A simple but very solid and fun game. It's such a wholesome good time; all the characters are so cute. I agree that it needs a remake and an anime to go with it!

Late to the party here. Recently got a copy of this and played through it in one sitting, and my gosh, this was an absolute joy to play! Very fun. Short, but i'll definitely replay this again! Loved all the characters! So cute, and very fun!

It's a fun story for sure. Nothing spectacular, but fun. The gameplay is where it falls short, specifically the controls and camera. But if you can get used to them, it's not bad.
The game isn't very complicated, but it's very fun and extremely charming. Its direct successor Sola to Robo has some fun cameos where you do missions with the Tail Concerto cast. That one is a lot bigger game with more depth and more cute characters. I would love a high res version on the switch of both.
If it ever gets lucky enough to be remade, I hope they do better on the voice acting. It's not insanely terrible, but I just can't take them seriously at these points that are supposed to be emotional.😄
Tail Concerto. The first entry in the Little Tail Bronx series. It received a sequel, two prequels, and a spin-off; Solatorobo (sequel) was on the Nintendo DS, Fuga: Melodies of Steel (prequels) are on modern platforms. Not sure where the spinoff was available. It's no surprise a lot of people don't know about it since it kind of dropped off the radar until Solatorobo was released on the DS several years later. Apparently Solatorobo was made because the lead devs really wanted to continue Little Tail Bronx. Unfortunately the producers wanted them to focus more on .hack.
The camera is terrible too because it constantly wants to stay behind Waffle except for certain fixed camera areas. Aside from the messy gameplay however, I have to agree that the story is enjoyable. Love Daniel's animation too. I just rewatched it a few days ago.
They don't have to. It's probably inevitable that they would end up together at some point canonically. Plus it's primarily made for younger gamers so there's no reason to do that.

Dude, just from the opening cutscene, I can tell this was one of those games that if you played it as a kid, you never forgot it.

I hope that happens. I hadn't known Little Tail Bronx was expanded beyond Tail Concerto until a couple of years ago, so I missed out on it.
Gotta say, as far as voice acting in older games goes, this is actually pretty good
I would later find out that the voice actress for Waffle also voiced Rouge and omochao in SA2. Pit in SSBB and Lucas as well.

There's not a whole lot to it, and the controls take some getting used to, but it's enjoyable and charming for what it is.
