Thank you! This was like listening to a really good friend, sharing all the important details. Much appreciated.
Thank you Amanda!!
I like that you are both mic'd up now. Each of you bring a unique perspective, both are valuable.
Awesome!
Erik's banter is fun. It's a good reminder that all is not black and white.
I like having him mic’d too! He has good thoughts :)
The sweet little flower farm collage behind you! 😍
The banter is cute. You aren’t just a robot. 😆
You are a very smart and talented business person! Thank you for sharing your strategies and efficiencies with us. I'm a 41 y/o home gardener that loves cut flower bouqs so I'm learning lots of tips on managing my time to keep up with my garden! Hello from western CO.
The conversational aspect of the 2 mic videos makes the videos more natural.
As an interior designer, I whole heartedly agree that colour theory is a non issue for market bouquets. Most homes aren't even decorated with colour theory in mind, they are decorated with what the home owner loves. Obviously event work is different.
As far as the double paper, branding, etc. I completely agree that it is unnecessary cost and labour if you have a market stand. If you are at a farmer's market, or other outlet, create one and done signage only. If people want to take the info home with them, they will take a photo of it with their phone, these days business cards are somewhat obsolete and usually get tossed - in my opinion.
I try to keep all my bouquets from 9 -11 stems.
Love the input about not doing the razzle-dazzle haha, makes so much sense!! 😊
This is my first year attempting to sell bouquets from my backyard at farmers markets in south central Kansas. One of these days I’ll find the time and ability to swing by your farm and finally buy some flowers from you. Your videos have helped me so much!
Thank you for being honest and straight forward, God Bless! So needed for me to hear!
Those tunnel snaps are GORGEOUS! Very helpful info. You guys are great! Thank you from my nano-sized flower farm in central Arkansas.
What a beautiful video !! A smart wise and very confident business woman !! I have to include your advice to all areas of my life !!
You are getting straight to the point !!! I love it !!!!!!
Ps : I’m not a flower farmer nor a florist !!
Thank you!
I'm determined to find a way to add the term 'Razzle-Dazzle' into my daily vocabulary. ;) I might say 'Fluff' or 'Flair' and use those words in the same way, but Razzle-Dazzle has a certain something that my daily speech needs. Beautiful flowers! I always learn a lot from your videos. Good call with Erik having a mic for your conversations.
Haha! ☺️
Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
26:33 good point. Love your customers!❤
I live in Western Kentucky ( Zone 7a now ) and I have Snaps that overwintered in the ground and in hanging baskets. I was shocked to see them alive. Mine do not grow anywhere near the size of yours though. Yours are just beautiful.
Thank you! This one was a good learn! 💚
Thank you so much. Love to watch. I learn something with each video.
I am so glad!
Love this video! So conversational and fun between you and Eric 😊
Question - what temp are your coolers set at?
36ish
I really enjoyed this vid....very informative for a newbie...
This is my first time watching...(I'm from East Coast Australia) I notice u don't use any greenery/filler?
I must've missed something along the way because I didn't realize you were pregnant. I've been going back and watching old videos, maybe that's why. Congratulations!!! Very exciting. You have a beautiful family and I think it's super sweet and cool to see you and Erik collaborating on this venture. You work very well together and complement one another. Keep up the great work. Warm greetings from California.
Thank you!
Everything gets pulled off and we put the flowers in a vase. The branding stuff is cute but it is extra $. Love your videos.
Agreed! ☺️
Thanks for another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful video!
Curious as to what brand of snips/scissors you use, they look like they are sharp and sturdy.
Loopseed
I really am so grateful I stumbled across your channel and FB group so early on in my journey. I learn SO MUCH from you two!
Question: Because I know everything you do is well thought out and with profitablitly and effeciency in mind - What made you decide to use the staple instead of tape? I only thought of this question because I just watched a wrapping video by Bloom & Gray as recommended in your FB group by someone and she uses tape. Maybe it's just preference but I'd love to know the answer!
Thanks for another great video!!
I think the stapler is faster and more secure. Bloom makes beautiful bouquets but i don’t think they’re that reasonable
Ah yes I am going to have to get my kids to wash my buckets too. I also have four kids 🤣
Sunday morning ritual videos! Love it
Very helpful thank you!
Most of humanity are dorks. 😂. Thats what i heard. 😂. Great job guys. Good video. Awesome flowers
🤭🤣
Chantlily snapdragons tend to be more spindly than Potomac or Costa series snaps in my experience. I don't think that's necessarily a tunnel vs outdoor issue. Your tunnel snap height is what we would get as a florist from wholesale growers.
Could you tell us when these snaps were sedded?. Love your videos!
They are plugs planted in january
Thanks! Just to compare them with mine 🤦🏽♀️yours look gorgeous. congrats!
Are those snapdragons cut and come again? Beautiful!
Thank you both for another great video. Can you share you favorite podcasts?
I’m enjoying Jenny marks new podcast Six Figure Flower Farming. We have similar philosophies.
Thanks Alex...can you show what your bouquets look like in a vase?
What kind of flower conditioner were you using in your field buckets?
Chrysal #2
Love the snaps! Random question~Where did you get your black dress?
A local bouquet in town
Hope you're all right through the weather last night
TONS of rain but thankfully things look ok
How many seeds do you plant per hole and how often do you plant successions with sunflowers and zinnias
I would love to grow in a planter some snapdragon and others to cut to take to my grandparents and mom’s graves. I feel badly that my late gramma and grandpa would drive a long ways to clean off graves of family they never met, from the Civl War era, and took buckets of flowers on Memorial Day. I live in an apartment but want to do to them as they did for others. I put a mini pink hydrangea into a large patio planter this spring. I hope to have a few flowers for them.
Will you link the craft paper you use from Amazon?? Thank you!

Are you composting your cut stem ends and discarded flowers?
typically
Where did you source your metal buckets?
Feed store
Do you happen to know how many gallons your feed buckets are?
I want to say 2 gallons
@@CoramDeoFarm perfect! I found 2 gallon buckets online! Great and informative video for this new flower farmer!!
I agree - and I think people buy them like they would have picked them out of a field! Not from a florist!!
That’s a good way to put it
Eric is growing on me 😂
Hahaha i like him too
@@CoramDeoFarm❤
Beautiful flowers! Im curious what she charged as a delivery fee for that distance?
Probs not much because we are friends and it was a large order
Have you ever shared how much profit you make per bouquet? This video was very helpful!
It’s variable but the aim is 50% profit overall for everything
If you have a business license, have you compared the prices from wholesalers ? (craft, florist supplies, paper/printer wholesaler? ) I have a printer shop, so I can see that there is a big price difference if you buy wholesale, perhaps you'll have to buy a bit more, but paper stays good for ever if it doesn't get wet, it can save you up to 50 %
Yeah we only pay wholesale prices.
You are 5 8! No wonder you wear clothes so beautifully ❤❤
That’s sweet of you
I am 4'11" and I look like a oompa loompa whatever I wear 😂😂😂 (a cute one but still)
Why do you buy your metal buckets specifically? Ive checked our farm stores and they're $25-$30!!
Our farm store is $7
Tractor supply has similar for $7
Oh my goodness! You’re 5’x8”! Is Eric 7’?? 😅
Haha! He is 6’5”
Please add a little green filler
no thank you. Our bouquets sell just fine without them
I would not pay $25 for that bouquet. Sorry
You’re welcome to buy international flowers grown by slave labor and covered in cancer pesticides rather than pay what quality American grown flowers are worth. Our customers happily enjoy the latter.
I always get food for thought for my flower-unrelated artistry from your videos. Beautiful flowers. To me extra fluff or filler flowers is taking away from the value of the flowers. So decreasing the perceived value. Plus the fluff is just extra unnescessary stuff to fill the bin with. Glory to the actual flowers.
And camera man's thoughts are interesting too. 🍿🪨
Thank you for watching!
