Exactly. I mean, a fair amount of Pennsylvania is kinda small towns, but we do have Pittsburgh and Philadelphia plus all of their suburbs. We are definitely not the middle of nowhere. We are surrounded by some of the largest metropolises on the east coast. Her correct answer should have been the terrible roads.

@@gregfaber3417 I'd say depending on where you are you're east coast or Midwest. A lot of the state is very rural and Pittsburgh definitely is more Midwest than east coast. Other than the Southeastern part of the state it's more mid west or a blend of both. Just Philadelphia being the biggest and being one of the most important cities in the countries history overshadows most of the state as with a lot of major cities.

Plus less than one percent of the land of New York State is comprised of New York City. So much of the state including the city is great and doesn’t deserve any hate. Look at Detroit and their awful crime, schools and rapes. NYC is the best city in the world
@@aidanshaw3958 I used to live near Detroit and am now in Ann Arbor. As much as I want to disagree, you are kind of right. The first apartment I looked at had police cars standing outside it and I think they were investigating an active crime scene. But that was in Ypsi, a college town near Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor itself is safe. Same for suburbs like Dearborn, Southfield, Farmington, Bloomfield and Troy.

Anthony Rayburn Utah is on a whole other level. Literally Utah is the definition of urban sprawl: cul-de-sacs, parking lots, excessive highways, and McMansions everywhere. Are there even sidewalks outside of the neighborhoods that don’t need them because they have a thirty-foot wide lane?
Jasmin but you can park outside cities and kind of just walk into them, but salt lake has those gigantic blocks which take forever to travel past on foot so you have no incentive not to drive

NY State is HUGE, but most people won't know that since they only know what they see on TV, Movies, and the news about the city. South Dakota has Wall Drug. As they will remind _all 49 other states_ incessantly. I just drove to Montana for my best friend's funeral three months ago. What's one of the things stuck to the legs of the "Welcome to Montana" sign at the Montana/Wyoming border? A Wall Drug bumper sticker!
Also, South Dakota has a Wall Drug sign every five or ten miles along each of their major highways. "80 miles to Wall Drug! 75 miles to Wall Drug!" My friend and I drove through South Dakota back in '98. It was _300 miles_ of cornfields, Wall Drug signs _and nothing else._ So you're kinda-sorta almost completely correct.
But, hey...at least South Dakota has Wall Drug, right? ;-D

Commander's Palace, Cafe Du Monde (sp), the French Quarter *drools* The WORST thing about the "food" (in New Orleans, at least) is the fountain soda. ALL of it tastes like bleach, no matter where we go- in the 21 years I've been going there.

And the cities that have the problem its more so grouped in an area of the city and easily avoided if you know anything about these places( if you're looking to avoid them that is.) It seems so big but in comparison of other us cities, were not that bad.

I think she meant "middle of nowhere" relative to, say, Utah. Out here, we're close to an historic railroad union, a migratory bird refuge and Wyoming. So, you can see how she'd feel Pennsylvania might feel shorted.

When you say middle of nowhere you would think about South Dakota or some empty state that’s not close to either coast, but Pensilvania really isn’t.

Also depends on the region. In southeast Alaska, where I live, it isn't so bad in the winters; here it's moreso the constant clouds and rain. Somewhere like barrow, however? Months at a time without the sun.

Where I used to live near the PA/MD border was out in the boonies. Lots of corn fields & people getting excited over a super Walmart coming to town bc there was literally nothing to do there.

I actually live in Pennsylvania and I would say the worst thing about it is............. I don’t really know like some things I want to say are probably worse in other states I guess.......... there is a bunch of drunkens and the weather fluctuations are not very fun like in the fall Thursday is 90*F and Friday is 22*F “and apparently the snow has formed a hidden ice layer under 10 inches of snow”😂

Sloane M I looks at the statistics and it’s a very low percentage of the state. I just feel there could’ve been a better answer to fit the entire state rather than a small percentage of it. Like the roads, car insurance rates, construction, etc.
11TCool I understand it’s still an issue in certain cities. All of it is staggering. Although I feel there was a better suited answer for the question asked. Unfortunately I do know that most states only know of Detroit. Which is saddening as there a many beautiful places here!
I live in Michigan and where I live in the winter it snows, in the summer it rains, in the fall and spring it’s always windy. The grass is always wet, covered in snow, or covered in leaves. Some days the sun is out and it feels like springs here then the next day it’s -10 and there’s a snow storm.
