I followed your instructions step by step. I successfully removed my old chandelier and installed my new one with no problem!! Thank you so much!!
Ahhh!! That’s how it goes together!!
I spent two days trying to figure out my chandelier ..as it didn’t have the instructions. I watched your video and I finally have it together. THANK YOU!!
This is the first helpful video I've found. Thank you!
Glad this was still here, only way I was able to understand how to remove the glass covers on my chandelier! Thank you so much!
Great video! This helped us install our chandelier tonight!
I always wrap my pliers in electrical tape to prevent any marks on my chain.
Actually the most helpful video I watched on hanging chandeliers
That was amazing. So helpful
Great video, exactly what I was looking for! I especially appreciated the detailed closeup shots. After an hour of trying to understand the direction on "what comes first" with the nuts and bolts, I gave up. While in bed, I decided to look for at som videos on hanging chandeliers. Your video was the first one I opened. It's so clear, I got out of bed and was able to put it together in less than 3 minutes. Thanks a bunch!!
Just followed these directions and it worked great! Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thank you so much for this video. It was not until I viewed your video that I figured out what was wrong with the wiring in my chandelier. The wiring instructions that came with it (and how I wired it initially) were flat out wrong!! Thanks again:)
Very helpful. Thank you!
thankyou for thid demonstration
Thank you so much, you saved me !!!!!
thanks! totally helped my dad and I install our chandelier!
Great demonstration video. It helped me out a lot! Thank you!
+Latin Label Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the video ..... very informative 👏
Best light video I have seen. Thanks
I noticed that before you connected the ground wire that you did not have the chandelier wires going up through the nipple. You corrected that before you attached the ground wire. In the first scenario the canopy would not have gone on because the wires were in the way. This helped me because before this I was connected the wires first and then had a twisted mess.
Looks real nice
Excellent vid! I'm actually going to be installing 3 new ones in my home soon. This was perfect!
xFenix A2x Glad my video was helpful. Cheers!
Great video, good method, much better than the instructions that came with my lamp. As stated below, make sure you get the right lamp wires to the black and white lines in the house. For mine, the smooth wire with writing connects to black, the rigid/square wire connects to white.
I like that style chandelier, especially with the extra light at the bottom. Where did you buy it and for how much? I'm about to install a chandelier right now while watching your video. Thxs very much!
Where can i get a heavy duty chain pendant like that in chrome and brass
Thanks bro your video was actually the video we needed my wife and I installed ours with few issues but all in all got it done thanks bro. Next ceiling fan. If you make one please post.
Thanks for the very detailed video. It helped me a lot while swapping out my chandelier.
theguru83 Glad my video was helpful!
Good video!
Great video bro.
Great video
Thanks! this video is very helpful with clear instructions.
Very helpful. Thank you!
LOL... He said nut.
Dr., I think you did a great job explaining the video! We have a similar type lamp and looking over this video goes into detail of what we can expect, and use as a guide as well. Thanks!
Nina Goddard Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for this video!!!
Thanks for the video. It was really helpful!!
Thanks for your comment!
Very good Thx,,,
Thank you do l good job it so easy the way you explain l did it
Awesome video. I accidentally snapped the ground wire from the chandelier, is there any way I can just replace that copper wire from the base of the chandelier?
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Quick question. We did all your steps but our chandelier is crooked a bit. Do you know how we could fix that ?
You probably need to let one of the screws come down a bit by unscrewing it some. Use a small level to see things are evening out. You’ll want to Do this from the ceiling mounting plate.
*FYI - When working with drywall in the ceiling, things kind of Eban and flow up there. It’s not always even from the start . Houses settle and we have to work around that.
So you can modify one screw by tightened it in further. If the level is still showing there’s an issue, adjust again and or take a peek at the other screw. It also may be in need to be loosened or tightened to balance out the overall project better.
Sorry if that doesn’t sound clear. I wish I could send you a screenshot of what I’m Speaking of.
Maybe Google: how to fix a crooked chandelier. As they’ll likely have images that will walk you through it.
Good luck!
Yeah. Buy a new one.
After hooking up the exact same way why would my lights be down and not bright
nicely done...I like your vids....
Thank you!
You should use Daylight bulbs, With yellow-ish covers it looks way too yellow. Daylight will appear to be white with the cover.
Wow, that is very nice. We are a lighting manufacturer
Aaaaaaaaaamazing
I have two sets of wires coming out of the electrical box on the ceiling (both positive and negative). Is it okay if I join the two hot wires from the electrical box to the wire from the chandelier? Then, could I join the two negatives form the electrical box to the negative from my chandelier? Thanks.

Эх
Nice and simple. Thanks, it helped a lot
+Felix Alonzo Glad my video helped!
If both wires are the same .. from the chandelier.. it goes to anyone hanging from the box in the ceiling?
Can the chandelier that has 120V be used to 220V?.
thanks for the video I don't have a ground wire on my chandelier what should I do.
+Ron Rosario See if you can wrap the ground onto the metal part of the light.
I am changing the glass globes(shade) in the Chandelier. I switched out two of the but I can't unscrew that metal ring in the center of other. It's too tight. The others unscrewed with little effort. Any suggestions on how to loosen the ring w/o breaking the globe or socket?
Nice job thank you
If the cord is to long what do u do?
You can coil it or cut it at the junction box.
It is important to wire correctly. You can wire this backwards and it will still work however you may get a shock later when changing bulbs or cleaning lamp. If you have a lamp with two wires with the same color, usually the neutral wire will have writing on it or a ridge or notches. Always be careful when working with electrical wiring. Otherwise it was a great video.
Sophiecjp Thank you for that information. :)
Sophiecjp my chandelier wire with writing on it was for the black and the non-writing/blank was for the white!!!
What color is neutral cable? White or black?
Thanks I have a Hampton Bay, and it has two wires same color and one has writing but the instructions does not tell you which is Neutral, with your comment I just figured this out, thanks a Million @sophiecjp
So scared to do this right now
Great video! I had terrible instructions and 60 crystals to string up!
nice
Question?? Does the 2 screws to the electrical box sufficient enough to carry a 35 lb light fixture?
Yes, they are all like that.
Wish I'd watched this video before I put the bracket up!!!
I want to hire you to help me replace two chandeliers
Thanks for the video, this help a lot. Will try to do this tonight,
John Huynh cei
Not supposed to connect 2 ground wires to 1 screw. Also your marettes are the wrong size
Can you adjust the length of the chain?
Yes, you need to use pliers to open the chain links and also shorten the length of the cable.
dial2fast Thanks so much! I'm thinking the "cable" means the electrical wiring? I'm still not sure if I want to do it myself yet. Your video helps show so many things I didn't know. I do know to turn the breaker off before you do anything. I like the way you showed how to open the links. I have put lights in before but not a chandelier.
so did you do it yourself in the end? just curious if it worked out ok..
Michael Lemontzis Not yet. I ordered the one I wanted, and when it comes I'm going do it myself. Well, with a little help from someone who can hold it up. It actually looks just like the one in the video. I ordered it from Menards. :-)
CUB NATION108 Nice, good luck with it. :)
Why would you NOT assemble your new chandelier BEFORE you begin the process?? Otherwise, nice job.
It's heavy and awkward to handle when installing.
@@dial2fast Not in the air, on the ground like you did after you took down the old one. Why wouldn't you assemble it before you even began in the even something was broken, missing, etc., so you don't have a gaping hole in your ceiling while you run back to the store.
Wend
If the fixture wires were the same color, how did you know which was for the black/white connections? I have yet to find a UA-cam video on how to properly DIY wiring. Thumbs down AGAIN!
I just replaced my kitchen chandelier, both wires from the fixture were black. The wire that connects to the white wire Is ribbed. The wire that connects to the black wire is smooth.
