It’s part of the hobby………some fish live shorter lives than others ” Like humans fish can get old or catch some type of cancer. I have lost so many fish that I keep clove oil incase I have to put down a very sick or injured fish down. The clove oil relaxes the fish before it passes on…….I used to have to do this when there was unplanned aggression, I had a friend that had to put fish down due to them swimming close to his MBU Puffer’s mouth when he fed him. My friend started removing fish that got in the way of his MBU puffer trying to eat…….the puffer would freak out, and spit the fish out…….but it was too late for the unfortunate fish……MBU puffers has 4 sharp beak plates, they can take a human finger off, and they have a much powerful bite than a Piranha. NEVER NEVER NEVER TRY TO HAND FEED A MBU PUFFER.

Fish can be resuscitated if you have the nerve.
I did try but it just didn’t show signs of improving so I let nature take its course. Trust me, I love my fish but there is only so much I could do.
