components temperature.
I built in the ridge, and it was easy, but I'm having trouble keeping the temperatures down. I have an i5 13600k in there. This oine seems a lot more fiddly, So I'm not even going to attempt it.
im using Rog strix 4090 in my Xproto-L series which support up to 345mm also have better thermal than this , since both doesn''t have any dustproof so ... easy choice
Agreed! It's about a liter smaller than the Dan A4 H20 and that supports a 240mm aio. But the Fractal Terra is just so gorgeous and I'm conflicted. Though I think the North is the prettiest and hope they make an ITX version of that.
I wonder if the ID Cooler SI-55 or the Thermalright AXP-100 copper would be better. Over at Hardware Canucks, those two fans outperformed the Noctua Ghost. Well, all three were good. At the same time, my GPU limits me to 57-58 mm CPU cooling.
It would be interesting to see a build with a single fan AIO like NZXT Kraken 120 or similar, since no one seems to have done it yet in youtube (exclusive content tip, wink wink).
I have the 5800x with a 240mm radiator in a NR200 and I have massively undervolted it (while it still being stable) due to just struggling to keep temps low, I get good temps now but I am wondering if I could still keep my 5800x and if so, what cooler could anyone recommend for my 5800x if I had this case???
Great video as usual 🥰🥰, would my current gpu ( 3070ti x trio ) fit in this case ( 323mm long ) ? It seems that it is 1mm longer than the case’s length clearance. Width and height are ok Thanks 🙏
Take a look at Gamers Nexus review of this case. They noted that having a CPU fan right up against the wall of the case creates extremely annoying noises. So with the cooler Flannigan chose, you wouldn't have that issue. Something to think about.
I'd be interested to see how the Ryzen 7900 non X would preform thermally in this configuration, as it has a much lower TDP of 65W.
or a 7800x3d
Perfect case for the X3D chips, I think a 7900X isn’t the right choice for this form factor tbh
How come the X3D chips? I’m looking at one and the Terra so would love to know please - are the thermals better on them or something ?

CHRIS! Please make a full build guide with the new CORSAIR 2000D Airflow! I love you so much ❤
What electric screwdriver are you using and would you recommend?
I was wondering this too
Can you please review Dan C4-SFX when available in the UK?
What do you recommend for a cheaper alternative .. but still very tiny and slim?
It’s such a cool case, but why Fractal, why no dust filter? 😢
To keep the profits up
It's a small case that takes 2 minutes to blow through, that's why.

Hot air rises

@@tazzmania6292there's been a few tests and they have confirmed that bottom exhaust is better than bottom intake.

I really need a 4090 FE card, my MSI card is too big for all these sff cases :(

I wish it was a little bigger so it could support better CPU cooling solutions

then it wouldnt be an itx case or sff

you need a gpu length of 322mm maximum to fit in that case so your gpu is 1mm longer that maximum
This is an interesting case with a lot of opportunities
so in the end dust is totally not a thing for pc anymore ? i would go with X proto then

You should’ve used the Noctua NH-L9x65 instead.

Too bad they didn't use the gold accent like Fractal North. Still gorgeous tho...
[scratches head] What's a CPU killer?
first
Congratulations 🎉
I generally love all the fractal designs, but this one... uuuuuuglyyy.
Only this and the North are nice looking. The rest of Fractal cases are ugly as hell.
