Fighting words! And we love every one of them… Kidding, we have huge respect for those guys and girls. Adam and Sam worked with many of them back in CarAdvice days
Maric, even after several years to learn about automotive journalism, technical details, relevant technology, and video production,@@candlelarbra5212, continues to make claims and give advice, that's factually wrong. His presentation is of the not uncommon variety, that is 'winging it' with confidence - but without preparation. His videos demonstrate a failure to consider his audience. We want and deserve more than a smooth voice and smiley face. We're also seeking accuracy, details, and some coherence to the overall production. When Morris first started ReDr, he fumbled a few things, assumed a few points, and his presentation could be a bit scattered - trying a little too hard at times. BUT Adam's work, and the channel overall, have improved _greatly._ Maric seems to have never reconsidered what he's done - or how to improve his work. It's as inaccurate and over-confident', as it ever was. 🙂
The LS 430, It is one of the best ever built. But Lexus does build cars (up until 2018) that shone the light on pretenders. Now, after that, 4cylinders ($ savings)and battery assist, lower power, cheaper everything and no longer a stand alone. I own the last Japanese ES V6 2GR-FE Ultra Luxury sport with full executive pack (built for Australia) It is Heaven in the crazy World of Beeps, Bings Bells and whistles. Serenity be thy name and by button select, OFF!
Your G70 video hit at just the right time for me and gave me the confidence to purchase one. I could not be happier. Thank you for a great year and looking forward to seeing you grow in 2025!
Congrats Gents, on another great year of content, all the way from Canada. The 'what goes wrong' along with the drive and build quality insights is invaluable. You're doing something unique here and it is greatly appreciated!
Hello from England. I'm absolutely delighted that my beloved BMW M140i got the thumbs up. I've owned this car for over 7 years, and it has never let me down. It is an absolute peach. I'm never selling it. Keep up the excellent work and best wishes for 2025 to you and all your viewers.
You don't have to sort through the chaff to get the wheat... it's all good stuff with great humour and real knowledge thrown in. My favourite channel, thanks
Wishing you the best for 2025 - hope the audience continues to grow. To be honest I didn't think I was a car person at all until I found myself watching your channel so often(!)
Thanks for a great 2024, it’s because of your IS300 video that I was confident in buying a top spec 2017 IS300h in June as a “I will own this for 10 plus years car” Thanks!
Fantastic choice. I've driven 2015 model 4 years now. Excellent car in every aspect. Naturally nothing major has gone wrong and its a great driving car. Underrated.
YES! I knew you'd pick it as the biggest surprise! My daily driver, I'm proud 2 random Australians pick this as their biggest surprise :) Here's a free thumbs up.
Great channel guys, keep it up, always look forward to hearing what you both have to say. Still love my Stinger, wouldn't change it for anything right now, awesome vehicle, think it should have got a mention, my opinion of course.
I’ve got a friend who works for Hyundai and he said the genesis brand this year has only sold around 560 cars. That is absolute madness. Genesis are making some of the nicest luxury cars on the market currently
Live in Qatar but this channel has been super helpful as there’s a decent amount of overlap between Aussie contextual factors in deciding on a car and the Middle East.
This has become my go to Australia based car channel. It's needed as Europe and the USA are very different places socially and option wise. Most people here can't drown themselves in debt so having more realistic ( mostly ) reviews is great. Also having a mechanics opinion is something most do not offer and is important to most planning long term ownership.
Another NC virtue - GREAT fuel economy! Averaged just 6.6L/100kms in the 3 years I owned my Roadster Coupe, and got mid-5s on the highway on many occasions. Another great video, Guys. 🙂👍
Bought an Alfa Giulia recently because of the review. Saw a beautiful clean example with 40k km but was worried about long term reliability because of the stereotype. The review definitely swayed me to get it.
@healthabundanceforever4222 it does actually, thanks. Once I saw it in person and test drove it, it's just hard to pass up. Even around town so much more fun than the German or Japanese rivals.
The Genesis G70 is my dream car. I can't believe people snob them because they belong to Hyundai. It's 100% brand snobbery. Just like my Ssangyong Musso 2021 Ultimate XLV. People scoff at it until they get in and go for a drive. Many friends (Ford Ranger drivers) bagged me when I said what I was getting, now after many warranty issues and going for a ride in it have thought again.
You guys really helped to convince me to get a Giulia in the future. It seems to be the car that hits all the marks for what I'm looking for, and I'm glad y'all covered it.
Love your work. Thanks. A little puzzled that you have some of the same cars in both the worst and best of the year! It gets us talking, eh? Have a great 2025
Awesome vid fella's. Thanks for all the entertainment throughout the year.. Marry Christmas to you both and all the best for the coming year ahead.. With the truck issue I don't have a big truck but those people who get so angry at someone else's choice of car needs to get a life.. I would love to have a drive of one..
This is one of the only channel that doesn't underrate Lexus cars. Every major automotive channel always bash Lexus as they are "poor driving cars", "performance is lacking", "driving dynamics are dull" "they are outdated" etc. etc. But they have the legendary build quality(unmatched IMO) and reliability, and superb comfort, not mention they are bar-none in ownership experience. I still would like to try out owning Giulia. They are such beautiful cars and I guess more reliable nowadays.
Gosh I'm loving these videos especially the range of cars getting reviewed. Car like Hyundai Getz is getting mentioned, that shows the extent of the research abd script writing
Well done guys, I’ve been a long time viewer since you reviewed the Nissan 370Z (my current daily), currently considering something more comfortable with decent power. So your review of the Genesis G70 took my interest, I knew the brand but not the model range. Been doing way too much UA-cam research 😂 and am very keen to get into one, and now it’s your car of the year, have you checked the used online sales availability lately, only 4x v6 tt nationally. Seems like you have created plenty of awareness, great for the car bad for me 😅,luckily there’s no hurry for the right car. Keep up the great work in 2025. Cheers
Can you guys please review the Hyundai Elantra SR Turbo? Have a 2017 and it'll genuinely suprise you in how quick and well rounded it is, they're very underrated imo
I’ve driven one of these, including a 7hr drive through the NSW Snowy Mountains. My nomination for most surprising and now I get it. Not perfect, but very underrated
gotta agree with Alex about Genesis and the G70. Genesis are objectively doing the luxury experience thing better than the big 3 German brands for comparatively a lot less money too! Everything from the materials used in the g70 3.3T (Napa leather and suede headliner, aluminium speaker grills etc) as standard -- which can't even be optioned in the BMW 340/440i, as well as the driving dynamics and design (subjective I know) to the complimentary after sales support (genesis will pick up and drop off another genesis loan vehicle and they come with 5 years free scheduled servicing and roadside assistance).
If you like the G70, I have a GV70 you can borrow for a test - just need to get yourself over to Canada. Extra bonus, you can thoroughly test its snow performance and HVAC in -25C temps! (Tip, both are excellent)
Hi Sarah, great video! I agree with your comment, regarding Volvo not making the 5 and 6 cylinder motors anymore. I have a 2014/15 V60 T 6 r- design wagon with the last of the 3.0 litre inline six turbos. Its is such a good motor especially as it is Polestar enhanced...242kw/325hp. Good to see Volvo still making Station wagons.
I'll admit that I wave the proverbial Redriven flag when it comes to helping people out when they're looking for a buying a car and I wouldn't do it if I didn't believe in what you guys were doing. Only car that surprised me being a winner was the RAM especially with how they look, the Denhali being especially extroverted in looks but the reasoning makes sense. The Genesis G70 or G80 are 2 cars I'd love too own as to me they have Aston Martin styling and luxury with Hyundai-Kia reliability and I think that's what's drawn me to them. Hope you all had a Merry and safe Christmas guys and look forward to Sunday's video as per usual 👍.
I bought the Mazda 6 sedan and I can tell you exactly why not the wagon....$$$$$. The wagons command a ridiculous premium on the used market for the same spec (at least up here in brissy)
IKR I had to source my 2016 Mazda 6 wagon from NSW, in Brissy a worse one was nearly 5K more back in 2021. Ok fine we know what event was happening then but they really are a “buy and hold” purchase, they are that good in my experience.
Hey guys, great round up for the year. Totally agree with the Giulia,NC MX5 and R35 GTR. The MX5 would be the only car that might tempt me out of my Honda CRZ. Have had it for 10 months, hasn’t put a foot wrong reminds of what driving is about. And a 7 year old gen4 Prius again apart from tyres and a 12volt battery, nothing outside of regular servicing. Every six months like clockwork. Looking forward to your cars and coffee event your planning. All the best for the new year.
I discovered your channel last week while searching for a new used car. I loved how your videos were detailed but still short, that you defer to an actual mechanic for the reliability part of the video. And most importantly you weren’t like many other car reviewers who are trying to be super cool and funny the whole time and it’s just cringy and fake. Great job. P.S. you helped me avoid a t cross and I bought a cx5 instead.
I have probably said it before but I will say it again I have one customer who has a fleet of Hyundai Getz for his postal contractor business. He is the one person who breaks the mold because I have to tow a Getz every now and again. But these things get an inhumane absolute flogging over some awful roads for hundreds of thousands of kilometres before we have to tow them.
Glad to see the G70 on your list of favs. You have equal praise for the new GV70? Just bought a 2025 G 70 Advanced and we feel like we are riding in a Bentley. 😎
Great channel Ive been watching every video for a year now! Fully agree with the GMC story, I used to hate in rams and f 150s suddenly I love em. Also Mazda 6 definitely best car of the year for 99% of people. And the Genesis is also very cool.
Yes the Geneses G70 as a shooting brake or the Crown or the Lexus. Never mind about the GMC, drive an F600 Ford...bloody hell if you want "in your face" this is the wheels. The MX5 is a great car but I have MG disease and I am so happy that you didn't take the MGTF 160 for a run. And then there is the Kia Stinger, yum. BMW were great once, so was Mercedes-Benz but they have both kicked the engineers off the design and put bloody accountants in charge. Four wheel drive like the Patrol sound like a good way to go but I could not see me in any one of them. Great year guys, thanks for the videos, look forward to your work next year.
as a fellow toyota/lexus fanboy, the genesis g70 video made me actually consider getting one (used, v6) over the RC350 fsport for my next car. Still a bit hesitant because of potential catastrophic dct gearbox failure but the driving experience is so much better than the RC.
After having an RC350 F sport Rear Wheel Drive for 7 1/2 years go with the RC. The Genesis build quality is rubbish. Take a look at the welds on the exhaust then compare it to the Lexus. The Lexus is still bullet proof and yet mine is a 2016 model. Get a professional quad stainless steel exhaust installation done though as it really wakes up the 3.5 litre engine. I would suggest not getting a model of the Lexus past 2017 though as they started putting too much annoying passive and annoying safety crap on them. The Genesis is full of annoying beep and bongs. Avoid.
I have had a Genesis GV70 since December 2021. Build quality is excellent. No issues whatsoever. 2.2 diesel with 8 speed auto. No CVT or DCT transmission.

fun fact about your channel: wagons are absolute monstrosities that only exist to fill the void old gods death had left
So happy to see this channel grow over the years, Redriven deserves every bit of success and recognition! Keep up the great works gents!!
Agreed. Anyone can review new cars on a press launch in Spain
I’m not even Aussie but I like watching just to know how the car community is going down there.😂
This is the best automotive channel I've discovered this year.
This channel is everything that Car Expert wishes it could be.
Fighting words!
And we love every one of them…
Kidding, we have huge respect for those guys and girls. Adam and Sam worked with many of them back in CarAdvice days
daddy paul better not hear you say that
Car Expert reviews used cars?
What's the beef with CarExpert?

Tears of pride to see my LS get a mention. Thanks for a great year of entertainment and advice gents. All the best for 2025!

Also a LS430 driver here. Very pleased to see you like it. I wouldn’t trade mine for anything.
Weird seeing the channel that led to me now owning 2 San Martins featuring in the comments of my car channel, your LS is immaculate!
I own both an LS 400 and LS430. Both are sublime, the only alternative for me is a Century.
Thanks for the no BS reviews in 2024. Keep it coming guys 👍
No BS? the guy of the right is just BS.
Thank you guys, you were a big part of my Nissan 370z purchase this year because of the awesome review you gave it and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks
Thank you as always. Lexus GX550 is my dream car from just right now!
Thanks for your unique UA-cam channel. Stands had and shoulders above the new car channels. Practical fun content. 🎉
Hello from England. I'm absolutely delighted that my beloved BMW M140i got the thumbs up. I've owned this car for over 7 years, and it has never let me down. It is an absolute peach. I'm never selling it.

ALFA: absolutely : finally a car that has a great design in 2025; and it has to be in red
Misano Blue is a really close second though, and it will have less fading problems in warmer/sunnier climates.
I’ve got a Stelvio Quattroformaggio in Montreal green. My lord, I got positive comments every time I take it out.
@@healthabundanceforever4222 Also a solid pick! What kind of fuel consumption do you get with the Q in Stelvio form?
ALFA: RED.
Wishing you the best for 2025 - hope the audience continues to grow. To be honest I didn't think I was a car person at all until I found myself watching your channel so often(!)
Hello from Germany, love your reviews thanks to you now I am looking at Lexus RX450h and not a BMW X5
dude, yeah,,, the lexus is awesome,,,,, even better than the beemer
Good choice 👌
Ich hab mir letzte Woche einen gebrauchten Einstiegs Lexus gekauft und bin absolut begeistert.
Natürlich hier erst das review geschaut.
Smart move
Thanks for a great 2024, it’s because of your IS300 video that I was confident in buying a top spec 2017 IS300h in June as a “I will own this for 10 plus years car”
Thanks!
Fantastic choice. I've driven 2015 model 4 years now. Excellent car in every aspect. Naturally nothing major has gone wrong and its a great driving car. Underrated.
Thanks for all your content this year, terrific stuff lads.
great works guys, appreciate ALL the videos you pumped out this year and looking forward to ReDriven in 2025
I discovered you guys this year and now I hang out for every new video. Love your work, all the best in 2025
Congrats on 300,000 subscribers and 55,000,000 total views
I really enjoy the way this channel presents vehicles. I learn so much and just enjoy watching it so much. Thank You.
COTY- I'm with Adam. Genesis are fantastic. I've driven the GV70, G80 and G70 and they are amazing. My personal pick though is the G80.
Agree. They make most of the volume stuff from the three Germans look pretty average.
@@cthorno2991 but they use a very outdated Kia Stinger engine
Been following you guys since the start. Great to see you going from strength 2 strength. Keep up the great work and all the best in 2025!
Y'all are the reason I got my Genesis G70 :) keep up the great work!
Good taste. I wish the 3.5 made it to Europe 🥹
Another awesome vid. Classic Aussie finish with that fly buzzing around.
So happy to see you guys at nearly 300k subscribers :)
Only subscribed this year. I'm glad I did. Thank you for your knowledgeable and fun content happy holiday's to you both.
best car review site on the internet thanks guys another stellar year for you I hope your site continues with such great content
From Trinidad in the Caribbean. Well done guys!!!. Hoping the New Year bring you guys much prosperity.
Stumbled across you Aussies, now one of my go to channels. Keep up the great work gentlemen, have a Happy New Year, from one of your UK chapter.
Thanks guys for the quality of your videos and information.
i reckon "Ruined by association" should be its own category. In fact its own video. So many to choose from.
Thank you and happy new year to all the Redriven team. Thanks also for NOT being hypnotised by German brand snobbery. Keep up the great work.
Well done guys, keep up the great work.
im proud to say ive been watching since late 2020 , love the videos and cant wait for whats to come next year
Love the channel Guys and Gal's. Nearly cracking the 300k subs. All the best for 2025 from Melbourne 👌🦖
Bought an Alfa Giulia recently because of the review. Saw a beautiful clean example with 40k km but was worried about long term reliability because of the stereotype. The review definitely swayed me to get it.
Welcome to the Alfa club.
I have owned 6 Alfas in a row.
I hope that helps.
@healthabundanceforever4222 it does actually, thanks. Once I saw it in person and test drove it, it's just hard to pass up. Even around town so much more fun than the German or Japanese rivals.
Great show guys. Love from South Africa
you guys will grow to 1 million subs in no time no doubt, keep up the good work and represent Aussie in car reviewing. Cheers!
The Genesis G70 is my dream car. I can't believe people snob them because they belong to Hyundai. It's 100% brand snobbery. Just like my Ssangyong Musso 2021 Ultimate XLV. Such an enjoyable video, so rapt the i20n and the Genesis AND the Getzy got into the show ❤❤❤
Great content as always. 300k subscribers and just getting started. 👍
That Genesis shooting brake is a car both my partner and I lust after, we've got a mazda6 wagon which is great but wow, the genesis looks awesome.
No doubt one of the best and most helpful car channel 🙌🏼
Love your work. Thanks. A little puzzled that you have some of the same cars in both the worst and best of the year! It gets us talking, eh? Have a great 2025

gotta agree with Alex about Genesis and the G70. Genesis are objectively doing the luxury experience thing better than the big 3 German brands for comparatively a lot less money too! Four wheel drive like the Patrol sound like a good way to go but I could not see me in any one of them. Great year guys, thanks for the videos, look forward to your work next year.
Great work guys looking forward to seeing more reviews in 2025.
as a fellow toyota/lexus fanboy, the genesis g70 video made me actually consider getting one (used, v6) over the RC350 fsport for my next car. Still a bit hesitant because of potential catastrophic dct gearbox failure but the driving experience is so much better than the RC.
The Genesis doesn't have a DCT. 8-speed standard auto, same as the Kia Stinger and many many other Hyundai/Kia cars
Avoid.
@@DEVILTAZ35 my budget is 40k so most likely will be 2014-2016 with 100k kms
@@DEVILTAZ35 first person I hear say build quality is poor on Genesis
I have had a Genesis GV70 since December 2021. Build quality is excellent. No issues whatsoever. 2.2 diesel with 8 speed auto. No CVT or DCT transmission.
