I love this album so much the futuristic nour sound of it is so different than anything in their both related genres Kinda sad that they never made something like this again This album is my Kid A
It definitely has something to do with music in the 60s, more particularly so Italian music, like those by Ennio Morricone sung by Elsa Del’Orso, not to mention that peculiar harpsichord. The fantastic instrumental arrangements intertwined with the exact amount of electronics make Goldfrapp a unique band, crowned by Alison’s sensual voice. I wish they would play together again. They have so much potential.
Well deconstructed. Now, off to spend the day listening to the album with new ears. Thank you for this!
Really luv this album bought it immediately it came out so cinematic so sweeping so deadly seductive is Alison's voice. Matt the Siouxsie fan
