    Good to finally see a review of this from someone, Una could do with a bit more exposure as they seem to still be very under the radar despite it being out a while, which is a shame as I've had mine for many months now, along with the pillow they do, and think it's been a very good (and hopefully long-lasting) investment.

      Good to hear real world experiences. They are certainly serious with what they are trying to achieve. The owner has actually spent years dealing with organic mattress with a different company.

    Really good informative video, in all my research on latex mattresses on you tube, your video did not come up at all, i had to go searching for this particular brand, which, after asking a question of a guy in America, Natural mattress finder, he gave me a link to this UK company, which i had never heard of before.
    I was looking for this type of latex, put together yourself mattress, which are plentiful in America, but virtually unheard of in the UK or Ireland. Thanks again Alan for answering questions i had not even thought to ask yet. Well Done, Fantastic review.

    Another great review Alan and one that I had been anticipating at that. Do you know what their returns policy is? Also, I was wondering if you were aware of any hybrid / spring and natural latex beds as I have been looking for something natural yet with the added spring buoyancy.

    • @alanrossreviews
      @alanrossreviews  4 роки тому

      nothing i have actually tried. so far i have been sticking to online only. You can of course add a bit of feel of spring with a sprung slatted base. una is a 100 night trial. only thing of note is they ask you to keep the packaging during that time in case you want to send it back.

    Very helpful review, thanks.
    I don't like firm mattresses but want to get an natural mattress and was looking at latex, so this seems perfect.
    Configurable, for both sleepers.
    All natural, organic.
    Should be cooler than memory foam.
    I wonder if the graphite content makes it softer, seems that may be the case.
    That should help conduct heat away too.
    The only thing is for the double and king etc. you have to have the top comfort layer at the top to avoid the gap. Hopefully that doesn't hinder customisation too much.
    Should be better for sex than a memory foam etc.
    I don't like how memory foam really moulds around ones body, it feels weird.
    Cheers

    Thank you for a great review! I wish you did Demko mattress review too, another natural latex mattress that has coir layers too. I’m deciding between these 2 brands but unlike Una, Demko’s trial isn’t as straight forward so I don’t feel as confident. However their product description seems promising and possibly even better than Una. Have you come across Demko?

    Also worth noting that having two halves should reduce motion transfer?
    Best of both worlds.
    Responsiveness of latex but with less transfer to the other half and ones partner.
    I'm just assuming that, but I would expect it to make a difference.

    I saw one that "Dunlopillo’s mattress and pillow collection made from only 100% Natural Latex." I guess that means somewhere between 95-100% real natural latex. I haven't really come across any UK Talalay 100% natural latex mattresses. It doesn't really specify the densities. I do love their latex pillows so am researching a latex mattress. It would be good if you tried one for comparison. I assume the soft configuration is with the soft on top, then medium then firm. What is the firm configuration? Do the layers stay stuck together very well or do they move about in time? I'm not sure I really like the idea of 6 layers moving about independently in a super king mattress. Doesn't seem like the structural integrity would be good and you may get gaps forming or edges wearing.

    Oh blimey, I've got a nectar and I'm a 90kg side sleeper and find it too firm and it gives me a bad back. I sleep best on a softer mattress and sleep very well on the hypnos premier inn mattresses...I considered buying one but I have all kinds allergies and wanted to explore latex...bit concerned though maybe it won't be much softer than my nectar 🥴

    Ace review mate👍I've tried a simba , otty and now a nectar which is killing me so its going back ! I am a side sleeper 92kg and all these beds just give me pressure point pain on shoulders and hips after about hour of sleep. So I am just tossing all night , do you think the latex could be the answer? . Feel like I have had no sleep for two years 🤣😫help 🙏

    • @alanrossreviews
      @alanrossreviews  3 роки тому +1

      if you feel like youre not sinking in enough the answer might be a topper. for me i ended up with the ergoflex and a 3 inch topper. the question is how does the firmness levels of these mattresses feel to you? pressure point on shoulders suggests you need softer so hugge might be an option. latex has a lot of pushback which might be an issue.

    Alan, I picked a mattress, or 5 actually! Cheers for all your suggestions, I went with the Casper original. Great and up to 70 ish nights no real problems. Approaching the 100 night free trial I thought best try a few more... Eve Premium, rock solid, too firm. Nectar next, better, more memory foamy, not as soft as Casper I thought. Next up Leesa, oh boy. Softer and more adaptive than Casper. Went back to Casper, definitely not as soft as Leesa, Capser bouncier I'd say though. Casper has some softness but you're on top of the mattress, it's not as adaptive round your body. Still in box and yet to try Emma... Will try it this week and reply back. I couldn't see the Emma Hybrid online, reached out to them on online chat and they've stopped doing the Hybrid he says. So we'll see how the Emma original compares. Context: 11st, side sleeper. Current winner I reckon is Leesa.

      wow, youre teaching me stuff now :) so your firmess findings not same as mine, could mean things have changed again with some of them or me being heavier i wear them in quicker. Hi there, with the firmest combination, does it support your low back enough and your hips ( some mattresses sink too much under the hips area ), or does it push back ? I’ve never tried a latex mattress. I slept on my tempur original for 17 years, but I need to change it now. I’ve tried the new version of the tempur original but it’s no good. It sinks too much under the hips, not enough under the shoulders. I’m a combi sleeper ( side and back) with back and joints pain…
