@@Bokobling Blues (aka Protoman) has a more finite lifespan than the other Robot Masters due to a faulty core that's slowly leaking energy. He originally had a solar core but was faulty and leaked energy, Dr. Light said that he could fix Blues' core but couldn't guarantee that he'd be the same after the operation as before it. Blues declined as he takes pride in his individuality (this is also why he hates the Sniper Joes as they're based on his design) and leaves. Eventually, a dying Blues is found by Dr. Wily who says he can fix his core and keep his personality so Blues agrees and Wily gives him a nuclear core in addition to his buster and helmet but this core is also faulty and leaks energy, meaning that Blues (now Protoman) still has a limited lifespan.
