Logic, I love the detail that you put into explaining the inner workings of your farms. I really enjoy many of your designs and use several regularly. Thanks for sharing this with us! I noted that in 1.17 and 1.18 (both Hardcore), i would sometimes lose bad omen as others have commented here. It seems to be related to NOT getting the "Raid - Victory" notification prior to killing all of the raid captains. Instead, I get the "xx Remaining" notification that can hang around until I kill the last raider. But I think I've isolated a solution. I believe the problem is caused by the raiders falling down too soon...before the water flush begins and all of the waves have fully spawned in. To resolve it, I've added a piston to extend across the top of the drop shaft to hold raid at the top until I get the "Raid - Victory" signal. I've also followed the approach Avomance did in implementing your design and use a manual flush system instead of the automatic tripwire set up. It is less elegant than your design, but it seems to work for me. I can start the raid and hold them all at the top until I get the Victory notice, and then drop them down and get Bad Omen without fail. It also gives an addition benefit of being able to force a raid to fail by keeping the platform flooded manually while jumping down to start another raid. I can then purposely lose Bad Omen without needed to keep milk handy. Thanks again for this and so many other great designs. One engineer to another...nice work all around.
You need to make sure you've been at it for at least 30 seconds after the last wave spawned. build a small clock that opens the trapdoor closing the drop chute if you need to.
Materials Needed: 923 Glass (Just under 14 and a half stacks) 112 Slabs (Rounded up 2 stacks) 24 Signs 22 Trapdoors 16 Comparators 16 Redstone Dust 16 Repeaters 15 Building Blocks (Be sure mobs are able to spawn on them) 7 Stairs 5 Chests 5 String 3 Iron Bars 3 Torches 2 Hoppers 2 Fence Gates 2 Trip Wire Hooks 1 Composter (Or any Villager job block) 1 Lava Bucket 1 Carpet 1 Redstone Torch 1 Soul Sand 1 Villager (Make sure it's not a Nitwit) 14 Boats of any kind (In all you will need about 1 and a half shulker boxes) Hope this helps!
This is a ridiculously simple way of building a raid farm, I used to never bother because of the complexity some people made it with. Thanks for also explaining it all so I know if I've made any errors in the farm, you earned a like 👍

Logicalgeekboy has some of the BEST simple versions of otherwise complex farms. The most annoying is probably the wither skele one because of the spawn proofing if the whole despawn sphere isnt in a soul sand valley. Those damn ghasts man

@⬆️ in the wrong maybe it's something to do with the realm settings then you'll have to check with the owner to solve that. Maybe check the settings you have on your creative world, that allows the farm to work, like the render distance, and apply it to the realm. If none of this works then you can try the Internet, maybe search something like 'farms not working on realm/server but work well on single player'. There is always a fix :)
I have LITERALLY just finished building this in my hardcore world. Day 317 . Feels absolutely beautiful to have totems and so easy too , this is 100% safe and easy to follow , must been if I could follow it properly , absolutely great
Brilliant tutorial, I love all the game mechanics behind it. The farm works really well and isn't ridiculously OP. Adding a beacon makes it even more safe although I don't seem to get attacked by vexes that often. Keep up the good work.
I had an issue where pillagers were dying from fall damage in Java 1.18. I fixed this by adding an additional hopper to my build at 22:07. Stack it ontop of the hopper that he places to save the pillagers from dying from fall damage.
Small tip that might help some trying to build this _very_ early game: novice trade of weaponsmith includes an enchanted iron sword. even with sweeping edge I it raises sweeping damage from 1 to 4 hp, what you need to kill all evokers and witches in one swing. Sweeping edge I or II should roll after 20 or so tries

I love these tutorials! They are the perfect difficulty so that I can make them even when I have limited time to play. But they still produce results! I am finally making it to the end game!
Thank you for a fantastic tutorial logical! Everything was so well explained and easy to understand. I was confused when nothing spawned after building it and getting bad omen but it turned out the first wave had spawned on my nether portal nearby so once that was slabbed up and the first wave killed, the farm worked perfectly!

You don't need stacks of kelp if you have bonemeal, preferably from a simple skeleton farm. You can just bonemeal the kelp until it reaches all the way to the top!
Thank you so much for making an actually good raid farm plus a schematic download that's free and actually works in newer updates. Been looking for a raid farm that I can build with a schematic because tutorials take me way too long. Thanks so much! 👍
is this farm safe to use in Hardcore as well? Some farms have trouble with the vexes and end up killing the player, and I would hate to see that happen! Also, is there a world download available? Edit: I built this farm and it works completely fine! Thank you so much for this tutorial :)
Here is a solution for players that lose the bad omen effect like I did. I fiddled around with the setup in creative after dying a couple of horrible deaths trying to 'fix' thinks in survival... Move the killing platform and everything above 4 blocks up (basically make the elevator and drop shute 4 blocks higher. This way you kill the banner dudes outside the raid zone I guess. Killing the banner dude in the raid zone prevents you from getting the bad omen effect. Also replace the carpet with a half slab (and replace the half slab above 1 higher, so you leave an opening for the killing. Otherwise the pillagers die on impact (for me at least), preventing you from killing them and thus preventing you from getting bad omen. Now I need a better sword to kill faster and prevent vexes more than with my standard diamond sword. The boats can only hold so much vexes lol. Emerald time!
I think you need to move the killing platform until it's at least 112 blocks above the village. 96 blocks away cannot guarantee the bad omen. Alternatively, you can move your villager lower into the ocean, towards the ocean floor, instead of moving the whole farm up. that's way easier.
So impressed with the quality of your instructions. Awesome raid farm, easy to build even in survival, lots of fun hearing the ominous horn blast! Thanks so much.
Still works on 1.19, if you’re having issues make sure you’re following exactly what’s said on the video and yes the way you’re facing matters. I failed to listen to that part the first time and it broke until I got it right. If you aren’t getting a lot of stuff make sure your world is set to Hard mode.
This farm is a thing of beauty! I built this farm based on Avomance's tutorial, but I couldn't get it to work. Because he linked back to you as the source I watched this and, thanks to your technical information, I was able to troubleshoot it by moving the villager to the optimum spot, and now it works like a charm and I have totems of undying coming out of my ears. Thank you!
Surprisingly easy to build, to be honest. And being able to fill entire shulkers with totems within minutes is absolutely bonkers playing on a hardcore world. Thanks mate.
OMG! never though is gotta work but work perfectly, i used portal above the nether to move between location easy, secure and fast. No adjust needed. BTW block above hopper right behind in killing area must be resistant like obsidian, since acumulate damage and gets broken
ianxofour has a similar farm with a captain storage to give you the bad omen effect right at the farm... the Video is called "instant raid farm" and I think you can easily include the feature into your farm.
For those who is building the sky and getting annoyed by the clouds all you need to do is go to game menu by pressing esc and go to options and go to video settings and in the right there is something that says “clouds:” and make it to “clouds:off” and no more clouds
Works well. 1.20 + Paper server. No issues. XP is not so great, 15minutes to get level 50. Early game not so bad. If anyone is losing bad omen: I lost my bad omen due to entity cramming and not killing the bannered illagers fast enough, so they died to cramming.
I'm having trouble with all the waves spawning at once, for some reason the farm only spawns wave 1 and none more. I checked the farm measurements and could find anything wrong, the linematica circle didn't go past half the raider drop Shute. I dont know if its my server's game rules or plugins? Solved: I put my game on hard mode and it worked, thanks!
It still "works" in 1.19 BUT somethings going wrong and the raid will only spawn ravengers, basic pillagers, and vindicators i think, meaning you will no longer be able to recieve totems, redstone, sugar, glowstone, or bottles from this farm. I think it also spawns much less of them too. Hoping for an updated design that fixes this soon! Update: Easy mode makes raids easy. Set to hard for best results.
No problems here at all. Explained well what everything does instead of just speedbuilding. Just listen to this guy, he knows stuff. ;-) I built this in my world, with some item sorting system underneath the slabs because of the amount of items. Its sick. I now have more totems than ever and about a stack of emerald blocks, and i was standing there for like 30 minutes, dropping down the hole and got elevated up. It's so much fun, and you should built this in our world too. Liked and subscribed
Wow, it was difficult to make it in Survival but it worth it, now i got a chess full of emeralds and a lot of Totem of undying. Thank you so much it works 100% for 1.20
This is a hard mode/ Hardcore farm, if you use this farm in any other mode you will NOT get Totems, Redstone , Glowstone, Gunpowder, Potions, Sticks, Spider eyes or Sugar because Evokers and Witches don't spawn in raids that are not in hard mode/hardcore. And you will not get as many emeralds out side of hard mode/hardcore because the raids are smaller . BUT if used in hard mode/ hardcore it works perfectly! (and it also works in 1.19) Hope this was useful :)
Hi logical had a question, I built the raid farm perfectly and I can go get the bad omen from the outpost and then fight a wave, but I don't get bad omen again? Can you help?
"For those who don't get the Bad Omen effect. Move your villager down one level to stand at level 65. Then the farm will work as shown in the video. Tested on a multiplayer server with 40+ people."
@@reycarlos1190 I made it mostly out of deepslate because glass is expensive lmao, just make sure you cover all the solid blocks surfaces with either slabs or glass, specially on the spawning platform, let me know if you need more info maybe i can send you a screenshot.
Please read edit. Do the directions (north, south, etc) you use need to be the same or can they be different directions? Thanks Edit: I rewatched the video and figured that they will only have one block to spawn on (basically i built it in the wrong direction) will this one block be enough or will it break the farm. Also, i put glass on the solid blocks in the redstone, so theoretically it’ll just limit it to one block
Can u add a layer with boat to capture mobs for captain banner. So the farm can be restarted again by killing captured captain. The farm has same principle like Ianxfour which fully afk able and macro but this design is practical and could gather more mobs. Good job
I think this design is quite similar to ianxofour’s design, but the tripwire addition is very nice as it makes it a little simpler and more fool proof, you can probably adapt the best parts of each design to your needs and make a very nice early game raid farm.
I tested it on 1.19. For some reason the pillagers were dying when they hit the ground. My solution was moving the killing chamber some blocks up (3 in this case). I also followed the @digishield tip and moved the villager one block lower, but I'm not sure if that's necessary in my case. Overall it works so freaking well. Thank u so much!
Great video! I'm having an issue with the build where some of the waves try to spawn on the 3 uncovered solid blocks near the redstone (including the one the tripwire hook is on). When I cover those blocks with glass, the raid will often fail to spawn all the waves or will fail to spawn at all. I used the schematic & all blocks are placed in the correct places.
Check the corner block is aligned with the x and z coordinate of the composter, and from that block check the spawning platform is in the east and south direction. Sounds like your composter and corner block might be not correctly line up. Importantly, check the south and east direction.
@@lioneldude Thanks! I know he mentioned the direction he was facing several times - but I wasn't aware it would break things if I did it differently. Derp!
Were you able to solve your issue. The same thing is happening for me. Was the direction actually important? I saw many messages saying it was not. Edit: I did a few things and its works 95% of the time now. I added a bed to the villager at the bottom, I moved the villager down 1 block, and I moved the waterlogged chest down 1 block. None of this really seemed to do much until I started rushing back to the top platform as quick as possible after dropping down on the chest. Getting back up asap makes all the waves spawn for me.

@@OnlyRedDino Naming a mob causes it to not despawn. The captains are the guys with the banner- when you kill one, you get the bad omen effect. If you leave one alive and name it, it should still be there when you want to restart the farm so you can get bad omen again.

I tried moving the villager down one block as another commenter suggested, but it didn't help. Any advice? Edit: it was previously working, before I built my storage, if that changes anything?
For me, the issue is that the bad omen is inconsistent. sometimes, I kill a banner guy and get no bad omen. however, 95% of the time I get it and am able to start the next round because there are many banner guys in one raid. I think the raiders need to be at least 112 blocks away from the village, not 96, to ensure getting bad omen. other farms want you to be way more than 96 blocks above the village.
Just done building this in 1.19. works as intended. I added a few extra boats on top of where the player is to attack the raid mobs as I had vex spawn and nearly kill me once.

Can you make a vid abt how to fix it???
You need to make sure you've been at it for at least 30 seconds after the last wave spawned. build a small clock that opens the trapdoor closing the drop chute if you need to.
Materials Needed:
923 Glass (Just under 14 and a half stacks)
112 Slabs (Rounded up 2 stacks)
24 Signs
22 Trapdoors
16 Comparators
16 Redstone Dust
16 Repeaters
15 Building Blocks (Be sure mobs are able to spawn on them)
7 Stairs
5 Chests
5 String
3 Iron Bars
3 Torches
2 Hoppers
2 Fence Gates
2 Trip Wire Hooks
1 Composter (Or any Villager job block)
1 Lava Bucket
1 Carpet
1 Redstone Torch
1 Soul Sand
1 Villager (Make sure it's not a Nitwit)
14 Boats of any kind
(In all you will need about 1 and a half shulker boxes)
Hope this helps!
This is a ridiculously simple way of building a raid farm, I used to never bother because of the complexity some people made it with. Thanks for also explaining it all so I know if I've made any errors in the farm, you earned a like 👍
Where do i put the composter... im so confused with the way he explained subchunks... does it matter?
@@FatherofOrpheus Sorry for the late reply but the subchunks dont really matter as long as you use the coords and the distances he gives you in the video. You can use the subchunks to reaffirm your coords but the coords of the composter is the important one. 18:49 This should help, but just use the exact spacing he gives and you should be fine
Logicalgeekboy has some of the BEST simple versions of otherwise complex farms. The most annoying is probably the wither skele one because of the spawn proofing if the whole despawn sphere isnt in a soul sand valley. Those damn ghasts man
@⬆️ in the wrong Hm maybe go through the video again, the WHOLE video because there might be something you missed. If it is boring just play it at x2 speed - there has bound to be something wrong. Also, look through the comments to find if there are any answers :)

I had an issue where pillagers were dying from fall damage in Java 1.18. I fixed this by adding an additional hopper to my build at 22:07. Stack it ontop of the hopper that he places to save the pillagers from dying from fall damage.
That could also potentially at least partially be related to entity cramming
Thank you! It fixed the issue in my farm on 1.19 java!
Villager trading hall always the first thing i do once ive got a food source established. Basically secure a bed, wheat farm, cow crusher, campfire, then start strip mining lol just live in the mine till you have the stone and wood to build a building for a villager breeder lol i totally skip the starter house and iron armor

Emerald time!
i love you
this was super helpful, thx sir Lippes
I think you need to move the killing platform until it's at least 112 blocks above the village. 96 blocks away cannot guarantee the bad omen.
Alternatively, you can move your villager lower into the ocean, towards the ocean floor, instead of moving the whole farm up. that's way easier.
@@fortun8diamond then you must also lower the location of the chest you land on to restart the raid

A lot of the different farms and content i've seen are hard and i need to watch it back a lot.

Can u add a layer with boat to capture mobs for captain banner. So the farm can be restarted again by killing captured captain.
The farm has same principle like Ianxfour which fully afk able and macro but this design is practical and could gather more mobs. Good job
They say that a good lawyer never asks a question they don't already know the answer to. You would make a good lawyer 🤣
I think this design is quite similar to ianxofour’s design, but the tripwire addition is very nice as it makes it a little simpler and more fool proof, you can probably adapt the best parts of each design to your needs and make a very nice early game raid farm.
question, do you keep getting bad omen after the raid has finished? i dont seem to get the bad omen again. if you know a fix lmk :)

The explanation makes it so much better than to just blindly copy someone's raid farm. Great video!!!

For me, the issue is that the bad omen is inconsistent. sometimes, I kill a banner guy and get no bad omen. however, 95% of the time I get it and am able to start the next round because there are many banner guys in one raid.
