Thankyou for this ! I used this a while ago with my class in church (6-7year olds) they LOVED IT and were soooo surprised that it was possible to walk through a single piece of paper ☺️ and I’m using it again tonight with my husbands family hehe
Awesome illustration....can't wait to use this in my Sunday school class....few adults need to 'experience' this as well. Thanks very much for the share!!!
Beautiful applications!! Thank you!! Most object lessons are not very good with the application part.. but your applications were just beautiful, practical and useful.
Thank you so much for this! I am a UPCI Sunday school teacher and I find myself running out of ideas. This was very helpful even though this doesn't directly demonstrate Jesus walking on water but I can use it in regards to having faith.
I am! And I totally feel you on the ideas thing! A good part of why I started doing this was to help out people who were in the same boat I was in when I started and had few resources to work with!
Go Ye Kids That's awesome!! Where is your church and who is your pastor? Have you ever been to NAYC? Its not everyday where you'll meet an apostolic on UA-cam lol.
I'm in Rohnert Park, California and my pastor is Michael Luke! I've never been to NAYC but it's on my bucketlist! So many conferences are on the other side of the country that I have to make hard decisions on which ones to go to! And yeah it's a bit rare but I love being able to meet people so when I do go out to conferences we can meet up!! Where are you from?
Neat object lesson... a good way to teach young ones there is a way even when it seems impossible. And the verses it brings to mind is Luke where Jesus said all things are possible with God. And James 1 where James said if anyone lacks understanding, let him ask God who gives liberally without reproach! Jesus says keep asking, seeking and knocking. And how about Jesus parable of the unjust judge? So so many faith building sculptures .
@@goyekids7427 Today I let my kids watch & pressed pause for us to talk. It went well, but I always struggle with keeping their attention. Also on the introduction of a new topic I wonder if they completely understood. So we watched a video on Ezekiel too.
Thanks for the feedback! I definitely recommend adjusting how much you talk based on your kids' attention spans! When I do this in front of kids I try to limit my talking to the amount of time it takes to cut the paper up and aim to be finished by the time I'm capable of stepping through the paper!
Brian it's teaching and not everyone gets it quicky maybe like you do. Isn't that where love is demonstrated to the least ones?! Just sayin! I can hardly wait to try this!
I agree haha! I'm much better at teaching in real life than I am on a camera--and I'm not very experienced video wise yet! Hopefully I get better over time!!
Gonna use with my adult class! Adults LOVE object lessons too!
