Here is a tip for the sitdown restaurants at Animal Kingdom, book a table at the end of the day, you can stay in the park past closing, have a great meal and simply walk out and to your bus without the crowds...also lets you maximize your day at a park. (Considering how early Animal Kingdom closes)
The park restaurant ranking videos from this channel have been SO helpful in planning out our Disney trip this year! I’ve been to the parks before, but knew next to nothing about interesting/good places to eat in each park. Thank you so much for all the work that goes into making these!!
Once on a solo trip, I went to Tiffins (not the first time), and they seated me at Nomad Lounge. On this occasion they didn't want to tie up a full table (for 6?) for a single guest, as they had done on previous visits. But I still got to order from the Tiffins memu, which I love!
When my fiance and I were in AK in 2021, the stand out we had was actually the Night Blossom slushie from Pongu Pongu (next to Santu'li). We loved that is was the perfect amount of sweet with a touch of tart, and perfect for a hot humid day even if a bit heavy. Highly recommend that, as I am still craving it even now! The Pongu Lupia we were disappointed in, and we love pineapple and cream cheese, so don't recommend it. We enjoyed the food at Tusker House (but both of us don't have big appetites while traveling so kinda sad we couldn't enjoy more) as well as meeting the safari gang (best outfits for them in my opinion). Santul'i Canteen bowls were the perfect meal, and we loved the ambiance of the canteen with the music and the "artifacts" from the Na'vi. Yak and Yeti Restaurant was also the absolutely perfect unexpected dinner, with large portions so would be a good place to split a main entree while having one or two appetizers. The sauces I'm pretty sure are made in house because the flavor was fresh, at least to me.
Saltuli Canteen was our favorite; vegan, gluten free, dairy free options. Tasted really good and no one got an upset stomach. Felt great all day! Now that's a good thing!
I love Yak and Yeti Cafe’!!! The chicken fried rice and pork egg rolls are the first thing I RUN to when I visit Animal Kingdom. I even get some fried rice to go before leaving the park. It’s the most amazing food I’ve gotten while at Disney World!!! 10/10
Tusker House & Yak & Yeti are amazing, but pricey. We get the one sit down meal, one quick service & one snack dining plan. We can afford it, food is a big part of why we love Disney World, you get an alcoholic beverage or non-alcoholic beverage & dessert at table service meals & we can have 1 table service with a drink & dessert, 1 quick service & a snack. We often have another quick service for a meal & may have more than one snack a day, but we have found it helps us stick within a budget. We don’t get the most out of it, as we don’t order the most expensive items, just whatever sounds best to me & my husband. However, most character meals don’t cost extra & we find it worth prepaying for.
Thank you so much for this video. I loved it! My favorite place to eat here is the Yak and Yeti quick service. The honey seasame chicken is so good, I miss it when i am back home. My family also loves sitting outside at the nomad lounge and ordering drinks. The food options here are not my favorite, but we may try the churros this year. Last time we went, we got to see the boat go by with characters on it. After watching the video, i think I am going to have to try a hamburger pod and some mac n cheese for my next visit.
The thing I loved most from Animal Kingdom was actually the breakfast pancake "corndog" that I learned about from one of these videos. That was one of the most fun things I've ever had for breakfast and it tasted great!
We were there a couple of weeks ago. we were able to grab a drink at the nomad lounge and it was lovely. We also had lunch at Harambe market and I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the park.
LOVE Restaurantosaurus. One of my favorite WDW places to eat. And it wasn't 100% McDonald's food but it was certainly the fries, so kinda sad that at the time the best fries at WDW weren't even Disney fries. Still a great place, though.
Great video as always! If you wish to rank every Disney restaurant and quick service that is NOT at a park or Disney Springs, that would be cool too! A lot of my fav restaurants at Disney are not at the parks and some aren’t even at Springs. Talking about like BOMA or Ohana’ and even the ones at the Four Seasons and Swan & Dolphin! I challenge and welcome yall to do a video on all of those! 🎉
I totally agree that Nomad Lounge is the absolute best!! Yak and Yeti is my second favorite. The history in the restaurant is mind blowing. I love Asian food so for me, it’s a no brainer. Back to Nomad Lounge…..hands down the BEST churros I have ever eaten. Ive had several menu items as well and all were well worth the wait. Staff is amazing. Animal Kingdom is my favorite park and as you say, the food is amazing at so many places. Thank you for the good video AJ.
Can anyone confirm whether Tusker House serves scrambled eggs at their breakfast currently? I saw pictures in the DFB guide that had it listed, but on MDE under menus, they only list hard-boiled eggs. Thanks!
A couple years ago Restaurantosaurus had that special Burger menu they tried for a few months. Higher quality burgers than usual and a sundae bar included, that was one of the better meals we had that trip. Shame they didn’t keep it around.
Can’t believe that Yak and Yeti indoor restaurant didn’t make the top 5! Everything we ordered there was amazing and also came in really big portions. Was kinda pricey but we did also order a ton of food lol
Satu'li Canteen is hands down my favorite restaurant in the park. Having said that, a lot of the time when I go to Animal Kingdom, all I want is INDOORS. So we go to Pizzafari a lot just for that.
My school went to disney and the grand finale was dinner at rainforest cafe and it was mediocre at best, the food was just the theme park food but even more expensive.
Tusker House was the best character dining experience I’ve ever had, but the food was not as good as I was expecting. It tasted like the food had been sitting there for a while and I don’t think I will go back unless a traveling companion wants to go. I’m glad I had the experience, but I don’t need to go back.
Hi. On your UA-cam channel can you please make a video for first-timers Magic Kingdom 2024 one-day itinerary that is trying to go to all the rides and see the fireworks and try to do everything there and see everything as well as go shopping. timing May.
Restaurantosaurus was our first Disney meal, and the food was fine. But the cast member at the till bit my head off for asking about how the Dining Plan would work.
AJ! Love DFB but you totally did Flametree dirty here. The food is delicious and the portions are large enough to share. The chicken/rib combo can feed at least 2 ppl for the cost of one! Easily an 8.5.
i was eating at flame tree bbq in july of last year and a bird jumped on our table and took almost all of our bbq mac and cheese. luckily the workers gave us another mac and cheese. they are definitely scary
They were rude to me and wouldn’t help when I was struggling with my son and a Tray and there weren’t a lot of seats when he was younger and I will never forget that. ☹️
The only one I would disagree with is placing Eight Spoon Cafe in the top 5. Seems like a place that only sells Mac N Cheese would be lower (I'm not even going to acknowledge the abomination of a sandwich lol!) . Other than that, I like the list!
Post watch. Well I was wrong. This may be the first DFB list that isn't bad. For the most part I can get behind the order of the items. My first disagreement is the low placement of Kusafari, Hambre Market, Yak and Yeti Cafe. I think these three places could rank in or near top 5. However, I looked at the Disney web page and saw that the menus for all three have had some excellent foods removed and the overall selections greatly diminished. So, I can see dropping them a peg but still not below Flame Tree. My second problem is with Tiffin's being so high. It's food is basic but the cost in time and money does not justify its existence so it would be rather low on my list. Then again, I would typically put most signature restaurants in the parks on the low end of any list. I do agree with the high placement of 8 spoons and Satuli (my 3 and 1) but I do not share the extreme love of Nomad's. Also I was surprised that 4 places were left off the list: Smiling Croc - street tacos; Hambre Fruit Market - ala cart meals; Tamu Tamu - BK and snacks; and Pangu Pangu - BK and snacks. Of the places listed in the video my ranking would have been: 1 Satuli, 2 Harambre Market, 3) 8 Spoon, 4 Tusker House, 5 Yak & Yeti Cafe, 6 Kusafari, 7 Nomad's, 8 Flame Tree, and 9 Restaurantasaurus.
Nomad Lounge at the top of the list, surprise surprise 😏 We get it, AJ loves that place beyond any food experience in WDW. Why make this video, why not just say see ALL the AK dining videos DFB has ever made?? Maybe it’s Disney’s fault for staying too dull and predictable, I felt like a psychic because it’s so obvious what would be in this video and how they would rank. 👎
The bowl I had at Saltuli Canteen is one of the best meals I’ve had at any park period!
Same! I dream about it nightly!
Yes, and those cheeseburger dumplings are splendid too!

What time do they close
@@TweetVuitton6pm
I literally stand at the entrance to Nomad at 10 a.m. every time I visit just to get a certain table and the churros!! (plus other food and drinks)
The Mark Summers reference! Yes, AJ! I remember SO many of the Disney Park bits he did. They all had me mesmerized as kid.
The park restaurant ranking videos from this channel have been SO helpful in planning out our Disney trip this year! I’ve been to the parks before, but knew next to nothing about interesting/good places to eat in each park. Thank you so much for all the work that goes into making these!!
Can’t wait to hear where you choose to go! 💖
Once on a solo trip, I went to Tiffins (not the first time), and they seated me at Nomad Lounge. On this occasion they didn't want to tie up a full table (for 6?) for a single guest, as they had done on previous visits. But I still got to order from the Tiffins memu, which I love!
So you got to experience the best of both worlds! So cool!
When my fiance and I were in AK in 2021, the stand out we had was actually the Night Blossom slushie from Pongu Pongu (next to Santu'li). My family eats at Flame Tree BBQ whenever we go to Animal Kingdom, which isn't often. It always satisfies
I did that crazy mac and cheese pulled pork last week. It was delicious!
On to Pandora Sulei next week!
I love Flame Tree!!!
Yakin Yeti is a must-try for diverse flavors in a stunning setting!
Saltuli Canteen was our favorite; vegan, gluten free, dairy free options. Tasted really good and no one got an upset stomach. Felt great all day! Now that's a good thing!

An Unwrapped with Marc Sommers reference??? I knew this channel was my favorite for a reason ❤❤❤

We loved Nomads lounge when we were there! It’s a must do every time for us! Those chicken wings were amazing!

We’ve never had a bad meal at Tiffins. By far our favorite place to eat in WDW❤

Going to be moving down to Florida later this year, absolutely cannot wait to try all the good eats Disney has!
Love this place! Go alone and just sit and watch what comes down the river!😊
Hi AJ. I’m wondering if you’re planning on ranking all resort restaurants? 🤞
This will be my first time at Nomad Lounge. I’m excited!
Two requests, if I may:
Time stamps are lovely things.
Also, would love to see Ranking Restaurant vids for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
I always treat myself to Tiffin's. It's a great place to take a break in the middle of the day. It's dark and quiet, and the food is spectacular.
Tiffin’s should have had the top spot! Their grilled octopus is amazing!😋
I totally agree that Nomad Lounge is the absolute best!! Yak and Yeti is my second favorite. The history in the restaurant is mind blowing. I love Asian food so for me, it’s a no brainer. Tusker Breakfast is perfect
Mmmmm! Crust and grease! And I loved Marc Summers on Unwrapped.
Can anyone confirm whether Tusker House serves scrambled eggs at their breakfast currently? I saw pictures in the DFB guide that had it listed, but on MDE under menus, they only list hard-boiled eggs. Thanks!
Animal Kingdom has some of the best food in all of Disney World. The only park that comes close is EPCOT during the food and wine festivals.
A couple years ago Restaurantosaurus had that special Burger menu they tried for a few months. Higher quality burgers than usual and a sundae bar included, that was one of the better meals we had that trip. Shame they didn’t keep it around.
taking notes for my spring trip 👏🏾👏🏾
Yay I’ve been wondering when this was coming! ❤
There's tiffins....and then everything else.
There’s an ergonomic solar-powered McDonalds close to All-Star Resorts.
What about Mr kamals????? Seasoned fries! Dumplings!
Nomad Lounge wins for me too!
Can’t believe that Yak and Yeti indoor restaurant didn’t make the top 5! Everything we ordered there was amazing and also came in really big portions. Was kinda pricey but we did also order a ton of food lol

That’s impossible to do! You need 2 days at MK and that is stretching it!
❤ Yes I remember. Thanks for the childhood memories ❤
AJ's voice is the best!
I’d recommend it.
Didn't Restaurantosaurus have a character meal at one time? Maybe with Donald Duck? Why did they get rid of it?
Restaurantosaurus was our first Disney meal, and the food was fine. But the cast member at the till bit my head off for asking about how the Dining Plan would work.
14:15 Literally tho?
It says Eight Spoon Cafe is not accepting the dining plan. That’s a bummer.
I was disappointed Mr Kamals wasn't on this list it's a new favorite of mine.
My favorite park
Thanks. Going tomorrow. I love AK
AJ! Love DFB but you totally did Flametree dirty here. The food is delicious and the portions are large enough to share. The chicken/rib combo can feed at least 2 ppl for the cost of one! Easily an 8.5.

They need to bring back Festival of the LK Tier 2.
Tiffins with the show then the safari was the best money spent in AK!
I love the puffy pizza not hiding it! But I think I am the only one 😂
They were rude to me and wouldn’t help when I was struggling with my son and a Tray and there weren’t a lot of seats when he was younger and I will never forget that. ☹️
My family LOVED the pizza.
Satuli is #1 for me ♥️
Cheeseburger Pods for life 🍔
@@dfbbreeawe ordered those puke pods!! Never ever again
@@dfbbreea it’s the roast beef bowls for me!! 💕
Can you just sit an entire afternoon here or will they kick you out after a certain time?
I also want to know this
I went to nomd lounge on my honeymoon and my husband and I hated it. It could have been because it was during Covid, but we had a terrible experience.
Buffalo & Blue Cheese for the win! That's how it is done in Buffalo, NY!
Our favorite is flame tree BBQ
I remember the mcd’s at animal kingdom
The only one I would disagree with is placing Eight Spoon Cafe in the top 5. Seems like a place that only sells Mac N Cheese would be lower (I'm not even going to acknowledge the abomination of a sandwich lol!) . Other than that, I like the list!
AJ? Can you please do more plant based videos? Thank you.
I almost died from food poisoning at Yak and Yeti. Undercooked fish.
To be fair AJ, showing your Marc Summers related age would be to talk about Double Dare
Please stop telling people about Nomad Lounge. 😉
Yak n yeti is at least a 1/2 point better than flame tree bbq if not a full point of more for a few reasons.
Buffets are like casinos; the house always wins.
If it was me I’d chose both pizzafari anyway.
We love Nomad lounge and Tusker House should be hogher
did you forget to put dino bite snacks in the rankings?
we're just ranking restaurants with full meals in this video
Did they really have McDonalds food? I think they only had the McD fries
If you have to ask everyone if Nomad Lounge is the best restaurant in Animal Kingdom, then it probably isn't the best restaurant in Animal Kingdom.
Pre watch prediction: This list will be so wrong that I will be upset.

Flame tree is over rated. It’s not good barbecue.
