I love the carry handle. It helps small people maneuvre it around so much more easily! I'll feed back more on the board over the next few weeks as I familiarise myself with it. Raced it out of the box yesterday at the Dart and got a close second against someone half my age on a hollow sprint....so it's decent on the flat. Can't wait to DW with it down here in Cornwall. Feels like new shoes at the moment I've had the RS for so long!

Congratulations on your result - was great to see! Look forward to staying up to date with how you improve further still as you get accustomed to the new RST :)

Totally agree on the DF availability 😢 Which board would be faster in the flats, this one or the RS? And if you downsized this one from 24,5 to 23 because of the more stable dugout than the RS...

Thanks for the questions and watching. Hopefully a DF will come in time especially if there is demand. As for the overall speed in the flat, the RS DF beats the RST SF but by the tiniest of margins. The lightness of the RST certainly helps getting off the line quicker. The dugout positioning you lower in the board and nearer the waters surface absolutely improves stability as to the more slab sided rails when compared to the RS. Hope this helps.

How precise are the various widths in terms of rider weight? Personally looking for the narrowest board possible for my weight, and the RST 14x24.5 is recommended for riders up to 90 kg. Me being approx 93 kg, do I have to look at the 26 wide? Would the performance of the 24.5 be limited? Thanks for a good review!

Thanks for taking the time to watch. Widths and riders weights hold some truth but what they don't account for is paddler skill and conditions paddled in. While you are 3kg over the suggested paddler weight, they are just that suggested. If you are a confident, moderately skilled paddler at 93kg then the 24'5 has sufficient volume for you. Hope this helps.
