Awesome....subtitles would take it up a notch! Also, if you can list some of his recordings for those who would like to purchase some of that great 70s music....thx.
Magaling sa jazz si Jun. Influenced by greats Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa and Hal Blaine - the most recorded U.S. drummer in the 50s onwards. Basta may live shows or big concerts in the 70s to the 90s, sino man ang singer at musical director, laging nasa rhythm section ang tandem na Regalado & Herrera.
Pls do a video about roger herrera, he died that he never have, in my opinion, the popularity or should i say the recognition he truly deserve as one of the best or the best bass player our country has produced. He is known only to quite a few people. Just like mang jun, he is the most in demand bass player in opm be it in live or studio session work back in the day. Siya ang ka tandem ni mang jun sa mga recordings. The basslines of vst and co were his.
Oo nga noh? Back in the day, the OPM equivalent of the Wrecking Crew would always be Roger on bass, Jun on drums, with the late Rudy Lozano on guitars and varying pianists, organists, and keyboardists. A video about the great Roger Herrera will finally give him the recognition he deserved to have. Sad to say nga that we lost him a decade ago. He was 80.
@@intradibles thanks sir. I research about roger herrera because of my fascination about who's the guy who played bass for vst and co. and other artist during the 70s and 80s like haji, rico j, basil and countless others. Kung ang Motown may james jamerson, we here in the philippines have roger herrera. Also menchu apostol session guitarist siya na magaling na hinahangaan ng ating mga magagaling na gitarista like cesar aguas, noel mendez, pido lalimarmo etc. Matagal na rin siya pumanaw 1997 p ata. But anyway thanks for granting my request atleast marecognized man lang ng mga opm music fans ang malaking contribution nya sa opm music. Salamat ulit
Grabe 2hrs lng isang kanta tapos time pa ng tape yung gamit 😅 samantalang ngayong digital na, isang kanta lang kulang ang 2hrs sa recording. Pag may mali pwede i edit agad.. yung time nila kelangan retake pag mali. Kaya nakakabilib yung mga katulad nilang musicians dati.
I remember the funk-pop-band "Please" from Manila, who recorded and toured in Germany and later in England around 1975-1976. Mindblowing brass section. And that young drummer was killing. ua-cam.com/video/0FaTj1gJlPE/v-deo.html

In the late 70s and early 80s Maestro Jun Regalado was also known as the "Steve Gadd" of the Philippines.

The great Jun Regalado and the late great Roger Herrera are the grooviest drummer and bassist tandem in Philippine history. Absolute legends 🙌🏻
i always wonder who's behind the bass lines of vst & co., coz they're so good and groovy.
So si Sir Roger ang gumagawa ng bass line ng songs ng VST back then?
