Bud Nesbitt (Beau Bridges): Get in the chair, Fred. ...The other chair. *workers pull a sheet off revealing a Multi-Axis Training chair* Fred Randall (Harland Williams): Sweet swirling onion rings!
Definitely my favorite! Was just telling my boyfriend about it and he couldn’t remember it so I had to come look it up. My favorite scene is the isolation chamber. I need to watch this again ASAP!
I don't know what was my better favorite "What's the most important thing at NASA children?""safety" then in comes Randal barreling through every one, or whn he ploughs buddy in the chair over and when he hits the ground gently grunts "ouch"
It could be added one day, heck last November they added Ernest Saves Christmas and it was in HD for the very first time. It’s all about patience cause Disney has been *slowly* adding some of their movies and shows bit by bit.
The score is sooo good in this scene! I remember rewinding and watching this over and over because I loved the score. That's actually the reason why I watched this clip again haha.
I actually got my bestfriend to puke on the 'Liverwurst and head cheese sandwich' line. After we sprinted a couple blocks, after I said that line and patted his back; he puked behind a bush near a gas station. He never saw this movie but his reaction was spot on.
There was a song titled "I Wanna Be an Astronaut." playing at that Blastoff bar as Fred Randall (Harland Williams) had those many shots of liquor and then was dancing drunk in a space suit replica at that bar.
These are the true astronauts they are really in outer space so I'm thankful for this movie because they instruct me about being in outer space and I was very serious when I go out there but I don't know what they do out there I am not a I don't study it and guess about things that I don't know about.
3:03 And that is how you effectively kill an astronaut trainee. 3:25 Scratch that. Make that two trainees. (AND, mentally scar a bunch of children I'm the process.)
Beau Bridges is so underrated. Of course, I may be biased because I LOVED his role as General Landry, CO of the SGC, over on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis!
The music to this scene reminds me a lot of "Gopak" from the Gayane Suite by Aram Khachaturian; in the fact that it starts out all calm and merry, then gradually (and quickly) builds into this obnoxious, super-fast, super-fun, hysterical *MESS...* 🤪🤪🤪
@William Dearth Gotcha! I actually just played this piece against the climactic "runaway carousel" scene of Alfred Hitchcock's *"Strangers on a Train..."* It was *delightfully* macabre lol...
@@jmiller297 I never watched that flick. But there was an ep of Modern Family spoofing that. Strangers on a Treadmill. Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) was against Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) walking around in bike shorts. And Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) was against Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) planning to use those bad jokes at a ceremony. But since neither seem to have the guts to speak up about that, they decide to have them switch their roles. Claire tries to convince Cameron to lose the bike shorts. And Mitchell tries to convince Phil to not use those bad jokes. Those attempts didn't work out and Cameron was even more shocked when he overhears a phone call Mitchell had with Claire and realized he put her up to this.
Melhor cena kkkkkk Lembro ate hoje esse filme dando no tela de sucessos sexta a noite e eu rindo alto demais e minha mae falando que queria durmir. HAHAHAHAHAHA
I used to be best friends with the blonde kid in the front of the schoolkids. He told me they were actually screaming at a tennis ball attached to a stick. The more you know.
He was starting to recover from his injury. He might have been ready to do it. But bad timing, Fred Randall collided with him and greatly injured him again.
"Have fun."
"Haha, Fun is my Chinese neighbor's middle name."
😂
One of the funniest lines of the movie!
It’s probably pronounced “foon.”
I died watching this as a kid with that perfectly timed.
"And what's the most important thing at NASA children?"
"SAFETY!"
*BOOOOOOM!*
“Our Father who art in Heaven…Aaaaahhh!!!”
@@ahbrando Here we go, Gary. Be brave, huh? Why don't you try walking?
Agreed, that scene was hilarious when I saw it years ago when I was a kid.
I’m happy that Disney Movie Club has this film in their catalog.
@@ishgria2591 ouch?
😂😂😂😂😂
“Give it a Little gas! Yee-haw! Faster, FASTER!! WHOOOO WHOO-WHOO-WHOOO!! … MOOOOMMMYY! I-WANT-MY-MOMMY!”

SLOW DOWN!
"THAT'S ENOUGH!"
That part where he flies past the nuns and does the cross had me dying 😂😂😂
can't beat the classics, i love this scene so much!!!
3:08 Our father who art in heaven try saying that at 90 miles an hour
I'd be praying long before I was going that fast.
Apparently, he did. Pulled it off comically.
Did you mean 90 times fast? No.
If you look closely, you can see there's actually a train track built into the floor in that moment.
Thank you for being like the ONLY commenter to mention that bit, lol.
Next scene: "I ran into Gary".
I love that line!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bud Nesbitt (Beau Bridges): Get in the chair, Fred. ...The other chair. *workers pull a sheet off revealing a Multi-Axis Training chair*

Mission Space at Disney World (Epcot) is basically a less intense version of this.
Just don’t eat first before doing it
I’d never go on that. The vertigo would kill me.
Join your local Air Force lol
I waited for years for this to come out on DVD. I watched it over and over on VHS.
e na net como faço p encontrar o filme
And now it's on blu-ray!
This guy is so talented. It was so wrong he didn’t do more films.
That was a funny part "I WANT MY MOMMY!!!"
I wish this was on Dinsey Plus, I miss the 90s goofy feel good movies.

Best part is the prayer he starts as he fly's passed the kids.
I like that part When Gary says in a squeeky voice "Ouch" that should have been used in other slap stick comedy movies.
2:55 we have lift off
I'm so glad other people remember how great this movie was. :) Even when I was a kid, no one knew it existed.
This movie might be top 5 most underrated comedies.

MOOOOOOMMYYYY!!!! I WANT MY MOMMY!!!!! XDDDDD
Harland Williams could've played the geeky janitor in The Toxic Avenger (1984)
i was raised with this! :D
I used to watch that movie back in seventh grade. The whole time he was whooping and yelling and going faster literally got me. 😂
3:05 My reaction after riding Space Mountain for the first time

This is the best film
Much respect for the stunt men.... Also, I totally wanna ride in one of these.
Been looking for this cip
Forget being an astronaut, I'd just be happy riding in one of those things.
In Gordon's defense I'd probably throw up at the thought of a liverworst and head cheese sandwich too without having gone for a ride
Woohoo!' Wooooooooooooaaaaaaaah!'

Accelerando is how that can be referred to in music.
Accel is an abbreviated version of that.

Randall, how many fingers am I holding up?
