    I would like more detailed examples of slurs, hammer-ons, pull-offs etc. How to exactly program them, etc. I cannot get them to work. I have attempted many approaches and I have reviewed the manual completely. Nothing I play or program comes anywhere near a pull off on on a real guitar so I assume I am doing it wrong. I have tried the slur sensitivity on multiple settings

    Please show us you would use this instrument for strumming, and how to make strumming patterns? Thanks! I appreciate your uploads.

    this is a very good library sounds awesome thanks for the great job.
    i will buy it as soon as i got my new machine.
    I would like to have pull off and hammer on in the sequencer(arpeggio). Is it possible to write a script like that? that would be great.
    peace.

    Hey Mike :)
    I bought this today and i love how it sounds, but i have a problem with the midi playback or something, i am not sure.
    my setup is a macbook running sequoia on an m1 , daw=ableton live 11 .
    whenever i ask the plugin to do something really basic in the sequencer , for example playing back the pattern that it shows, it seems to have problems keeping the notes in sync. also when i loop my midi notes, it sounds different everytime ( not in a good way) it seems to be lagging and theres even sometimes some clicking sound occurring.
    have you encountered this before?
    i would be super thankful for a replie, otherwise i will have to sadly try to get a refund since it is either unusable or i am simply not able to figure out how this plugin works ^^
    thank you !

      Thanks glad you like the guitar! Spitfire are the official support and are far better at detecting any problem with your specific setup, so I would contact them. What I can say is when you connect the sequence trigger midi note (say if you loop a bar with the midi going all the way to the end) it disrupts the loop..you need to create a small gap between the end of the midi note and start of the following one. This has been corrected in the new update releasing any time now. One other thing might be the use of the 'OnBar' switch shown when you open the Advanced controls panel..when switched off you need to manually place the midi note on a beat. When switched on it will sync the loop for you, but you need to play the midi note BEFORE the beat you want to come in at. Hope that helps, or I'm sure Spitfire can help further, thanks again.

    additionally I noticed that I can play a slide up or slide down on my keyboard and it sounds fine, but it never transfer to midi. The midi notes sound normal with no slide at all even though I can hear it when actually playing. Programming the slide up or down also does nothing. That would be the E and F key. The F# 'slide to note' key seems to work fine

    • @ComposerMG
      @ComposerMG  16 днів тому +1

      For slurs up and down simply play a note and overlap another (within 4 semitones) under a certain velocity as controlled by the 'Slur Sensitivity' control. Regarding your problems with the slides, this sounds like a MIDI playback issue you have..if I can suggest contacting Spitfire Support and they will assess your setup etc? Thanks and hope it works out.

    Hey Mike! So I recently purchased Mg soft acoustic and I was adjusting the levels and noticed when trying to use the “pedal up” for fret noises, I dont hear anything . Even automatically in note mode. I know you mention you can manually put fret noises in , but I dont hear it at all. I know you stated it was built in. Should I uninstall And reinstall?

    • @ComposerMG
      @ComposerMG  Місяць тому

      Hmm is the Fret Noise knob at zero in the Calibrate tab? You should contact Spitfire support stating your exact setup, though I haven’t heard any similar issues from them to date..let me know how it goes.

    Mike- This video was helpful, thanks. But I remain confused about some details. Can you explain these? 1) I would like the sustain pedal or some other way to keep a pattern running without holding down a key. 2) I can not make any sense of the chord name shown in the sound hole and the chord displayed on the fretboard-they are frequently not in agreement. - also, I do not understand how the program interprets the pink keys when a pattern is playing - notes I press in the pink keys more often than not are not the root of the chord that is played, so I can't play standard chord progressions. 3) How do I specify a key for a song, including Major/minor?

    • @ComposerMG
      @ComposerMG  2 місяці тому

      Thanks for your questions. To answer..
      1. Currently you need to hold down sequence keys. I have noted your request for a Latch Mode for the next update coming soon.
      2. You have 55ms to put down a chord (available chords include major, minor, maj6, min6, maj7, min7, maj/min7, sus2, sus4) and inversions are recognised with majors and minors. So a slow spread of the chord will not produce the desired chord. As covered in the walkthrough video, pink keys don't allow for chord roots, ie. it is not possible to start a chord on a pink key. This is simply due to the note range being too high for usual guitar chords.
      3. There is no facility for setting overall key signatures. If I get more requests for this I will consider for a future update.

    as a bassist, i feel like i would struggle with the chord mode section. this sequencer section could be used to the same effect, yes? in other words, i could just program strumming patterns using the sequencer, correct?
    (let me add that i've watched several of your tutorials to see if this is a vst i could use. i 110% love the sound of it, but i don't want to buy it and fail at using it)

    • @ComposerMG
      @ComposerMG  Місяць тому +1

      Yes you can program chords/strumming using the sequencer, and there are lots of preset patterns to get you going. I will very soon release a video on this subject as have had a few people asking, thanks!

    I’m so confused on how to get the sequencer going. Would you mind helping me program how to sequence a simple E chord strummed?

    • @ComposerMG
      @ComposerMG  29 днів тому

      In Sequencer mode, you just need to hold one of the 4 yellow sequence keys to start a sequence..it plays with an E Major chord by default if no chord is pressed in the purple keys area. If you are having a problem with your keyboard maybe it's another issue, and Spitfire support can help you further, cheers.
