For every dungeon up to U20/E20 4 Apples and 4 Top-Elixiers were enough for me. I don't know how i got so many, but right now, after finishing every mission (except Arceus), Connected to 752 Pokemon (of about 780 as far as i can see), the Top-Elixiers are finally running low. I still have more than 200 Apples though.
I recently replayed the game and stocked up a bunch of tiny reviver seeds and Oran berries for this specific place. I forgot to take them out of storage
Dom's Doodles Yep, i agree. The whole soundtrack completely caught me off guard. I never thought they would put so much effort into the music. I was astonished.
Love the nod to "Run Away, Fugitives" in this song (at 1:07). Pretty fitting because at this point in the game you're fleeing the village because you're trying to get away from the Beheeyem, much like how in the first Mystery Dungeon game you're also having to flee the town.

Explorers of Sky was my first Pokemon game ever (alongside Rangers Guardian Signs, got them both on Xmas), Gates to Infinity was just… not good, and Super somehow is tied with my literal first ever Pokemon game as my favorite entry in the PMD franchise
I loved this dungeon, it was rough, it was gritty, it was long and grueling but you had this feeling of determination to prove yourself and reach Lively Town.
Limbo Studios My partner (Treeko) died on the 4th floor but I was like "NO! I will NOT give up!" and made it to the very top with just Totodile. This music really helped with the motivation XD

One of the funniest dungeon themes in the game because of how upbeat and fun it is. Another thing I did like was the fact that you could travelling diagonally a lot in this dungeon when you were on a corner, which was fun to do.
If you get Big Ears emera or use a radar orb you can pounce to enemies across the map easily enough. And if you miss you would just get teleported to a random tile. Was actually a easy dungeon to get around without walking much.
God help you if ya didn't stockpile a crap ton of Guiding Wands or even just apples in general on your first time trekking through THIS dungeon specifically 😂
The first of two consecutive dungeons that I hated. They both follow their own themes: This dungeon tries to waste as much time and PP as possible, with it's 12 floors and Minimize Unburden Drifloons, Double Team Snorunt's and Sand Attack Everything Else's. Gentle Slope Cave does the opposite of this: trying to brutally murder every chance it gets. The ONLY thing that made these dungeons worth visiting was the amazing songs that came with them.
Actually Sheer Mountain Range had 13 floors. Oh, and don't forget Snorunt also knows Ice Shard. As for Gentle Slope Cave, while it has ragequits challenges like Shuppet's Spite and Shadow Sneak, Larvitar's Screech and Sandstorm, Yamask's mummy and Disable and Skrelp and Surskit's bubbles, I found it easier.
I only made it because I had a ton of elixers and tiny reviver seeds, the other 40% of making out was bc my Riolu and Charmander being high leveled and just knowing some strong moves (I also had wands and blast seeds but they didn't rlly do anything)
Limbo Studios I agree, we need more difficult stuff, but there's difficulty, and then there's just plain cheap. This dungeon, at least, falls into the latter.

Epilogue without my partner and I did a rescue in the dungeon. The song just remembered me the beggining of our adventures as members so I just cried (I didnt know she would come back)
I didn't have all that much difficulty here, but then again, I was playing as a Riolu (very solid offensive power) with a Fennekin partner (Ember and Psybeam supporting fire). Hardest part was not running out of PP restoring items.
I possibly got the unluckiiest spot to spawn the first time I went through here, a dead end with two rufflets that kept onehsotting me, to make matters worse, once one died the other defeated my ally and freaking evolved, THEN I fled and got cornered at ANOTHER dead end by it and another enemy. Needless to say that's my worst experience with this area.
i feel like this one actually was a level straight from Shiren the Wanderer with the way it was designed and whatnot (and much much easier than Shiren's version). That one has permadeath, can only imagine if PMD had permadeath from the getgo... oof. that Pounce Wand is very useful for cliff diving out of a bind too, warp emera, sleep emera, confuse emera, big ears, and a luminous orb.
Except that each individual dungeon is just SO MUCH MORE PAINFUL here. I would often 1-shot Pokemon in Sky with resisted moves (Houndoom with a Energy Ball) here its the opposite. Even if you have a super effective move it does not ki
It was kind of sad to me how in-distinct so many of the dungeons felt in this game, I feel like Sheer mountain Range was one of the only ones that stood out at all. So many of the other dungeons just... feel the same. Feel generic. The only reason this one seemed to stand out was the fact that the whole dungeon in cliffs instead of walls, but so many other dungeons just... fell off the radar. I feel like not being able to grind levels in preparation is part of it, because it means each dungeon is just a test, instead of a hurdle you're training up for, doing jobs to get stronger until you can finally beat it. It made every dungeon in Rescue team or Explorers feel super important and memorable.
+Parker Dixon-Word It's just reused cliff layout from Crags of Lament from GTI. They have several layouts - stone dung, forest dung, meadow dung, beach dung, cliff dung. They only put different textures on it. I still love it. Honestly, there is not an infinite amount of possibilities how to make the dungeons really unique.
For me personally, the reason I like this dungeon so much is because its a meaningful and big part of the story dungon. Its the first dungeon you arrive at after leaving your friends behind and chasing your partners dreams and hopefully, find out why you became a human. I agree with you completely. Dungeons like these are exactly what defines the mystery dungeon series.
I fucking love this song, but this dungeon is hell, I remember when I was out of apples, oran berries, and I only had 2 Tiny Reviver Seeds and I couldn't change leader, I survived with 2 Tiny Reviver Seeds somehow, until I got to Gentle Slope, I was so hyped like "FUCKING YESS!!!!!!" and when I saw the Box, immediately I extracted apples, reviver seeds, and oran berries, and I saved the game like 3 times.

Sahlos this game is almost impossible with Bulbasaur and Totodile
And then you get into the next dungeon and realize you did NOT have enough oran berries
They timed the intro really well. I ended up walking into the dungeon at exactly 0:22 when the music picks up.

As a totodile, SMR was relatively easy, what with ice fang, I also had no problem with GSC. The rufflets with fury attack is what pissed me off most

the problem is that PSMD is a lot more punitive, with no luck or doing some little mistakes you can lose, YOU clearly didn't play super.

Hardest part about the dungeon? Finding the darn stairs. This was the closest I've ever come to losing by starvation in the entire game.
