I just want to say that although I (and I’m sure many others) have seen a good number of the burl and resin projects your spin on the concept has elevated the possibilities of how unique and creative the combination can be. Adding the bismuth is a fantastic idea! I will admit that initially I was concerned that the beautiful crystalline structure would be lost in the resin but you certainly did it justice and truly made a wonderful stage for the beautiful materials that nature and chemistry/science provides. Simply exquisite!

The purple resin muted the color of the crystal. I would have gone with a pale gold with gold flecks.

*Niiiiiice. Bismuth is the most recognizable mineral in the world. Pretty much everyone knows what it is. So, it is wonderful to see it used in unique manners.*

Love the shape, the nearness of the crystal to the edge, and I thought the color was great too

Have you considered resin which Container anti-yellowing agent? That way you need not dye the resin.
