Oasis Kathmandu Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal - A Review

A review of the Oasis Kathmandu Hotel, located in the Thamel area of Kathmandu. I stayed here in May in the days leading up to my incredible trek to Everest Base Camp. As usual, I used TripAdvisor to research the best areas and hotels, and then Expedia to book. This was a perfect choice for me!
I booked it for two nights and stayed in the area known as Thamel, just steps away from hundreds of hiking supply stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops. It is truly exactly what you would see in a movie with all of your senses and smells being put on blast. I couldn't have been happier with the location of this hotel as it gave me access to buy some last minute supplies and try out some of Kathmandu's great food and fake strip clubs (yes, you read that right). I booked a Deluxe Twin City View room for about $40USD a night and it came with a buffet breakfast.
