Man there ain't nothing more fun than getting on some white bass in a creek here in Georgia. Absolutely some of my best fishing memories. Thanks Jimmy!!!
Thanks for the great tips Jimmy! A few years back I was way up in a creek and found so many white bass it looked like a school of shad on the locater. Just like you said, caught em on a small crankbait. May God bless yall!
Hey Jimmy, I live in the corner of Ohio Indiana & Kentucky where the Whitewater river runs into the great Miami river before it hits the mighty Ohio river. You never mentioned a rooster tail as one of your baits. I was waiting for you to say rooster tail but I couldn't believe that the Great Jimmy Houston doesn't use roosters to catch them white bass. I have never used any of the baits in the video for white bass but I will now. So thanks for the tips. We fish & catch hundreds of bass a day under the bridge on Rt.50 in Oh. about one mile from Indiana but get there early as it fills up fast. Thanks again Mr. Jimmy Houston for all the tips every day. Love & prayers for Chris & you too but more for Chris. Ha Ha Ha !! I can feel it in my bones that the good Lord has a plan for Chris and it's all good..
Thanks, Joe, I have definitely fished a RoosterTail. Great bait and will catch about everything that swims. I have actually fished the Miami River there and of course the Ohio River. Did a couple of great shows catching hybrids below one of the Locks and Dams. Super fishing. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Hey, Jimmy! The water is still in that mix of frozen with open pockets up here - I've thrown a "speed worm" for a few minutes here and there, but it's still too early in the year for fishing much. Another month, or another warm spell (it was in the 50s a couple weeks ago! Northern Indiana!) and I'll be spending every free minute on the water. I'm about to pick up one of those fishing kayaks from Bass Pro (133X, I think) that comes with a trolling motor and fish finder, etc, so I'll finally be able to reach so much more than I have from the shore (haven't had a boat since my parents put my sister through college). Happy fishing!!!
That will be great, Jan. Very happy for you!! Might stick with slow rolling a Spinnerbait or a jig until that water starts to warm up. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy
Been out the last two weekends in the Tishomingo area, two first weekend and one this last weekend. Hoping I didn't miss it and it's about to kick off. Taking my son out in a few days to hopefully get him on some. Thanks for the video, been watching you for as long as I can remember, and hope to see many more.
Thanks so much, Shamus for hanging with us all these years. I appreciate you. That water cooled down from 59 to 54 this week. That set em back some. This cold front here now might make it worse for a couple of days! It’s going to get much better toward the end of this week when that warmer weather starts warming up the water. The best is yet to come. May God Bless. jimmy
My brother and I fished for a lady out of Aurora, NC fishing/ catching white bass on the Tn. River below Pickwick Dam. She took the white bass back to her spawning beds and spawned them. She crossed them with strippers and the hybrids could be sold to Chinese restaurants in Quebec and New York. We used 1/4 ounce head and 3 inch pearl grub. The water in March was muddy
Wow. What a great story, Ken. I’ve never heard of anyone doing that. Having fun and benefiting folks at the same time. That’s a fun fish to catch. We don’t have quite as many here in Oklahoma as in the past. Most of the lakes where they have introduced hybrids or stripers has hurt the white bass population. Pretty Good trade off, though. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
Depends on where you live in the South but they usually start moving up the rivers and creeks to spawn around 55-60 degrees. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy
@@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing I just purchased a vacation home outside of Cookson, and I plan on doing a lot of fishing in the area this spring. God Bless!!
Go to the upper end of creeks and the main river the lake is built in. Sometimes it’s easier and better to be fishing firm the bank. You can get to some fish that boaters can’t. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

Tytus has been asking me to take him fishing here lately.
