I went to Mornington Island in 1969, it was a very different approach. I met with Dick and Leslie indigenous painters... the village had nothing to do with what it is today. I met an old man there who was born before the arrival of the white man. In those days the mission was run by the Presbyterian church. we witness few preparation of their sacred dances, where only men are allowed to witness the sacred face decoration. my staying there at that time had a profound impact in the understanding of the indigenous people of Australia. these people looked after there Mother for 40 000 years and kept her in pries teen condition, it took 200 years for the white man to dietary the ecological balance of the country. I met Dick and Lesly via Prescy Precise author of the Quicken country.
