Wow amazing!! As a flightsim enthusiast I have flown this approach to Paro a gazillion times (on a side note, the flightsim scenery seems to be very consistent with what is seen here). But not even once have I had the courage to try without selecting perfectly clear visibility settings, it is almost 100% hand flying. In this video though you can barely see the surroundings during the super tight U turn between two mountains, followed by negotiating that obstructing cliff seconds before touchdown. I was under the impression that the ATC wouldn't even allow to descent into the valley if the visibility was subpar. I guess the local pilots have perfect situational awareness wired into their heads no matter whether they can see or not🙏
Quelle maîtrise dans cette difficile approche et avec une "décontraction" qui force l'admiration de ce génial pilote. Je suis impressionné par son talent. Bravo, c'est magnifique.

So calm and collected. Extremely professional pilot. Interesting to watch this approach and landing in cloudy, rainy weather - much different to what we usually see with landings at this airport..

@@h4mmersbald congrats. The thing is, one need's to get the exact moment hooked when to go into the left turn, all the while having the right descent angle and altitude dialed. Problem is you can't really see the ALS - if there is one at all - due to the sharp banking angles from right to left so it's all feel and / or experience.
My highest respect! Landing under such weather conditions (light rain) makes it even more challenging. The approach is visual only. When the plane is finally aligned it is only 600 ft from the threshold. There is no margin for error! Maybe it's good that most passengers aren't aware that at some points the distance to terrain ia not more than 200 ft at a speed of 180 knots...

Basically it has to be VMC. VMC doesn't always mean all clear, but a min visibility and cloud base level is available to do a visual segment landing.
Wow, now that is what I call outstanding piloting and landing.. I see why this is considered the most dangerous airport to land at...
High altitude airport, short wet runway, autobrakes are set to low and she puts it right on the 1000ft marker. I think I'm in love.
I swear, that window wiper didn’t do a darn thing to help. She’s amazing. Knew what she was doing and carried it out. Amazing pilot!♥️♥️
UNBELIEVABLE AND AMAZING. I admire pilots regardless but these 2 were so cool calm and collected. And the female captain was awesome. Such relaxed chilled and in control attitude. Super Confident display. Big kudos 👏 💐 🥳 🎊
iam just impressed, not by the fact the pilot is female. just the skill required and the chill she has is also impressive. great job maam
So happy to know that Druk Air has its first female pilot!! Well done, Captain!!!
THAT was SO intense. The skill they showed on such a difficult approach, I kept saying WHERE'S the bloody runway. Respects captain.
Wow! For a minute there I thought I was watching Top Gun Maverick. Awesome job! Watched it over and over.
WOW unbelievable most of this is hand flying in rain with flight directors off totally visual approach so so so close to the terrain ... whew !!! that is well well done 🙏🙏
I guess the local pilots have perfect situational awareness wired into their heads no matter whether they can see or not🙏
I’m in love Captain 👩✈️! Absolutely amazing and superb maneuvering, relax 😎 all the way . Thanks 🙏
Quelle maîtrise dans cette difficile approche et avec une "décontraction" qui force l'admiration de ce génial pilote. Je suis impressionné par son talent.
Bravo, c'est magnifique.
U mean her talent!
Bravo for this women it's realy amazing , this the réal training to bécame réally pilot in this conditions !!! wow !!!!
Holy shit, I've seen this approach many times but never in those conditions, that girl must be the best of the best to do that without breaking a sweat, so impressive.
It's probably not the most dangerous airport, but certainly a rather complex approach through the narrow terrain corridor. With an aircraft of this size crucial to have gentle control on the stick and calm pilots. Great perspective and really cool to watch. Thank you for uploading!
I have heard that Lukla airport in Nepal is the most dangerous airport in the world. And yes, I have landed there, as a passenger.
So calm and collected. Extremely professional pilot. Interesting to watch this approach and landing in cloudy, rainy weather - much different to what we usually see with landings at this airport..
True Legendary Captain! She should go down in the world book of records as the most professional pilot by just looking how risky she handled this Boeing through 70% visibility inside the valley up until the Landing. Most dangerous Airport verses a Female Skillful Captain Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow. That really is nuts! 😮 Hats off to these skilled pilots.
So proud of the lady Pilot 🌹
God bless her 🌹
Just like a gentleman pilot, huh?
Gosh, I have tried to land this in MS FS 2020 so many times, in perfect weather conditions. I never even came close to getting a halfway satisfactory landing done. This pilot has exceptional skill. My highest respect for that.
just tried as well a few hours ago and ended up in a terrain escape maneuvre which also failed :D Yesterday I succeded an approach just like the one that went viral
There is one video of passengers screaming lol. Same rwy 15 approach. This was such a good landing, even tho the flare was a bit floaty, and always noticed they retard the levels bit late in Paro
It is truly wonderful that women in many places now have almost unlimited oppurtunities for careers!
In Illinois being a police detective for a woman even in the 1990's was almost unheard of!
Hats off... she deserves every prayer of great health and long life... A320... no joke.. lives depend on the decisions she makes.
Wow! Perfect approach and landing! Like a Boss!
One of ~50 pilots trained for landings at Bhutan's dangerous approaches. BRAVO ZULU!
