Totally agree. Ph basketball relies too much on outside shooting and they don't have a strong inside presence in this tournament. Standhardinger's inside presence isn't enough. The team badly needed andray blatche in this tournament : (
@@mr.kaizhouto.9931 I love the playing style in the Phillipines. But I do not think the 5 Out is best for them when they go into International Tournaments. I think they should burn clock with something more deliberative like Princeton or Shuffle. They should probably look into the Blocker-Mover and the Continuation Ball Screen. This years College Champion in the US... Virginia runs a ton of Blocker-Mover. If you look them up you will see some very good videos on it right now that have been uploaded recently. I think these Offenses will really help the Ph to WIN Even though these offense CAN slow down the pace of scoring they can also lead to a higher scoring percentage. In that way by being more efficient and by holding onto the ball you limit your opponents scoring chances. Instead of maybe 40 or 50 shots for each team... you each get fewer shots but yours will go in the basket more than theirs. There are many dynamic scorers in the Ph with the ability to create and improvise on the fly. And these offenses (except maybe not the Shuffle) are based on improvise. You should also look at how the Princeton Offense is run at great speed in the US at the Air Force Academy from a few years ago. That speed they used would be successful with the Ph also.
brucemercer Continuity motion offense means sacrificing ISO ball and Filipino love those flashy one on one NBA-esque style of plays. It's no surprise why Philippines haven't had huge success because they lack discipline to run those complex type of offense.

@@Night-Tid3 EXACTLY👍 the best system for PHILIPPINES was to me the EURO STYLE since they are not that TALL and GIFTED TALENTED SKILLED like the NBA PLAYERS. EURO STYLE is the BEST for them.
Some teams will match up man to man to neutralize against the overload & morph back into a standard 3-2 following a return pass above the Free throw line. Harry litwack of temple was popular of this and was well known as creator of the 3-2 zone but used a lot of combinations principles with it.
Only works on a small guard heavy offense with poor outside shooting and limited big man skill. This defense is excellent for youth basketball!
I love how it disrupted the half court sets of the opposing teams even tho it sacrifices the defense inside the paint

The 3-2 zone is easily defeated by overloading the offense via a roamer.
Some teams will match up man to man to neutralize against the overload & morph back into a standard 3-2 following a return pass above the Free throw line.
