Just the let you know our tiffin 38cb you Inspected in February is there getting repaired because the local dealers would not tough it. Big story short, Tiffin came and picked it up and it is currently there for the cabinet door, Aqua Hot, solar system and up grades. Very happy they stepped up! Thank you guys!
Always enjoy hearing what Mr. Bob has to say! Ironically, we were looking at Tiffin RVs recently, and the interior floor of one of the cabinets was warped so badly it looked like a bowl. Sadly, it was behind a cabinet door that Bob Tiffin had signed.
@@blueoxontherun9188 FYI, that is an east-west bed, not a north-south bed. It has 6ft and 7inches of sleeping length, making it the widest in the industry, which is why taller people tend to prefer the GH1. I am 6ft 3 and over 250lbs and I sleep fully extended without any curling up. It is a very comfortable bed. I have also never had to sit down while taking a shower.
That Tiffin is taking the steps in trying to improve what they are selling to the public, other manufacturers should be doing the same. Hiring the best inspection team (Blue Ox) as the QC inspectors can hopefully make them produce a better product. Plus if the rig leaves the factory without these issues it has to lower their warranty costs and makes for a happier buyer. Also would love to see your interview of Mr. Tiffin..
She'll post the interview real soon. To your point, I'm proud of a company taking responsibility and getting accountable for their lack thereof quality slippage through the last few years. Hiring us, with our manufacturing background and RV industry knowledge, should help get somewhat straighter if the keep their crew in check right? Time will be our witness ..
I think I got 2 more inches on Laurel , that bed would be useless for me as well . If Tiffin had that bed turn the other way with a pull down part of the mattress that might work out a little better . Here is my tip , Pierre talk about paint in this vedio , I use to paint cars , trucks in a body shop, the worse cleaner to use on any car , truck or Jeep is Armorall , here is why , any over spray from Armorall gets on your paint , like a fender , door or any place on your vehicle , you just cant wipe it off . Latter on you might need some repairs to the body of what ever you are driving . The body would paint what ever and that Armorall would make a big mess to the paint job , from there the only way for the body shop to correct that problem , they would have to strip off all the paint to the bare metal . that can be costly . If you find this product called Mc quires its awesome for your interior and tires . It wont hurt the paint . I know lots of people use it on their corvettes and hot rods
I hope thst Tiffin paid Blue Ox handsomely for these inspections. Given your reach to their potential customer base via YT, your Tiffin inspection vids are priceless PR for them. Frankly, I'll believe it when I see improved quality from them down the road. One year from now, Blue Ox should conduct inspections of new Tiffin rigs, independent of Tiffin involvement, as a follow-up. Otherwise, I think this is just Tiffin using you guys.
I think it is a good step to have you help them on quality. Things like that crooked light should never got that far. There should be a standard for the task of installing that light with dimensions and specks and the job should be inspected after it is complete What about all the things that are covered up/hidden already? Quality has to be engineered in not inspected in.
The misconception of Thor's financial acquisition, shouldn't have had nothing to do with the lack of quality and pride once known in theindustry. IMHO I tend to think of the bad timing of high demand in 2019 and covid shortage thereafter, could have unstabled a once high quality standard production line. Shortage of dedicated employees and quality supplies got them lost in the shuffle of high demand and they lost control of their destiny IMHO. Time will tell right?
I can see right now that RV would drive me nuts. I am 5'9", so I wouldn't fit in that one. Thanks for giving the measurements! that let's people make really informed decisions!
I hope Leigh has nothing to kick about regarding your inspections. Would like to see an interview with Bob Tiffin........am sure it would be quite interesting.
You know my personality 🤨 he has let me loose in ripping, who ever deserved it, a new ass... With all my known " candor " they call it, I was still welcomed on their grounds the next day...I guess it says a lot of their commitment to change 😉. We're also already scheduled for February. I'm sure the employees are all looking forward to see us 🤣
@@blueoxontherun9188 You are who you are.......which is refreshing. If their culture is good, they will be excited to have you both back in February to improve on their quality. It would be a "win-win" for all concerned.
With all do respect, your comments on the bed were highly misleading and incorrect. I have the same setup in my van and my wife and I sleep comfortably up there. This bed can fit some who is 6’4”. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
Does Tiffin have their own internal Quality Check department? If so, their QC person needs to be fired. Any employee on the assembly line should be allowed to flag this unit and stop production when these problems are seen. You know someone saw these issues and just let it go on to the next step.
these typically go for over 200K because they are a 4 x 4 model, but if you are a larger man, this is not the unit for you, larger being over 6' in height and over 250lbs. Do yourself a favor and go for a bigger RV
These "Adventure Vans" are a terrible balance between off road capability and live-in comfort at a huge price tag. If I were Tiffin I would skip the short chassis model and go with the longer Mercedes Van so that there would be more room to add features. This model has nothing unique about it. They have done nothing that everyone else is already doing and doing better. My feeling is that the off road segment is losing ground to what is coming and that is the European style van builds like Noovo. If they want to be successful in the van segment they need to look at Noovo and do everything they do plus more and do it in a big expensive Mercedes. After all isn’t Tiffin a high end brand?
This was a different video(don't think I mean that as compliment). Look, I am sure Mr.Tiffin is a nice man however, I have seen too many "liz Amazing" videos(your too) that involved Tiffin products and frankly they have real issues with quality and the relationships they have with customers that are exasperated with their mobile homes. Manufactures in general in this industry have really let this part of their business slide. The more independent your are with your opinions the better.
I like that you both are critical in your inspection. I was in my inspection as a truck driver, safety is a priority

Bob interview- yes please!
We always wanted a Tiffin- maybe we can after your constructive help.
Great work team, hard to believe they let that pass QC in that condition
Time for you to get involve too 😉
A trip to Arizona would do you good 🙂
C4BO / Love the bloopers!
I’m 6-3” and the boss lady is 5-8”. We fit very snuggly in the bed. 😂. Love my GH1.
Like we said...some folks like these!

B no on this rig for me but way to step up Tiffin to want to be better!!! Makes me want to reconsider them when I buy my next rig.
I think it is commendable of them and hope others will follow through in their footsteps helping the consumers believing in them again ..
Love to hear you guys inspect a Tiffin Class B+.

Love Pierre's tent !!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Does the Tiffin class B have a cement pad mattress ?
Hell yeah!

Did you mention that the bed is on a happy Jack system which goes up and down?
Yep
Manufactures are trying but coming up short great job 😢
Everyone needs to push the bus right??
Need to bring a Grech in house and copy the quality.
Considering those class B’s cost more than some C’s & smaller A’s, it’s ashame they fudged the paint so much!
Btw, a tad too small for me!

Didn't Tiffin built quality and a little Luxury (try to go there) rv's ?
They are working on getting back on top trying everything available to do so...as hiring Blue Ox as a fact checker and consultant
