Yes, this is me. I posted the video there a couple of weeks ago but no one seemed to care, probably because I didn't mention any tubeliners in my title. ;) The thread was called "Scar Creek to Tsuniah Lake.
To my knowledge there are three purchase options ath the Flight Sim Store: 1. plain download 2. plain download on a backup DVD 3. Boxed DVD I don't know if you can download the scenery while waiting for your backup disc to arrive with option 2, but I should think so. Just don't take my word for it. ;)
I use default REX water colours and the Use This! wave animation. On top of that I use the freeware tool FS Water Configurator (FSWC) with the Inland Calm shader preset.
@CrIp1391 I did that with FSRecorder 2. I recorded one flight as a replay and played it back as traffic while flying in loose formation myself. This flight I recorded as well. Then I played both recorded replays together and filmed one aircraft from the other. Thanks to FSRecorder's Advanced Play function I could select either one of the two aircraft as my camera platfrom and get different perspectives. So it's actually two identical planes in that video. ;)
WOW! It looks awesome... Great for those of us who like bush runs in FSX. Is it a frame burner??? Oh, by the way... 5/5 stars - Cool choice of plane and music - Cheers.
WOW! This add-on looks awesome, thanks for posting it for us. It will be great for those of us who like to do bush flights. I've gotta ask, is it hard on the frame rate??? It looks like it might be a frame burner. 5/5 stars - great video - nice choice of aircraft and music. Cheers.
I used the tool FSRecorder to record two aircraft in formation flight and then a freeware camera tool called EZdok Walk to record one aircraft from the other.
@CrIp1391 For both the internal and external camera moves I used the freeware tool EZdok Walk, which has since been succeeded by its payware continuation EZdok Camera (EZCA) from Flight1. You can still find EZdok Walk when you google for it, though.
Hi there, Great video, nice work my friend. Tell me, what water textures are you using? I'm using REX but I can't get the right theme/balance - mine are way to vibrant, yours looks much more realistic. Cheers, CH
Compared to default it does, but it's still pretty smooth (~20-50fps) in most places even on Extremely Dense autogen settings on my system (Athlon Phenom II 940 @ 3,3GHz, Ati Radeon 4870 1GB). Only huge cities like Portland or Seattle can manage to bog it down to 8-12 fps at Extremely Dense, but that's till pretty good! Check out my STOL demo video. It was recorded with Fraps in real time without any tricks and on Extremely Dense autogen settings.
It certainly is harder on the frames than default scenery but I could do this flight with the autogen setting on Extremely Dense and I got about 20 fps with Athlon Phenom II 940 @ 3,3GHz and an Ati Radeon 4870 1GB.
Hey. Unfortunately I don't have the original files anymore. But feel free to use this video, if you can grab it off UA-cam. Just keep in mind that I used music from the Roland Emmerich movie "The Day After Tomorrow" so your video is probably going to be demonetized if you feature the music in your video. I'm thinking about doing a shot for shot remake of this video with MSFS. Still waiting for Carenado to release the Cessna 185 for MSFS. 😉
Ha, thanks for the response. Ah yes, the copyright issue. I had forgotten about that! Sure, I can't afford to get a strike against my channel. A shame, as I think the idea I had would have worked nicely. Anyway, thanks again and good simming.@@Jigsaw407
I have the disc for PNW....FTX...sees it as unlicensed even though I paid for it. Now without updates...airports are misconfigured in areas. I don't think I will be suckered into anymore fsx future money grabs.
That was AWESOME!
The music was great. The camera angles were fantastic.
Plus, I like that airplane.
5/5
Looks absolutely amazing! The graphics are so prestine and real! Beutiful video. love the song. :)
it's a great pleasure watching all your videos! Good job!

Thats the track "President's Speech" from the "Day After Tomorrow" score by Harald Kloser

You have a very high level of skill with this. Many people who get paid to do this shit lack what you have
@Jigsaw407 wow thanks looks fantastic
WOW, i wish this was what xplane looked like
I used the tool FSRecorder to record two aircraft in formation flight and then a freeware camera tool called EZdok Walk to record one aircraft from the other.
@Jigsaw407 wow thanks looks fantastic what abou when in the VC?????
Lovely vid! Poetic and evocative music! Is this Jigsaw from FSW?

Excellent video! What musical artist?
very nice..does the ftx thing reduce your FPS in FSX

Hold on I think I just....yup. Gotta go to the bathroom. How do you capture video like that? I'm a little out of the loop :)
Hi Jigsaw407, I wonder if I could make contact with you in some way, as I would like to feature this video in a forthcoming video on my channel.

Is the music Hans Zimmer?
Whoa
It's really easy. All you need is the video capture software Fraps and a little patience. ;)
I have the disc for PNW....FTX...sees it as unlicensed even though I paid for it. Now without updates...airports are misconfigured in areas. I don't think I will be suckered into anymore fsx future money grabs.
how do you do that camera sway thing??
I love FTX scenery. It's just to bad, their selection is limited.
Can you run REX and ORBX at the same time?
Yes....4 years later.
