full cannon spits will never not be fun to shoot with, but being a high tier non griff spits are always a bit of a struggle probably why i tollerate fighting jets in the end of the line super spits, at least i dont have to wait long to have most of my performance
I’ve had it in my grb lineup for so long, the 4 20mils absolutely cook and you physically can’t lose a dogfight unless you’ve got a skill issue or you’re in a bad position when they attack

Case in point the J21s, J22s and 190A8 all being massively over BRed relative to performance and being 100% reliant on the opposing player being trash or distracted to get kills. Then there is the opposite end of the spectrum of under BRed monsters because of "poor" armament that are untouchable in good players hands relative to the average planes of the BR. Armament should have no place in dictating BRs until missiles get involved, especially when everything explosive based in props has the ability to one tap and US .50s can shred with only a handful of hits. When most everything currently slaps in props armament doesn't mean jack all. Second in terms of performance differences between the Typhoon and Spit Vc non trop the Typhoon is around 40mph faster 4km and below and it only gets faster above 4km as the Vc runs out of engine power above 4km. The Typhoon also has one of the best turn rates of everything in it's BR bracket once you ignore Japanese fighters. Sure, the Vc still turns notably better but you are comparing two of the best. What the Vc has meaningfully that the Typhoon lacks is climb rate and roll rate. The Vc has about a 5m/s climb rate advantage and more than double the best roll rate speed of the Typhoon. The Vc non trop currently sits at 5.0 while the Typhoon sits at 4.3. The Vc isn't that much better than the Typhoon to warrant that kind of BR bump. The Vc trop loses about 10mph more in speed to the Typhoon while taking an almost imperceptibly small hit in climb relative to the Vc non top. Compared to the Vb non trop (4.0) the Vc trop (4.7) has a noticeable, but not significant, gain in climb with minor gains in sustained turn and MER. That is it. Not worth the .7 BR bump in my opinion. In my opinion the Vc Trop is a 4.3 plane (hence my comment) and the Vc non trop is a 4.7 plane.
I detest the mkV... I'm biased by the history, but the fact it's replacment is at 4.3 (MKIX), while it's stuck at 4.7-5.0 just says how gaijin "Balances". The mkIX is a far superior aircraft and only lacks the killer bite, but in a skilled pilot's hands, thats not a problem!
The IX isn't far superior. The MK.IX was a side grade to the Vb. The issue is that the V was not competitive against the 190s at higher alts. The IX changed that by stretching the supercharger gears. The Vc is a later war variant of the V that actually was superior to the early IX.

The IX doesn't even touch 400mph historically until it gets very close to 6km/19,685ft. This is replicated in game. At around 4km, where the Vs are topping out, the Vs are still marginally faster than the IX. Don't believe me and think that the IX can go 400+mph at 4km? The P-51C is breaking the 400mph level flight top speed barrier between 3 and 4km. The IX has absolutely no hope of keeping up with the 51C. The Ki-44-II is topping out around 370mph and all Spits struggle to keep up with it. In terms of in game the IX is a side grade at best given that most combat takes place 4km and below. On the deck the Vb non trop tops out at 326mph. The F.IX at 4.3 tops out at 322mph. The Vb trop tops out at 316mph. The larger radiators and the stretched supercharger gearing of the IXs really makes a big negative difference to the speed of the IXs. The Vcs are just straight better than the Mk.IXs below 5km in every meaningful metric. Notably better climb, turn and even speed for the non trop Vc. Get them both maxed out on the deck and you will find the Vc non trop tops out at 334mph. The trop version loses most of that speed advantage, topping out at 327mph, for nothing in game and a trop filter IRL. The Vc is the best overall performing Merlin Spit below the LF.IXs at 5.7. Like the LF.IXs the Vc quickly runs out of engine power above 4.5km. Personally I am happy to take any Mk.V over the F.IXs any day. i have an aircraft for you to do a video on. the KI-27 if i remember the name correct. ( the first japanese plane to get the 27mm cannon.) my highest kill with it was 6 kills with the cannon. ( i have yet to figure out how to use the secondary guns that aim upwards
Try flying a bomber B17G or B24, Lancaster, and see how well you do, it's challenging. But seeing as your a God with turrets, you'll probably be fine. I can't aim for shit...

I dont know about you guys bur gajin has in my opinion juts decided to say skrew britan air and nerf things thats fine the way they are. One verry good example is them for some reson making the Typhoon mk2 combat flaps usles at speeds above 270km/h where the flaps could work just fine at speeds of 420km/h.
Historically there was a limiter that prevented the flaps from extending above a certain speed even though they could function without damage at higher speeds. This isn't Gaijin screwing Britain. It is British design being a bit silly.
The plane isn't overtiered, and it isn't struggling. Easy mistakes can be pointed out in most of these clips tbf. No hate, and I'm not a god or anything, but i saw most of these deaths coming long before they happened.
There's a factor that most comments like this appear to forget. I've been playing 12 years, sometimes I revisit an aircraft and it's Flight Model has completely changed since the last time I played it. So to me, all these comments were completely valid. The Vc used to lose vastly less energy and also used to climb much better.

Don't know if it's just me, but I feel like most spitfires are so much slower than they used to be. Even the 6.7 ones with the better engines.

It’s crazy engine overheating also doesn’t help since you have to fly well below 100% throttle most of the time to not cook your engine
