I am nostalgic. I used to fly on this same route Hyderabad- Rajamundry- Vizag- Jeypore- Bhubaneshwar and back to Hyderabad by the same route as an On board Engineer in the year 1986-87 (36 years back) in a 19 seater Dornier 228 Aircraft operated by Vayudoot Airlines. Those days there were about a 100 operational airports in lndia operated by Indian Airlines and Vayudoot Airlines. Most of those small airports had closed down during the end of 90s . Again after so many years they have started operations in these sectors.

Being from damanjodi ,this plane VT-HJS flies daily over my house twice a day. My dad had been on it a couple of times on PYB-BBI sector. Yet, the excitement is always the same and the images are breathe taking. We even have a nick name for this plane xD. A long dream and demand for south odisha people has been fulfillled finally.

number on runway represents degrees, 28 is 280 degrees in compass. 90 degrees or 9 number is runway to east, 180 degrees or 18 to south, 27 is to west. Vizag runway is 10 degrees north of west i.e 270+10=280 degrees or 28. Therefore you approach from sea which in east side of vizag.

If these "micro" flights can sustain and the airline breaks even, it will be a great step for the Indian aviation industry. In the past several airlines connecting tyre 2 cities could not survive. I am sure the airline management has a robust business plan in place. They can consider add on services like sightseeing/tourism or even courier or parcel services. All the best.
Airline dont break easily if all fleets are cessna caravan , It can easily convertible to cargo planes or sky diving unlike jet airlines A320, B737. Also use less fuel than smaller aircrafts like ATR and Q400 used by Spicejet and indigo

Thanks for the video. I belong to Odisha and such connectivity will definitely help. I feel whenever you travel by bus or flight or train , add something about importance of that place/visit some tourist points in that place to make the video more meaningful.

Coimbatore Industrial Hub needs this kind of flights, From the Coimbatore to Thoothukudi via Madurai. Coimbatore to Cochin via Trichy. Coimbatore to Pondicherry.
coimbatore to kochi is short distance they can plan for coimbatore trivandrum

Thank you very much for this awesome cool flight journey video from Jeypore to Vizag. I felt like I travelled with you. Also I lived in Salur in AP which is the border town at AOB (Andhra Odisha Border). Buses from Vizag to Jeypore, Dhamanjodi, Naborangpore, Koraput cross the border on the beautiful and dangerous ghat roads on Easter ghats. The road journey from Vizag to Odisha and train journey from Vizag to Koraput (Kirandole passenger to Jagdhalpur)through tunnels too are a great experience.
Basically all three air, road and train journeys are great fun and enjoying experience between Andhra and Odisha.

Many of Vistaras' flights are old Jet Airways planes, they're very cramped & seats are hard. Would be great if you could research a bit & help people avoid inadvertently choosing those Vistara flights thinking they'll be comfortable.
Sorry for this, I just shared that Vistara is my fav and yes would share anything I feel bad about vistara if I do vlog in future

Btw, Vistaras' own planes are very good (making the experience better), but only the planes they acquired from Jet are poorly maintained and really cramped.
