I’m so confused, they don’t have a body or a murder weapon, so how can they charge him for murder, they have nothing to prove she’s dead, Lauren could be a beach in Spain for all we know

Real police do the exact same they use ppl past crimes on them all the time in new cases even though they served time for those past crimes.

A lot of corries storylines are based on real life. So even tho it might be sad or you being angry they are doing this to Roy. This storyline is gonna spread the word that a person like Roy gets accused when he never committed anything.

Wow, this doesn't make any sense. Why would they suspect that Roy killed Lauren (which in this case, she is not dead), I mean there was no evidence that he attacked her. I think Swain is the worst DS ever! I mean she brought up an old case from 10 years ago, and it has been resolved since then. She doesn't do her job properly. She didn't help Amy when she was raped by Aaron last year. She didn't arrest Stephen Reid who was close of escaping Weatherfield, and now they are putting the blame onto Roy. I hope people can agree with me on this!

I didn’t realise that Roy had been on the show since 1995 & I saw an older episode with him in it & he had a much stronger northern accent. He seems to have lost it since he’s gotten older
Roy's the type of bloke who would thrive in jail. The order, the discipline. He'll make friends with the pigeons that land at his window, he'll have plenty time to write his memoirs, & he will be a calming influence to the other inmates. Don't worry, folks, he'll be more than OK!
When this story was first announced i called it dumb as someone like Roy would never commit murder, and i still feel the same now. The writers must have run out of material.

I’ve watched Roy since his first appearance in the show and he doesn’t have a murdering bone in his body and the people in the comments saying he’s guilty may as well have done it themselves I’ve met murderers in prison I’m aware of what they’re like and Roy ain’t one

.Its like a tag-team between Craigie ( the Only uniformed cop on the force), and Swain ,( anyone notice how she is getting increasingly more glamorous). The unlikely pair are the best of Weatherfield Authority......How bloody absurd.. My only big question is are they going to pull the old soap opera standard of " sleepwalking " --- when he unknowingly murdered..! Also , it really looks like the British have one heck of a lot less RIGHTS than we in North America... check out the tone of Swain & the condescending attitude towards old Roy.........!
From what I've seen so far, DS Swain is coming across as obnoxious and even Vicky Myers, who plays the character, came across as obnoxious during her appearance on Lorraine.

Roy is far too trusting. Why did he just believe her when she said she was Lauren's mother? She used that too her advantage and allowed him to bring her to his home and film everything she could. She should have been arrested for pretending to be who she wasn't and trying to sensationalize this all in the name of getting likes on social media. How pathetic we as a society have become. How are they charging Rory with a murder when they have no flippin evidence?
