Feeling emotional rn. Been listening to eyedea tribute songs then eyedea songs. My best friend was named Michael. Died. Same as Michael Larson. He was the embodiment of eyedea's spirit and personality. They live on through us and we live on through them. Rip Michael. He inspired everybody he ever met and were a positive influence to the world. He made people feel like they belonged despite his internal struggles. Those struggles were very real and ended up becoming his demise. He will live on through us as we embody his essence. And for that we will embrace him and who he was. The world will be better for that and his existence. Because great eyedeas will never die.
This morning I listened to Music Music which starts with "I'll be writing until I'm dead." It's crazy how someone's words take on a completely different meaning after they're gone.

I saw Abilities last night and he put a tribute to Eyedea in his set. The guy's still getting stage time even after he's gone and I'm sure he'll have a lasting impact on hip-hop even if the mainstream never acknowledges that he was there.
